The General Warehouse 2 position receives and stocks raw and finished goods, pulling raw materials for production, putting away finished goods, pulling branch replenishment, and shipping product to other Lawson distribution centers. A General Warehouse 2 employee may also be responsible for Order Association, preparing customer orders and shipping finished goods to customers.
**Position Duties:**
+ Responsible for the movement of finished & raw materials in the distribution center, handling various items including small items, heavy items, and hazardous materials. Handles small and large items manually.
+ Unloads inbound deliveries of materials and supplies arriving daily via various modes such as FLT, LTC, UPS & FedEx. Performs visual inspection of each item prior to receiving to verify receipt of the correct product and any potential shipping damage. Confirms piece counts match quantities listed on bill of lading, distinguishing unit of measure for item .
+ Unloads and puts away inbound deliveries of raw materials and supplies.
+ Moves materials to next appropriate station (inspection, packaging, storage racks and outbound.
+ Picks items/product in multiple modules including static bins, carousels, flow rack. Pulls branch replenishment orders for distribution centers
+ Prepares product for shipment, packing orders into various size boxes.
+ Prepares skids for outbound shipments to branch or external customers.
+ Loads customer and branch distribution centers shipments as scheduled onto designated common carrier and completes all required shipping documents.
+ Print Shipping labels, shipping manifest, prepares bill of ladings, product nonconformances and other documents used through the warehouse.
+ Uses various equipment in performing the job . Works from RF device and paper work orders . Operates a variety of industrial material handling equipment to include forklifts , pallet jacks, and skid wrappers. Uses required packing materials including tape machines, dunnage machines, gloves, bags. Uses shrink wrap, box ends, and other various packing techniques to package items for shipping.
+ Performs various other functions as need including but not limited to: returns processing, cycle counts, item consolidation, physical counts.
+ Other Duties as assigned
**Position Requirements:**
+ Knowledge and experience to safely operate all material handling power equipment such as forklift, power walkie, skid wrapper etc, will train as necessary
+ Basic math, English and computer skills
+ Participates in continuous improvement activities such as Lean and Safety
