We are hiring a contract-based Senior Frontend Developer for the garden3d creative collective with a focus on West Coast candidates. Original job posting link
About garden3d
We are worker owned creative collective, innovating on everything from brands and IRL communities to IoT devices and cross platform apps. We share profit, open source everything, spin out new businesses, and invest in exciting ideas through financial and/or in-kind contributions.
Our client roster includes Google, Stripe, Figma, Hinge, Black Socialists in America, ACLU, Pratt, Parsons, Mozilla, The Nobel Prize, MIT, Gnosis, Etsy & Gagosian.
We’re the software team behind innovative products like The Light Phone & Mill, and we operate a global, decentralized community space collective called Index Space.
We think of our garden3d as collective for creative people, prioritizing a happy, talented, and diverse studio culture. We work on projects that bring value to our world, and we balance deep care for the work we do with a genuine curiosity about life outside of our jobs.
Who we’re looking for:
We're looking for a Senior Frontend Developer who excels at building pixel-perfect websites using modern frontend frameworks. You'll collaborate with our team to build elegant, performant, and visually stunning web experiences. Your work will span a diverse range of client projects, from immersive brand websites to complex web applications, all requiring a keen eye for detail and technical excellence.
This hiring effort will focus on Front-End Developers based in the U.S. West Coast. Candidates in the Pacific Time zone are preferred (LA/SF proximity is a plus). We are also open to candidates located in the Mountain Time zone.
In this role, you’ll work on a variety of client projects to find cost-effective, high-quality, pragmatic solutions to complex problems. Responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with Technical Lead to meet clients' development needs
- Building and maintaining high-performance web applications with modern frontend frameworks and tools
- Implementing responsive, accessible, and pixel-perfect user interfaces based on design specifications
- Integrating frontend applications with headless CMS platforms, APIs, and third-party services
- Optimizing application performance, including bundle size, load times, and runtime efficiency
- Architecting scalable component libraries and design systems for consistency across projects
- Writing clear documentation for code maintenance and usage
- Participating in project team meetings, including Sprint Planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
- Participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to teammates and ensuring adherence to best practices
The person we’re looking for is happy, relaxed and easy to get along with. They’re flexible on anything except conceits that will lower their usually outstanding work quality. They work “smart”, by carefully managing their workflow and staggering features that have dependencies intelligently — they prefer deep work but are OK coming up to the surface now and then for top level / strategic conversations.
We believe people with backgrounds or interests in design, art, music, food or fashion tend to have a well rounded sense of design & quality — so a variety of hobbies or side projects is a big nice to have!
Must Have Competencies:
We’re always pitching for new and exciting technology niches. Some of the areas below are relevant to us!
- 8+ years writing highly performant frontend code, an obsession for 95+ Lighthouse scores
- Expert level experience with Typescript, and one of Next.js, Nuxt, Svelte, Vue
- Extensive experience with headless CMS like Sanity, Contentful, Prismic or more
- Fluency in industry standard PaaS like Vercel, Netlify, Firebase, etc
- Fluency in eCommerce technologies like Shopify (headless & liquid), Stripe, Swell and others
- Experience building accessible, responsive interfaces with attention to performance optimization and SEO best practices
- Strong understanding of modern CSS methodologies (Tailwind, CSS Modules, etc) and animation libraries
- Experience with state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Pinia) and API integration patterns
- Proficiency with testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright, Cypress) and commitment to writing maintainable, well-documented code
- Experience with design systems and component libraries, working closely with designers to ensure pixel-perfect implementations
- Real-time & performance optimization: experience with WebSockets for live data updates, caching strategies (Redis, CDN-level caching), CDN configuration and optimization (Cloudflare, Fastly), and image optimization techniques including proxies and delivery networks
Nice to Have Competencies:
We’re always pitching for new and exciting technology niches. Some of the areas below are relevant to us!
