Position Summary:
Interpreting and entering client samples into computer system; managing large projects; maintaining client files; delivering rush samples; serving as information contact at receipt of samples in an efficient and detailed manner with a high degree of quality
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
- Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Moderate sample interpretation of clients’ analytical requirements and data entry into computer system by keeping up-to-date with technical center requirements
- Project management of client projects; liaison between project manager and Sample Registration
- Delivery of rush samples to appropriate technical centers
- Maintain client files containing quotes, purchase orders, bottle orders, and incoming sample activity records
- Handling of incoming informational calls into department
- Read, understand, and carry out standard operating procedures; follow all safety precautions and procedures
- Unpack sample kits and coolers received at lab
- Provide training assistance within department to new and/or current employees
- Assist as needed throughout the department (labeling samples, filing paperwork, etc
- Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
Role is full time: Tuesday - Saturday, 9am-5:30pm. Training will be M-F 1st shift, 8am-4:30pm.
Basic Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
- Computer skills, including data entry
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
- Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or Sponsorship
Ideal Candidates will have:
- 1+ years of related laboratory experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stay productive during times of high volumes of incoming samples
- Able to retain large amounts of information
Pay rate: $17.75/hour

Group Lead - Sample Management

Position Summary:
The Group Lead, Sample Management is responsible for leading daily departmental operations and supervising Sample Management personnel to ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant handling of samples throughout the laboratory workflow. This role provides direct leadership for employee performance, development, scheduling, training, and operational execution while serving as a key liaison between Sample Management, Project Management, and laboratory operations. The Supervisor Group Lead oversees workflow prioritization, resolves operational and personnel issues, supports automation and storage systems, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to meet client expectations and departmental performance objectives. Through effective communication, coaching, and resource management, this position ensures a safe, productive, and customer-focused work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise, coach, and develop Sample Management employees to ensure individual and team performance objectives are achieved.
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports to provide feedback, coaching, performance guidance, and career development support.
Complete all performance management activities, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, year-end evaluations, and ongoing performance discussions.
Address employee concerns, attendance issues, performance deficiencies, and behavioral concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Oversee onboarding activities for new employees and ensure successful integration into the department.
Provide training, mentoring, and development opportunities for new and existing staff.
Conduct interviews and participate in hiring activities to support departmental staffing requirements.
Maintain employee training records and ensure required training is completed and documented.
Coordinate daily department operations, including workload distribution, task assignments, staffing plans, and workflow prioritization.
Establish daily team expectations and communicate operational priorities through shift huddles and routine team communications.
Monitor departmental performance and communicate operational metrics, workflow status, and key updates to leadership and incoming shifts.
Review shift carryover activities, backlog trends, and workflow bottlenecks to ensure timely resolution and continuity between shifts.
Review departmental logbooks and operational records to ensure end-of-shift responsibilities are completed accurately and consistently.
Manage employee schedules and departmental staffing to meet business and customer requirements.
Handle incoming departmental communications and ensure timely response, escalation, and follow-up as needed.
Supervise coordination activities between Sample Management and Client Services/Project Managers to ensure client requirements are understood and fulfilled.
Serve as a key point of contact for resolving operational issues that may impact project execution, turnaround times, or customer satisfaction.
Attend leadership, operational, and cross-functional meetings and communicate relevant information to department personnel.
Cascade organizational, departmental, and operational communications to employees to ensure awareness and alignment.
Oversee long-term sample storage capacity and ensure effective utilization of storage resources.
Support troubleshooting and resolution of Automated Sample Retrieval and Storage System (ASRS) issues to minimize workflow disruptions.
Ensure compliance with laboratory quality systems, safety procedures, chain-of-custody requirements, and standard operating procedures.
Monitor departmental performance and identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, quality, productivity, and customer service.
Develop, implement, and monitor operational improvement initiatives to enhance departmental performance.
Evaluate workflow processes and identify opportunities to eliminate inefficiencies and improve service delivery.
Partner with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and departmental objectives.

Role is Tues-Sat, 3pm - 11:30pm.
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of sample management processes and TALS
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

Ideal Candidates will have:
Advanced knowledge of laboratory sample management processes, sample lifecycle requirements, and chain-of-custody principles.
Expert proficiency in TALS and other laboratory information management systems.
Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and the ability to coordinate resources to meet operational priorities and client commitments.
Demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex sample management issues and make sound operational decisions.
Previous leadership experience
Strong leadership, mentoring, and training skills with the ability to develop and support team members.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels of the organization.
Strong organizational and workflow management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
Experience coordinating cross-functional activities between Project Managers, laboratory personnel, and operational teams.
Knowledge of hazardous sample handling, storage, disposal, and associated administrative requirements.
Ability to troubleshoot laboratory systems and coordinate resolution of technical workflow issues.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, compliance, and customer service.
Ability to function as a lead resource and departmental subject matter expert while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Sample Splitter (2nd Shift) - Eurofins Environment Testing - Lancaster, PA

The Sample Splitter will perform sample splitting on soil samples by following a program in LIMS (Lab Information Management System) that will display the types of splits and checks that need to be performed.
- Performing soil splitting also includes performing a moisture check on samples as required.
- This will also require weighing out the sample mass using a balance and recording the information in LIMS.
- Performing moisture checks on a moisture analyzer
- Will be running instrumentation and transferring data into the LIMS system
- Additional duties will include performing sample discard on various bottle types by following a program in LIMS that indicates when a sample is ready for disposal.
- Additional duties as assigned
This is a full-time position on 2nd shift, Tuesday - Saturday 3pm-11:30pm. Training will be on 1st shift M-F for 3-4 weeks.
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work independently
- Basic computers skills including data entry
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous laboratory experience
- Previous experience with instrumentation
- Attention to detail
- Ability to use a balance and measure using milliliters
