**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Promptly and warmly greets and directs guests to their tables based on availability or desired seating arrangements.
+ Helps create an overall enjoyable dining experience and promotes a safe, clean and neat environment for guests and other associates.
+ Exhibits exceptional communications skills. Gets along well with others, demonstrates flexibility and patience; possesses an interest in people.
+ Maintains a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.
+ Supervises the activities of food-service associates in the dining room to ensure proper customer service, food handling and sanitation procedures are followed.
+ Helps train new food-service team members.
+ Supervises the closing of the assigned dining room; ensures side work and station setup is properly completed.
+ Demonstrates knowledge of emergency safety procedures and helps evacuate guests to safety in the event of fire or other emergency.

In this role, The Host presents a positive first impression of the restaurant friendliness, excellent service, and high standards. They are responsible for managing the seating charts for the outlet and greeting guests upon arrival before seating. They assist in maximizing revenue by ensuring that seating times are optimized, and guests are strategically seated based on preference and outlet standards.
+ Maintain positive guest relations at all times and resolve all guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
+ Maintain general knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, wines, beer brands, and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet.
+ Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set-ups, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, price range, and dress code of assigned outlet.
+ Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minor, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
+ Complete opening and closing side duties.
+ Greet guests and inform of any wait times, while monitoring any wait list to seat guests as quickly as possible.
+ Seat guests and provide menus, using the guest information in the Reservation System to personalize their stay while introducing the guest to their server.
+ Enter and confirm guest information into the Reservation System, noting all preferences and dietary restrictions.
+ Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact.
+ Answer incoming calls and emails to the outlet, providing the appropriate service in accordance with hotel standards.
+ Manage the flow of guests into the Dining and Bar areas and maintain ambiance in the outlet in accordance with hotel standards.
+ Assist outlet staff with food running, table bussing, or other duties as required during busy periods.
+ Be observant to guests’ needs throughout dining experience to ensure they receive high quality service.
+ Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
+ Maintain a professional and personable appearance at all times, according to hotel standards.
