About Us
We’re Cyted - a pioneering gastrointestinal health diagnostics company enabling more patients early access and detection for esophageal cancer and Barrett’s esophagus.
Our technology brings a minimally invasive diagnostic approach to market - our EndoSign test combines a swallowable pill-like device with advanced biomarkers and analytics to help detect disease earlier and faster.
What started as an idea between a health-tech entrepreneur and leading clinical scientists at Cambridge University has quickly grown into an international company operating across the UK and US, backed by investors such as EQT Life Sciences and a $44M Series B investment.
But we still work like a startup - because we are one.
Things move quickly here and we build as we go. Some days you’ll be solving problems first of their kind with innovative approaches. Other days you’ll just need to roll your sleeves up and get things done.
That’s the reality of building a company that’s growing fast and trying to genuinely change patient outcomes.
We’re a small, highly collaborative team, which means your work matters. We have the trust and belief from our investors so you won’t disappear into layers of hierarchy or spend months waiting for decisions. If you have a good idea, we want to hear it, regardless of your role or title.
We like people who are curious, adaptable, thoughtful, and always willing to learn and improve. This isn’t a polished corporate environment where everything already exists. We’re building processes, teams, products and ways of working in real time. Every day is different.
If the idea of helping build something ambitious from the ground up excites you - and you want your work to have a real-world impact on people’s lives - we’d love to hear from you.
Our recruitment process runs through four stages and we interview on a rolling basis. Each stage has its own purpose.
As we have grown, we have made each contact point based on candidate feedback, making sure you actually get a helpful insight into Cyted. We want to give you the most open & true snapshot of us no matter the role. Initial conversation – Run by Maddie from our People team, this is a relaxed online chat so we can learn more about you and your background, and so you can learn more about us too. Line manager interview – This online chat explores the role in more detail through scenario-based and role-specific questions to see how you would bring your skills and knowledge into Cyted. Team interview & assessment – To meet the wider team and see how we work in-person, we like to involve a panel of team members to listen to your ideas in either a presentation or assessment format. Final Interview – Marcel, our CEO, still speaks to every new potential employee. In this online meeting, you will get to discuss your goals and explore how they align with the company’s history and future vision.
Role Summary
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for creating and growing Cyted's commercial presence across Southeast territory, helping health systems adopt an innovative diagnostic solution that enables earlier cancer detection and improves patient care.
You'll own the emergence and success of your territory, creating new opportunities, building lasting relationships and supporting customers from their first interaction through implementation, adoption and ongoing expansion. Working with health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), academic medical centres and gastroenterology providers, you'll engage clinical, operational and executive stakeholders to understand their challenges and demonstrate how Cyted can help improve patient access and redesign care pathways.
This is a highly autonomous, field-based role. Success comes from being out and in the middle of the market - meeting customers, building networks, identifying opportunities and turning relationships into long-term partnerships. You'll spend your time dedicated to customers, diving into and winning their time in-person, becoming a trusted partner within your territory while consistently delivering commercial growth.
As Cyted continues to expand across the US, you'll work closely with Clinical, Medical Affairs, Product, Operations and Customer Success to solve customer challenges and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Your insight from the field will directly influence how we refine our commercial approach, improve adoption and continue to grow.
We're looking for someone who enjoys building. Someone who creates opportunities rather than waits for them, takes ownership and enjoys getting out to meet customers and build lasting relationships. Whether you've helped launch a new territory, grown an early-stage business or are looking for the opportunity to make a bigger impact, you'll thrive in an autonomous environment where initiative is valued and your contribution will directly shape Cyted's commercial growth.
Working Pattern and Location
The role is a full-time position with a standard 40 hour working week. The role holder will need to frequently visit other company sites and may be required to work flexibly.
In this role you will be accountable for:
Health System and Specialty Care Business Growth Developing and executing strategic sales plans to expand adoption of Cyted's diagnostic solutions across priority health systems and care settings. Engaging clinical, operational and executive stakeholders to demonstrate clinical, operational and economic value, securing reimbursement, new business and successful implementation. Driving customer adoption, utilisation and growth by overcoming barriers, expanding programmes and increasing access through new care delivery models. Expand Market Access and Early Detection Programs Educating stakeholders on the clinical and economic value of earlier detection and its impact on patient outcomes, healthcare costs, and quality metrics. Working cross-functionally with Clinical, Product, Medical Affairs, and Operations teams to support implementation and ensure customer success by redesigning care pathways that improve access to screening, diagnostic testing. Identifying and pursuing opportunities to integrate Cyted's solutions into preventive care, population health, and risk-stratification programs. Commercial Pipeline Growth Maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities by developing executive-level relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across healthcare organizations. Representing the company at industry conferences, customer meetings, and regional healthcare events. Providing market intelligence and customer feedback to support product development, commercialization, and growth strategies. Accurately managing sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions within CRM systems.
