Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and safety-oriented Diagnostic Electrician to join a high-performing maintenance team in a small, family-friendly Arizona town. The ideal candidate will handle the installation, repair, and optimization of electrical systems in a heavy industrial environment. You'll work hands-on with advanced electrical and control systems including AC/DC drives, PLCs, and instrumentation equipment. This role includes both preventive maintenance and system troubleshooting. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and report to the Electrical Supervisor or Maintenance Manager. Duties and Responsibilities
Perform removal, repair, and installation of industrial electrical systems and components.
Diagnose issues and conduct advanced troubleshooting.
Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment including substations, motors, and process controls.
Maintain and troubleshoot AC/DC drives, PLCs, and low/medium voltage systems.
Ensure installations meet regulatory and safety standards.
Use technical documentation and schematics for maintenance work.
Follow SOPs and safety/environmental protocols.
Support and train other electrical team members as needed.
Required Experience/Skills
Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial electrical or instrumentation maintenance
OR completion of a Certified Electrical/Instrumentation Program
OR Associate degree or trade certification with 2+ years of relevant experience
Proficient in reading technical manuals, prints, and schematics
Experience with AC/DC drives, PLCs, calibration tools, and medium voltage systems
Strong communication and safety compliance skills
Personal tools (or ability to obtain them within 90 days of hire
Nice-to-Haves
High School Diploma or GED
Experience with VFDs, HMI, SCADA, HVAC systems
Knowledge of diagnostic testing tools and electrical codes
Background in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments
Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent technical training preferred
Certified Electrical Program, Trade School Certification, or Associate's Degree