- WebGL & Canvas expertise: experience building interactive graphics, animations, and visualizations using WebGL, Three.js, or native Canvas API
- Data visualization: creating compelling, interactive data visualizations with libraries like Mapbox, D3.js, Chart.js, or similar tools
- Full-stack development experience: comfortable working across the entire stack, from frontend to backend and database layers
- PostgreSQL expertise: strong experience with database design, query optimization, and managing complex relational data structures
- GraphQL & API design: building and maintaining GraphQL or REST APIs with a focus on performance and developer experience
- Real-time technologies: experience with WebSockets, Server-Sent Events, or similar technologies for building live, interactive features

- Client-facing experience: working directly with customers to gather requirements and provide technical solutions
- Product management experience: defining product roadmaps and collaborating closely with stakeholders
- Engineering management experience: leading teams, setting technical direction, and mentoring developers
Compensation
Our pay scale ranges from $100/hr to $130/hr pending seniority (& team leadership experience), and our projects are rarely less than 8 full time weeks at 40 hours per week.
We prefer long standing relationships with highly accountable and communicative team members, so we encourage candidates to expect longer term engagements.
How we interview:
Our interview process starts with a call where you get to meet a few members of our team. From there we’ll ask appropriate candidates to take part in a technical exercise which helps illustrate skill level and comfort.
How we work:
We believe that there’s a better balance between the poles of freelancing & full time, and for that reason Sanctuary works differently to most shops:
- Transparency & Ownership: We release out Profit & Loss statements to the community each year, open source our best ideas, and talk business & money with everyone in the company. We’re proud to run our business with integrity, and for that reason we share everything with our team & community.
- **150% Carbon Negative:** Our studio offsets 150% of the carbon we use to do business each year, dated back to our founding in 2015. We turn down work that is not in-line with our morals, and we encourage our peers to do the same. We have been certified climate neutral since 2021.
- **Strong Morals:** Since our founding, we've turned down somewhere between $1mm - $2mm of work that didn't meet our moral standards. (Most of that was DTC brands that can't show a valid sustainability initiative).
- Async & Decentralized: We use tools optimized for calm, thoughtful communication, and opt for async whenever possible. We fight hard to maintain our focus time.
- Remote Friendly: Our company is fluent in remote work, making our workplace more decentralized, and democratized in the process.
- Ideas & Products: In our spare studio time, we work to build our own open source or internal products to diversify & bolster our income. We create amazing technology products for our clients, so why not for the studio?
Important Reminders
Kindly submit a complete and thoughtful application, including relevant links that help verify your work experience and identity. Applications with missing or insufficient information will not move forward in the review process.
Our team carefully reviews every complete submission, and we truly appreciate the time and effort you put into applying.

EventMobi: Senior Front End Engineer - Remote
Company Name
Headquarters: 151 Yonge Street 11th Floor Toronto, Ontario M5C 2W7
URL: https://www.eventmobi.com/
*** EventMobi is an all-remote company and this is a fully remote position, open to all candidates with a focus in Pakistan, India, Brazil, Columbia, Argentina and Mexico.
You will need to be able to work in EST time zones. ***
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN US?
At EventMobi, you won’t just ship UI features. You’ll help shape the core front-end architecture behind a global event platform used by thousands of organizations that rely on it to perform, scale and evolve.
Our web applications are not thin presentation layers. They are large, offline-capable, cross-device React/TypeScript systems with shared design foundations, complex state management, performance-sensitive rendering and long-term architectural considerations. The decisions you make here compound.
We believe great software is built by engineers who take ownership beyond the ticket. You’ll have the space to challenge assumptions, improve abstractions, influence technical direction, and think in systems - not just components.
We also believe the strongest engineers of the future know how to work with AI. We actively encourage AI-native development to reduce repetitive work, increase quality and ultimately drive higher throughput — so your time goes toward design thinking, architecture, and meaningful problem-solving.
If you care about product thinking, craftsmanship and building software that lasts, you’ll find real leverage here.
