Privacy Policy — My Jobscore

This privacy policy describes how the My Jobscore browser extension ("the Extension," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information. It applies to My Jobscore and to all of its whitelabel editions (for example, Jobseeker - California, Jobseeker - Kentucky, Jobseeker - Maryland, and similar state/brand-specific builds), which share the same code and data practices described here.

What the Extension does

My Jobscore is a job-seeker assistant. On job listing and job-application pages, it analyzes the page content to calculate a job-fit score and shows it in a small on-page widget. It can also help you autofill fields on a job application using information from your My Jobscore profile. The Extension's single purpose is to help job seekers evaluate postings and apply to jobs faster.

Information we collect

• Authentication information. When you sign in on myjobscore.com, the Extension reads your session (access token, refresh token, and seeker ID) so it can recognize you as logged in. This is stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) and is not visible to other extensions or websites.
• Personally identifiable information. If you use the autofill feature, the Extension reads profile and application information you've stored in your My Jobscore account (such as your name, contact details, and application answers) in order to fill it into the job application form you're currently viewing.
• Website content. When you're on a job listing or application page, the Extension reads the visible page content (job title, description, requirements, and similar posting details) in order to compute your jobscore. This content is sent to our backend (*.api.geedash.com) to run the scoring and parsing logic and is returned to the widget for display.

We do not collect health information, financial/payment information, personal communications (email, chat, etc.), location data, or your general web browsing history. The Extension only reads tab information (such as a page's URL) transiently, to know which tab to show the widget in or send a response to — this is not logged or stored as browsing history.

How we use this information

Information is used solely to operate the Extension's core features: keeping you signed in, computing a jobscore for the page you're viewing, and autofilling application forms you choose to fill. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics unrelated to the product, or any purpose outside this single purpose.

Data sharing

• We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties.
• We do not use or transfer your data for purposes unrelated to the Extension's single purpose.
• We do not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Data sent to our backend (*.api.geedash.com) is processed only to provide the scoring/autofill functionality described above and is not shared with outside parties.

Data storage and security

Authentication and preference data are stored locally in your browser using the Chrome storage APIs. Data transmitted to our backend is sent over encrypted HTTPS/WSS connections. You can remove locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the Extension or clearing your browser's extension storage.

Your choices

• You can uninstall the Extension at any time from your browser's extensions page, which removes all locally stored data.
• You can sign out of your My Jobscore account to clear your stored authentication session.
• To request deletion of your account data from our servers, contact us using the information below.

Children's privacy

The Extension is not directed to children and is not knowingly used to collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