To thrive in this role, you will have:

Experience launching new products, territories or services in healthcare, diagnostics, medical devices or life sciences. Track record of generating new business and managing complex enterprise sales cycles, ensuring sustained success post-implementation. Willingness to travel extensively across the Southeast territory. Experience within molecular diagnostics, pathology, gastroenterology, oncology or medical devices Understanding of healthcare reimbursement, value-based care or commercialisation of innovative diagnostics. Skills & Knowledge Strong commercial, relationship-building and influencing skills. Proven ability to generate new business and build trusted customer partnerships. Organised, self-sufficient and comfortable managing a territory with autonomy. Personal Attributes Proactive, curious and motivated by creating opportunities. Role Summary
We're looking for a Medical Science Liaison who's ready to hit the ground running, learn whilst creating success at Cyted, and help bring our clinical value to life.
As we expand and commercialise in the US, we're partnering with pioneering health systems, gastroenterology practices and clinicians to introduce a new approach to earlier cancer detection. This is an opportunity to help shape how a new and innovative diagnostic is understood, adopted and embedded into real-world clinical practice from the very beginning.
As the first field-based Medical Affairs hire in the US, you won't inherit an established territory or years of existing processes. Instead, you'll get the opportunity to own and build them. Working alongside a small, ambitious team, you will get to make a visible impact, take ownership, solve problems and influence how Cyted grows across the US.
You'll partner closely with Medical Affairs, Commercial and Clinical Operations to communicate the science behind our technology, educate healthcare professionals, generate valuable field insights and support successful adoption. Combining scientific expertise, stakeholder engagement and commercial awareness, you'll help strengthen our evidence base, identify opportunities for clinical collaboration and ensure customer feedback directly shapes the future of our product.
We're looking for someone who's built early experience in Medical Affairs or a scientific field role and is hungry to learn, grow and make their mark. This role is for someone who enjoys building rather than maintaining, takes initiative without waiting to be asked, and wants the opportunity to have an influence far beyond their job title.
If you're motivated by innovation, excited by the pace of a growing company and want to play a meaningful role in bringing a first-of-its-kind diagnostic to patients across the US from the start, we'd love to hear from you.

In this role you will be accountable for:
Building Clinical Partnerships Building trusted relationships with gastroenterologists, pathologists, advanced practice providers and key healthcare stakeholders across your territory. Communicating the scientific and clinical value of Cyted's technology, tailoring discussions to each audience and stage of adoption. Delivering engaging clinical education, training and scientific presentations that build confidence and support successful adoption. Becoming a reliable scientific partner, providing credible, evidence-based support throughout the customer journey. Driving Clinical Adoption and Insight Partnering with Commercial and Clinical Operations to support customer onboarding, implementation and ongoing utilisation. Gathering real-world clinical insights, customer feedback and market intelligence to help shape products, evidence generation and commercial strategy. Identifying opportunities for clinical collaborations, investigator-initiated studies and real-world evidence generation. Helping Shape Medical Affairs at Cyted Taking ownership of cross-functional projects, proactively solving problems and collaborating across Medical Affairs, Commercial, Product and Clinical teams to help shape Medical Affairs and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Staying informed on developments in gastroenterology, oncology, diagnostics and the evolving US healthcare landscape, bringing valuable insights back to the business. Contributing beyond defined responsibilities, embracing opportunities to improve processes, support colleagues and help Cyted grow.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
Qualifications and Experience Relevant scientific, clinical or healthcare experience, supported by a degree or equivalent professional experience in a life sciences, healthcare or related discipline. Advanced scientific or clinical qualifications are welcomed but not required. Experience communicating scientific or clinical evidence in a way that builds confidence, influences adoption and supports better patient care. Experience working within diagnostics, biotechnology, medical devices or healthcare, with an enthusiasm for innovative technologies and improving clinical pathways. Skills and Knowledge The ability to communicate complex scientific information clearly, adapting your approach for different clinical and business audiences. Strong relationship-building, collaboration and influencing skills, with the confidence to work independently and across cross-functional teams. Excellent organisation, prioritisation and problem-solving skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve quickly. Personal Attributes A proactive, self-starting mindset, taking ownership, showing initiative and finding opportunities to make an impact. A genuine desire to learn, grow and build something new, embracing ambiguity and helping shape how Medical Affairs develops at Cyted. A collaborative, resilient and purpose-driven approach, with the energy to roll up your sleeves, support your colleagues and contribute wherever you're needed.
Success in this role will look like:
Within your first 30 days Building strong internal relationships, developing a deep understanding of Cyted's technology and confidently representing our scientific and clinical value. Within your first 60 days Establishing trusted customer relationships, delivering impactful clinical education and contributing to successful adoption across your territory.
Within your first 90 days Independently driving scientific engagement, identifying opportunities to strengthen adoption and making a visible contribution to the growth and evolution of Medical Affairs at Cyted.
