Contract
Posted 4 days ago

Headquarters: Idaho, USA
URL: https://lincolnfreedomgroup.com

Lincoln Freedom Group, LLC is hiring a Python Developer focused on code quality and standards on behalf of a growing client expanding into multiple new markets. This is a long term full-time 1099 contract role (40 hours/week) for someone who enjoys improving code quality and mentoring through the review process.

What You'll Do: Your primary focus is reviewing pull requests and ensuring the development team follows best practices and coding standards. You'll work in GitHub, approving PRs and providing constructive feedback to help developers write cleaner, more maintainable code. This isn't test automation or UAT - it's production code review. You'll collaborate with the team to refine and improve standards over time. There's also opportunity to contribute code alongside review work, giving you variety beyond pure review.

The Tech Stack:

  • Python (Django, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy)
  • GitHub and GitHub Actions
  • REST/SOAP APIs, Kafka
  • Network-focused applications

The Environment: The team is building out formal QA processes as they scale. Management is hands-off and trusts developers to own their domain. Your coworkers are collaborative, skilled, and appreciate someone who helps them level up.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong Python expertise with an eye for clean code
  • Experience reviewing code and providing constructive feedback

Lincoln Freedom Group, LLC is hiring a Python Developer on behalf of a growing client expanding into multiple new markets. This is a long term full-time 1099 contract role (40 hours/week) for someone who can take well-defined stories and deliver clean, reliable code.

What You'll Do: You'll work from Jira tickets with clear acceptance criteria, building and maintaining network-focused applications, so telecom/networking context is helpful but not mandatory. Breezy HR : Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS)

Company Name

Anywhere in the World
Full-Time

Headquarters: Jacksonville, FL
URL: https://breezy.hr/

Location: Remote (US)
Team: Engineering • Platform/Infrastructure

About Breezy HR

Breezy HR is a remote-first, hiring platform built for small and mid-sized businesses. Thousands of teams trust us to streamline recruiting from first touch to signed offer, and we’re passionate about delivering a fast, delightful experience for every candidate and every hiring manager.

Why we’re hiring

We need a senior hands-on owner to stabilize, secure, and evolve our cloud platform. You’ll be a primary decision-maker for AWS architecture, reliability, CI/CD, observability, and cost posture, partnering closely with the directors, developers, product, and customer success teams.

What you’ll own (hands-on + strategic)

  • AWS architecture & operations: Own production infrastructure end-to-end (networking, compute, storage, IAM, routing, scaling, backups, DR).
  • IaC & environments: Standardize and evolve Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or AWS CDK); codify dev/stage/prod with repeatable patterns and least-privilege IAM.
  • CI/CD: Keep deployments fast and safe (build, test, deploy, rollback); drive progressive delivery where it makes sense.
  • Observability & incident response: Ensure logs/metrics/traces + actionable dashboards; lead incident command and postmortems.
  • Security & compliance: Own cloud security baselines and support SOC 2 / ISO 27001 / GDPR needs.
  • Cost & performance: Right-size infra, track spend, and implement guardrails to prevent regressions.
  • Technical leadership: Document the platform, unblock developers, mentor peers, and cultivate cross-training so nothing is a single point of failure.
  • On-call: Alternate with others on the infra on-call rotation and train others as needed.

Our stack

  • Backend: Node.js microservices
  • Data: MongoDB (self-hosted) and Redis
  • Hosting/Orchestration: AWS
  • IaC: Terraform and/or AWS CDK
  • Tooling: Git-based CI/CD; common observability suites

What you’ve done

  • 7+ years building and running production systems on AWS (VPC, EC2, ELB/ALB, S3, CloudFront, Route53, RDS/ElastiCache, IAM, CloudWatch, SNS/SQS, etc.).
  • 5+ years Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CDK) and environment automation.
  • Proven CI/CD ownership for multi-service SaaS, including safe rollbacks and release hygiene.
  • Solid security fundamentals (least-privilege IAM, network segmentation, secrets, TLS) and familiarity with SOC 2 / ISO 27001 / GDPR expectations.
  • Observability end-to-end (logs/metrics/traces), incident leadership, and postmortem practice.
  • Proficient coding in JavaScript/Node.js (enough to contribute to internal tools, CLIs, or platform services).
  • Clear, pragmatic communicator who documents decisions and trade-offs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background with MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch
  • Prior team leadership

How we work

  • Senior, low-ego, remote-first team. We value fast feedback loops, little yellow/red tape, ability to iterate at startup-like pace

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • PTO: 15 days in year 1, 21 days in year 2
  • MacBook Pro + the gear you need
  • Fully remote

OnTheGoSystems: PHP developer (French or German speakers)

Company Name

Anywhere in the World
Full-Time
Posted 4 days ago

Headquarters: Remote
URL: http://onthegosystems.com

Join the team behind WPML, the multilingual plugin powering 1.5M+ websites.

We’re looking for developers who enjoy building features and staying close to real users. In this role, you’ll spend most of your time developing WPML, while also handling selected support cases that give you direct insight into how the product behaves in the real world.

