This role is responsible for helping organize warehouse staff, supporting inbound and outbound activities, and ensuring daily operational goals are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

The Warehouse & Ops Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the warehouse & ops team for their shift, ensuring that each required task is executed and conducted properly and safely.  The Warehouse & Ops Supervisor is also responsible for anticipating and troubleshooting issues as they arise and managing the performance of warehouse & ops leads and warehouse associates on their shift; using all information available and collaborating with other stakeholders as needed.  

Detailed Responsibilities
Supervision of Core Warehouse Functions:

The Warehouse & Ops Supervisor must demonstrate proficiency in all warehouse functions and processes and ensure compliance with standard procedures on a daily basis. The Warehouse & Ops Supervisor is accountable for maintaining the layout and organization of all drop zone and warehouse spaces and ensuring the warehouse & ops team is creating and promoting a safe workplace.   

Issuing Product to Production:

• Ensures full utilization of WMS for product moves to and from the production / shipping floor.
• Familiarizes themselves with all trackers and inventory items to be able to verify production needs and provide guidance to team on correct product
• Stays abreast of e-mails and other forms of communication directing changes to products required for production as a result of product shorts, delivery delays, or quality issues. Supervisor is expected to communicate to the warehouse team in a timely manner to preclude errors or production stops.
• Ensures warehouse drop list is utilized to pull product for the production floor
• Ensures product is placed in the correct quantity and location on floor per WMS and follows up when not meeting expectation
• Upholds standard procedures for staging product in coolers and freezers when applicable
• Must be able to read boxing call-out sheets and distinguish which meats are assigned to meals to clarify for the team and audit processes.
• Works with warehouse lead to ensure team is making progress against task list 
• Works in collaboration with production management to problem solve when warehouse team responsibilities impact production efficiency 
• Conducts end of shift walkthrough to make sure that end of shift clean up duties have been completed and that all items are returned to the designated locations by assignment and temperature before leaving for the day. This requires a recap to be documented and communicated to all of the warehouse team.
• Conduct audits of storage to ensure putback process adhered to by team.

 

Supervision of Warehouse Personnel:

The Warehouse & Ops Supervisor is responsible for leading the warehouse team on their shift. Supervisory responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Escalates the issues and resolutions to idea share with other shifts and other plants
• Ensures all warehouse associates have been properly trained to safely move materials within the facility. Expected to audit the team during daily interactions and floor presence.
• Ensures all warehouse associates have been properly trained in standard operating procedures for the warehouse department.
• Audits the P.I.T. checklists for the department to ensure that all equipment being used has had a pre-shift operational check.   
• Ensures all warehouse associates are using WMS.  Driving accuracy and efficiency daily. 
• Conducts performance evaluations for warehouse leads and associates in a detailed and timely manner.
• Coaches through positive reinforcement or constructive feedback  as necessary and maintains record of all coaching actions.
• Develops team leads to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned team members.
• Works with Inbound/Outbound Superintendent to manage scheduling and time off requests. 

Communication and Coordination:

• Acts as the main liaison between Warehouse and Production during active shifts
• Ensures shift handoffs between Warehouse and Production are smooth and well-communicated, with clear status of materials and returns
• Escalates and resolves delays, inventory gaps, or system discrepancies impacting production readiness or warehouse efficiency
• Recommends and assists in implementing operating procedures and promotes continuous improvement within the department and the company.

General Responsibilities: 

• Follows the facility GMPs and Safety policies. This helps enforce them throughout the facility. 
• Supports the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs as well as HCOS. Expectation is that all areas of warehouse responsibilities score at or above established standards.

This is a part time non-exempt temp position. This role is responsible for the proper performance and efficient operation of the following functions: cleaning and disinfecting medical devices to reduce any bio burden, inbound receiving of goods, outbound shipping to internal and external customers, and maintaining accuracy of inventory. Job Description

The Warehouse Coordinator will support the Logistics associates to receive, inventory, and ship materials toward satisfying our internal and external customer's expectations. In this role you will:

 

• Create deliveries, assigning carriers, scheduling carriers, and creating Bills of Lading for domestic and international shipments.
• Process internal material requests, assist with cycle counting, assist with receiving, and perform other warehouse-related tasks.
• Enter and maintain accurate shipping and inventory data in warehouse management systems, including SAP modules, to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Verify shipment accuracy, documentation completeness, and compliance with shipping requirements prior to carrier pickup.
• Coordinate with multiple departments including Customer Service, Repair, Logistics Planning, and occasionally external customers to resolve shipping inquiries and expedite orders.
• Assist Warehouse Associates with their tasks as needed, providing support during peak periods or special projects.
• Perform cycle counts and physical inventory verifications to maintain accurate stock levels and identify discrepancies.
• Monitor and track shipment status, providing updates to internal stakeholders and customers as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Inbound/Outbound Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the dock area, managing the inbound and outbound shipment processes, and ensuring timely and accurate handling of products. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Dock Superintendent will coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operations and meet company standards for safety, quality, and productivity.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Ensures issues with facility spaces or powered industrial trucks are escalated to the Maintenance team via established reporting systems.
• Responsible for WMS compliance of the team at receipt through the putaway to storage process.  
• Ensures all receiving processes are completed in accordance with SOP. Must be able to adapt plans and communicate effectively to the team ad hoc changes or directives that are not outlined in an SOP.  
• Communicates any variances or issues immediately to the team and all stakeholders affected.  Establishes a clear follow up timeline  for root cause analysis.  Ensures retraining and additional communication are conducted as needed.
• Conducts audits of receiving and putaway processes to ensure accuracy and compliance of execution metrics. Provides immediate feedback to team members to promote growth and development.
• Assesses efficiency of receiving activities and works with receivers and putaway team to improve efficiency and workflow when tasks are not being completed at expected pace.