HEAR FROM OUR SENIOR ENGINEER & DEV LEAD ALI:
“I joined the team as a Software Engineer five years ago, and what keeps me here is the rare balance between high-level technical challenge and a genuinely sustainable pace. In many senior roles, you expect to spend your days 'extinguishing fires,' but here, the focus is on architectural integrity and long-term stability.
The engineering culture is built on mutual respect and deep technical expertise. We don't just ship features to hit arbitrary deadlines; we take the time to conduct thorough, meaningful PR reviews that serve as a mentorship tool for the whole team. Having been here for half a decade, I've seen our systems evolve, and I've always felt empowered to take ownership of the roadmap and advocate for the right technical decisions.
What stands out most is the lack of ego. Even as a Senior, I'm constantly learning from my peers. The environment is collaborative which makes it easy to focus on what actually matters - writing clean, scalable code and solving complex problems.
If you're a seasoned engineer looking for a place where your experience is valued, your growth is supported, and your work-life balance is actually protected, this is the place to be.”
WHAT YOUR WORK WILL FOCUS ON:
This isn’t a “pixel pusher” role. You’ll operate at the intersection of product thinking, architecture, and hands-on engineering.
Build Modern Web Experiences
- Evolve our high-performance, responsive Progressive Web App
- Implement offline-first capabilities, real-time updates, and scalable front-end architecture
- Deliver experiences that work flawlessly across devices, even in low-connectivity environments
Own Features End-to-End
- From ideation and design review to implementation, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring
- Implement offline-first capabilities, real-time updates, and scalable front-end architecture
- Deliver experiences that work flawlessly across devices, even in low-connectivity environments
Architect for Scale
- Design abstractions that survive real-world complexity
- Navigate and improve large codebases and legacy systems
- Keep performance, maintainability, and developer experience in balance
Raise the Bar
- Mentor engineers and lead by example
- Advocate for clean code, strong testing, and disciplined engineering practices
- Contribute to a culture of technical excellence
Work Smarter with AI
- Embrace AI-assisted development using tools like Claude, Codex, and other LLMs to move faster on feature, tech and routine work
- Reinvest that time into more ambitious features, stronger code quality, and better long-term systems
- Focus on solving high-impact problems instead of repetitive tasks
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
You’re not just experienced—you’re thoughtful about how software should be built.
- 8+ years building scalable, user-facing software
- 4+ years of deep experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React
- Strong architectural thinking and problem-solving skills
- Comfort working in large, evolving codebases
- Experience with REST APIs, JSX, modern HTML/CSS
- Automated testing experience (Jest, React Testing Library, end-to-end)
- Clear, professional written communication (we’re async-first)
- Strong understanding of SOLID principles, domain modeling, and design patterns
- A mentorship mindset—you elevate the people around you
NICE TO HAVE:
- Strongly typed TypeScript across hooks and components
- React Query or similar API integration libraries
- Mobile app development experience (Capacitor, Cordova, React Native)
- Docker, AWS, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines
THIS ROLE IS PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU IF..
Let’s be honest. You’ll struggle here if:
- You prefer tightly scoped, ambiguity-free tasks
- You need frequent synchronous meetings to move work forward
- You’re uncomfortable making independent decisions
- You’re skeptical of AI-assisted workflows
- You haven’t worked in a fully remote, async-first environment
We value autonomy, clarity in writing, and momentum.
OUR INTERVIEW PROCESS

- Introductory Conversation (45 minutes)
Meet with the VP of Product & Engineering to discuss your background, experience, and career goals. - Technical Assessment (120 minutes)

FINN: Lead Frontend Engineer
Company Name
Headquarters: Singapore
URL: https://www.finn-app.com/
Are you ready to shape the financial future of a rapidly growing fintech that’s transforming lives across Southeast Asia and beyond?
We’re not your typical company - we’re a rocketship! At FINN, established in 2022, by experienced serial founders - we’re on a mission to transform financial well-being for underbanked employees. Our product provides early wage access, financial education, budgeting tools, part-time job opportunities, and micro-insurances. We've hit product-market fit with explosive growth during the past 12 months.