Support isn’t a separate job here – it’s a feedback loop that helps you grow as a developer and helps us improve WPML faster.

Why This Role Works Well for Developers

  • Direct connection to real problems: You see issues before they turn into technical debt and can fix them properly.
  • Stronger product intuition: Support cases reveal edge cases, integrations, and workflows you won’t discover from code alone.
  • Your code has immediate impact: You’ll build features for one of the most used multilingual solutions in the world and help improve its reliability.
  • You influence the roadmap: What you learn from users feeds directly into better architecture and long-term fixes.

Why OTGS?

  • Profitable and stable: We’ve been self-funded since 2008 and support over 1.5M sites.
  • Remote-first: Friendly, global team working asynchronously across time zones.
  • High ownership: Developers make decisions, propose improvements, and shape the product.
  • Built-in growth: Mentorship, modern tooling, and opportunities to deepen your expertise in PHP, WordPress internals, testing, and performance.

You’re a Strong Match If You

  • Speak French or German.
  • Have real PHP experience.
  • Enjoy solving technical challenges and finding root causes.
  • Prefer clean code, tests, and long-term solutions over quick patches.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build new features and improve existing parts of WPML.
  • Handle selected support cases that require a developer’s understanding.
  • Debug issues, reproduce complex scenarios, and implement fixes.
  • Suggest and ship product improvements based on patterns you notice in support.
  • Grow your skills in automated testing, performance optimization, and modern development workflows.

If you want a development role with real product influence – and you don’t mind helping users along the way – this is a great fit.

Apply now, and looking forward to meeting you!

Toggl: Senior Backend Engineer (Toggl Hire)

Company Name

Europe Only
Full-Time
Posted 9 months ago

Headquarters: Tallinn, Estonia
URL: https://toggl.com/jobs/

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our Toggl Hire Engineering Team and help us shape the future of hiring.

You’ll be part of a small, fast-moving team building a modern applicant tracking system that puts skills and structured workflows at the center of the hiring process — making it faster, fairer, and more efficient for teams around the world.

We’re at an exciting stage: with solid foundations and growing customer traction, we’re now focused on refining our product and scaling what works. It’s a great moment to join if you’re looking to have real impact — not just by shipping code, but by helping shape the direction of the product and how we build it.

The salary for this position is €76,000 annually.

You can work from anywhere in Europe.

About the Team

Toggl Hire is one of Toggl’s four products, operating like an early-stage B2B SaaS startup backed by a well-established company. With solid foundations and growing customer traction, we’re focused on achieving product-market fit (PMF). With a small but growing team and the backing of an established parent company, you’ll have the rare opportunity to combine entrepreneurial ownership with the stability of a larger organization.

The Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be taking ownership of one or more product domains, and work closely with product, design, and frontend engineering to deliver impactful features that solve real hiring pain points.

You’ll help shape not just how we build, but what we build — contributing to technical decisions, product direction, and team culture. We value engineers who think in systems, take initiative, and balance speed and quality.

You’ll work with modern, well-supported tech including Go, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Platform, and we expect you to be opinionated about architecture, trade-offs, and maintainability.

Your main responsibilities will be:
  • designing, building and scaling backend services and APIs that power Toggl Hire’s core hiring workflows — including assessments, candidate pipelines, reporting and integrations.
  • collaborating cross-functionally to identify, scope and deliver high-impact product initiatives — from candidate-facing UX to recruiter dashboards.
  • designing, breaking down, and completing projects of a medium to large scope with high-level productivity
  • looking for technical problems of existing system/product without guidance and offering solutions
  • leading projects with a small group of people, such as hosting weekly meetings, communicating with other partners and stakeholders

About you

We would love to hear from you if you’re a proactive problem-solver who thrives in environments where speed, experimentation, and ownership matter. Your role isn’t limited to coding — you’re part of the product’s journey.

In particular, we are looking for:
  • Strong backend engineering experience in Go
  • Significant professional experience with distributed systems, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Infrastructure
  • Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation)
  • Experience with performance and optimisation problems, particularly at large scale, and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems
  • Ability to work cross-teams and improve cross-functional relationships which will facilitate ongoing projects
  • Effective communication skills, ensuring regular consensus with peers and clear status updates.
  • Strong collaboration skills across the company to define, design, build, and improve the product.
  • Experience with data warehouse, analytics systems, Kubernetes at scale, and system architecture at scale.
  • Eagerness to contribute to the engineering team's growth, including interviewing and mentoring junior engineers, and providing precise, actionable feedback to peers.
  • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, is required for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment

Benefits
  • Freedom to choose when and how much you work - we only measure results
  • 24 days of paid time off a year, plus your local holidays
  • Unlimited sick leave
  • In-person meetups for team-building (expenses covered)
  • 4-6 weeks paid sabbatical (depending on the tenure)
  • Laptop budget up to €2,500 and it renews every 3 years
  • €2,000 budget to set up your home office, and additional €300 every year after 3 years of tenure
  • €3,000 per year for co-working space membership and/or internet service at home
  • €4,000 per year contribution to use for training, workshops, and conferences