Shipping: 

• Conducts check of pallet shipping sheet and the admin shipping list to verify documentation for cases shipped has been properly completed and all cases scanned in facility
• Coordinates with logistics provider to manage pick-ups; accurate loading for outbounds via “Outbound Trailer Scheduler”
• Ensures standard processes for tagging, storage, and loading of outbound pallets are followed
• Verifies all special out-bounds, such as transfers, to ensure accuracy of load and all documentation is uploaded per SOP
• Audits load sheets completed by the loaders to ensure accuracy
• Communicates all doors remaining for pick up per recap and/or dock log.  Ensures all corresponding BOLs are completed and uploaded if picked up.  If still pending pickup, ensure the load sheet and BOL are prepared and left for the oncoming shift.
• Logs all trailers pick up in pallet shipping sheets and ensures uploaded to file for reference.
• Ensure hourly dock checks are completed so no truck is left behind or misses dock out.  Escalate and Communicate any issues to logistics and/or manager for follow-up.

Operational Efficiency 

• Monitor and optimize dock operations to maximize efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Implement and maintain best practices for dock layout, material handling, and equipment utilization.
• Ensure 99% putaway accuracy and maintain slotting and rotation for the building
• Ensures location accuracy in the warehouse including proper put away, rotation, FEFO management, and proper WMS audits
• Manages coordination with other departments for scheduled deliveries, pick-ups, and any discrepancies of these that could negatively impact our ability to meet customer deliveries.
• Serves as shift level point of contact for logistics providers and other departments
• Executes shift handoff, communicating with both inbound/ outbound team and other departments
• Recommends and assists in implementing operating procedures and promotes continuous improvement within the department and the company.

Reach Truck Operators are primarily responsible for the movement of all received pallets through the facility, owning correct FEFO/FIFO as they manage organization of storage and proper rotation. They handle the loading of finished goods, transfers, and donations pallets on outbound trailers; keeping meticulous load diagrams. The operators perform all tasks and duties  in a safe, timely, and organized manner in accordance with SOPs and Home Chef's commitment to safety first, quality always.

Detailed Responsibilities

Receiving

• Ensure inbound trailers have been safely secured per safety guidelines prior to unloading.
• Unload pallets and stage in designated areas on dock for receiving and QA inspection.
• Palletize all mixed products onto separate pallets to assist with accuracy of inspection and receipt.
• Upon completion of receipt, scan pallets and ensure they have both QA sticker and Receiving License Plate and that the License Plate is fully completed.  Haul those tagged pallets to the correct storage location. 
• If there are older pallets of like product in elevated storage locations, the operator must rotate that down into the selection position and place the newly received pallet in an elevated storage location as close to the selection bin as possible.  This helps with inventory counting and item rotation for future shifts.
• Keep the dock clear of debris by cleaning up while working.  This precludes safety risks and food safety concerns.
• Keep pallets and receiving tools organized on the dock.

Production Support

• Verify all products being issued to production teams against drop list, production sheet, or boxing call out to preclude introducing the wrong product into assembly or portioning.
• Keep production drop zones stocked per guidelines communicated by lead/supervisor.
• Keep drop zones clean, organized, and free of debris or broken pallets.
• Ensure all pallets being returned to locations are not mixed and all boxes are taped and labeled per our food safety requirements. 

Shipping

• Ensure outbound trailer has been safely secured per safety guidelines and inspecting for debris, holes, pests, or temperature deviations prior to loading.
• Identify pallets to be loaded from the applicable staging area.
• Load pallets and complete load diagrams accurately.
• Seal truck and turn load diagram in to lead/supervisor for driver pick up.
• Remove the safety device once paperwork is turned in so the driver can hook up to the designated trailer upon arrival.
•  Keep the dock clear of debris by cleaning up while working.  This precludes safety risks and food safety concerns.
• Keep pallets and shipping tools organized on the dock.

