Job Title: Statistician

Job Description

Seeking a hands-on statistician to support process development and characterization projects through experimental design, statistical analysis, and technical reporting. The role involves collaborating with process scientists and engineers to develop study designs, evaluate experimental results, and prepare study reports using in-house JMP tools.

Education

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

• PhD or equivalent degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience applying Design of Experiments (DOE) to real-world process development problems.

• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis methodologies and experimental design.

• Proficiency in JMP, including statistical analysis and DOE applications.

• Experience developing experimental study designs, analyzing results, and generating statistical reports.

• Background in process development or process characterization.

Preferred Skills

• At least 2 years of industry experience in biopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices, including relevant industry internships or co-op experience.

• Experience with Minitab or other statistical and data-processing software.

• Background in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.

• Experience collaborating with process scientists and engineers on study design constraints, experimental execution, and process characterization.

Qualifications:
Education and Minimum Requirement:
" Minimum education: Masters in statistics/biostatistics or related discipline (e.g., chemical, industrial engineering) with a minimum of 2 years experience, or PhD or equivalent degree with a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience.

Required Skills and Experience:
" Proven experience applying DOE to real-life process development problems.
" Solid knowledge of statistical analysis methodologies and experimental design.
" Strong hands-on experience with JMP and working knowledge of other statistical and data processing software (e.g., Minitab)
" Must also demonstrate the ability to learn, be proactive and motivated, and consistently focus on details and execution.
" Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to function effectively in a team environment.

" Open to hybrid and remote candidates this is a project facing position and candidates must be comfortable communicating using Teams and email.
" Hybrid schedule is flexible, on need basis only.
" Exposure working with other scientists candidate must be willing to have a regular dialogue with team members.

Responsibilities:
" Develop study design (DOE), statistical analysis, and reported output using in-house developed JMP tools in fast-paced, critical path projects.
" Participate in process characterization teams to understand requirements to design study experiments and discuss results. Experiment design entails having joint conversations with the Process scientists/engineers to discuss the issues and constraints on study design and execution.
" Work with Process Scientists/Engineers to complete study reports as needed.