We need a true Frontend Lead who stays deep in the code but also guides the frontend team (currently 2–3 devs, growing).
This is a heavily hands-on role (80–90% coding) with light people leadership (1:1s, code-review ownership, tech direction, mentoring). If you enjoy both building pixel-perfect features yourself and helping others level up, this is for you. Future growth into Head of Frontend is realistic for the right person.
What You’ll Own
- Own the entire frontend codebase (Angular 17+, TypeScript, Ionic/Capacitor, Firebase)
- Ship our native Android app via Capacitor (and add iOS down the road)
- Turn Figma designs into responsive, performant, pixel-perfect UIs
- Architect reusable components and maintain a clean, scalable codebase
- Drive performance optimization (rendering, lazy loading, bundle size, API efficiency)
- Set up and maintain testing strategy (unit with Jest, e2e with Playwright/Cypress)
- Run feature-flag and A/B testing flows
- Lead code reviews and enforce best practices
- Run weekly 1:1s, help unblock the team, and keep frontend velocity high
- Collaborate directly with backend, product, and design on a daily basis
- Keep us up to date with modern Angular/Ionic ecosystem practices
What You Bring
- 6+ years frontend development, at least 3–4 years deep with modern Angular working on high-traffic consumer platforms.
- Experience in cross-platform frameworks - ideally Capacitor/Ionic.
- Strong TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx (or similar state management)
- Excellent feel for product & design – you can open Figma, spot inconsistencies, and implement pixel-perfect UIs without hand-holding
- Performance optimization experience (Lighthouse 95+, bundle analysis, lazy loading, memoization, etc.)
- Testing discipline (Jest + Testing Library, Playwright/Cypress)
- Experience mentoring or technically leading small frontend teams (formal or informal)
- Fluent English and strong communication skills
- Reliable internet & hardware, able to work ≥35h/week with decent overlap with UTC+8 (Singapore time)
Nice-to-Have
- Proven track record shipping production Ionic/Capacitor apps to App Store & Play Store
- Previous work with financial services APIs or regulated environments
- Firebase expertise (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Hosting)
- Lottie / advanced animations
- CI/CD with GitHub Actions or similar
- Playwright for component & e2e testing
- Experience with Tailwind, Storybook, or Chromatic
Why You’ll Love It Here
- Real ownership – you will literally shape the entire product experience
- No corporate nonsense, fast decision making
- Competitive salary + meaningful equity (early stage package)
- Fully remote, flexible hours (as long as you have good overlap with Asia timezones)
- Small, high-caliber team that values clean code and shipping fast
If you live and breathe Angular/Ionic, care deeply about product and UX, and want to lead while staying hands-on, let’s talk.

Agents are helping us write an order of magnitude more code, while systems have become too complex for human-driven ops alone. We're rethinking DevOps from first principles for the AI era: a single control layer where engineers and agents safely collaborate.
We move fast. We aim high. If that sounds like the kind of problem you want to work on, we’d love to talk.
About the Role
At SuperPlane, you’ll shape the future of DevOps, creating features that bring intelligence, automation, and simplicity to complex infrastructure workflows.
You'll build interfaces that load instantly, feel flawless, and scale effortlessly. Every tooling choice, every pattern, every optimization decision is yours to make, and you'll be held accountable for the results.
What You’ll Do
-
Own frontend features from conception to deployment: UI, state management, performance, polish.
-
Build responsive, performant interfaces that integrate seamlessly with backend APIs and services.
-
Collaborate with AI and Product teams to implement intelligent, user-facing automation features.
-
Review peers' work and set the standard for frontend engineering excellence.
Requirements

Expert-level React and modern frontend (TypeScript, performance optimization, build systems, testing)
-
Full-stack capable: you write backend code when needed without waiting on others. We expect you to learn Go when you join the team.
-
You are proficient with AI-assisted development (e.g., Claude Code)
-
You've built production systems that scale and stay fast
-
You push systems and yourself to world-class standards.