Organize Warehouse

• Keep the warehouse organized by ensuring all products go back to the proper location after use.
• Keep items grouped together for easier location of product.  No mixed pallets in storage or pick bays.   
• Uses the reach truck to pull down existing pallets in higher elevations to put the newest product in those double or drive in locations PRIOR to placing newly received product in those storage locations. 
• Proactively ensures that older products are rotated down to floor selection/pick positions for quick retrieval by warehouse associates or inventory to supply production in an expedient manner. 
• Proactively keeps the selection/pick positions replenished to minimize downtime for warehouse associates to fulfill production requests.
• Remove broken pallets or empty pallets from selection bins as applicable.  
• Sort broken pallets from usable ones.  Stacking all usable pallets in quantities of 10-15 and wrapping in designated color.  All bad pallets are wrapped in red or designated color  and placed on a pallet trailer or designated area until removed from the facility.  All good stacks of pallets will be placed in the racks together for ease of counting.

Detailed Responsibilities

Receiving

• Will apply glad hand lock and wheel chocks for any trailer to unload
• Will assist FSQA and receivers with breakdown of pallets for quality checks and to transport to storage
• When produce or packaged good are received in the associate will place produce/packaged goods into correct storage
• Placed produce/packaging must be staged according to FIFO and in correct temperature storage location and remove any plastic from produce that needs to breathe
• Notify leadership if any product is found to be out of correct location
• Work on creating space for inbound loads
• Ensure all storage pods are kept free of debris

Replenishing

• Set floor for decanting and shipping lines per drop list and boxing call out
• All packaging material is set for box team, shipping lines, and decanting area
• Prior to production running completely out of product, the warehouse associate will bring out the requested material according to the production's count.
• Answer call of any additional product needs for production
• Move anything needed for production, warehouse, sanitation, or FSQA
• Prior to leaving for any break, warehouse associates will check with the production team as well as make a visual check of produce/packaging in use to ensure the area is fully stocked before leaving production area.
• Near the end of each shift remove any material from the drop zone as well as the return area that production will not use for the incoming shift. All product is returned to home location

Shipping

• Check all trailers loaded on the shipping dock for trash or pine pallets, remove any items found that are not needed for completed shipments
• Put on glad hand lock on trailer and chock wheels prior to being loaded
• Using the load diagram form load trucks with completed pallets with management approval - full load 26 pallets
• Once the trailer has been fully loaded, place a FedEx seal on the closed trailer door to signify ready for ship and put the serial number for the load seal on the load diagram form and we remove the glad hand lock. Turn in paperwork to leadership 

Support other Warehouse functions 

• We are one team. Team members are expected to assist with completing any function needed for our company to deliver finished goods to the customer. This includes using any  equipment certified on or assisting other departments to get the job done for the day. 

General Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures throughout execution of all tasks.  This includes, but is not limited to, performing pre-shift equipment checks for all equipment used and wearing required PPE. Safety first!
• Follow the facility GMPs and help enforce them throughout the facility.
• Sign for all equipment needed to perform your duties.  Ensure these are signed back in upon completion of shift. 
• Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs. Quality always!
• Be respectful of others.  Team members are expected to carry themselves in a professional manner in all situations and at all times.

This role follows a 2nd shift schedule, working from 4 PM to 12:30 AM, with designated days off on Monday and Tuesday.

Warehouse associates will ensure the needs of both production and warehouse are met throughout their respective shifts by the timely and safe delivery, shipping, and receiving of produce and packaged goods.

Detailed Responsibilities

Receiving

• Will apply glad hand lock and wheel chocks for any trailer to unload
• Will assist FSQA and receivers with breakdown of pallets for quality checks and to transport to storage
• When produce or packaged good are received in the associate will place produce/packaged goods into correct storage
• Placed produce/packaging must be staged according to FIFO and in correct temperature storage location and remove any plastic from produce that needs to breathe
• Notify leadership if any product is found to be out of correct location
• Work on creating space for inbound loads
• Ensure all storage pods are kept free of debris

Replenishing

• Set floor for decanting and shipping lines per drop list and boxing call out
• All packaging material is set for box team, shipping lines, and decanting area
• Prior to production running completely out of product, the warehouse associate will bring out the requested material according to the production's count.
• Answer call of any additional product needs for production
• Move anything needed for production, warehouse, sanitation, or FSQA
• Prior to leaving for any break, warehouse associates will check with the production team as well as make a visual check of produce/packaging in use to ensure the area is fully stocked before leaving production area.
• Near the end of each shift remove any material from the drop zone as well as the return area that production will not use for the incoming shift. All product is returned to home location

Warehouse Worker

Pay Range: $20-23/hr

Shift: Monday – Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm

Location: Turtle Creek, PA

Duration: 6 Month Contract 

Responsibilities:

• Using lists of production orders to pull parts from production
• Packaging of material using work instructions
• Movement of finished goods and raw materials around manufacturing plant using forklift, carts, hand trucks, and/or pallet jacks
• Loading/unloading of trucks on a shipping dock
• Receipt of material into ERP system (similar to SAP or Oracle)
• Inspection of raw materials and/or finished goods

Requirements:

• 1 year of relevant warehouse experience including receiving materials
• Forklift operation experience
• Experience working in an ERP system similar to SAP or Oracle
• Be able to consistently lift and move objects up to 40 lbs
