Phorest Salon Software

**
United States

About Phorest

Phorest started in 2002 on a busy salon reception desk as a simple text-reminder tool.

Today, Phorest builds software and AI-powered tools used by more than 155,000 hair, beauty, and medspa professionals worldwide. We're a product-led SaaS company solving real-world problems across bookings, payments, marketing, and business management, with a big focus on building great experiences for both the businesses we serve and the people who use our products. Everything we build helps the salon and medspa industry thrive.

We're also a Certified B Corp, and 25% of the company is owned by Phoresters. When the company grows, everyone has a stake in that.

The Opportunity

We're building something exciting at Phorest.

We've established a strong reputation in the hair and beauty industry, and now we're investing in our next big growth opportunity: the North American medspa market.

We're looking for a curious, driven, and entrepreneurial Sales Development Representative (SDR) – MedSpa to help us introduce Phorest to medspa businesses across North America and create meaningful opportunities for growth.

This isn't your typical SDR role. You'll be joining us as we build our presence in a new market, helping us identify the right customers, start conversations, and create opportunities for our Sales team. You'll play an important role in shaping how we approach medspa prospects, testing what works, and building the foundations for future growth.

You'll focus on engaging established, multi-provider medspas, understanding their challenges, and demonstrating how Phorest can help them run and grow their businesses. From researching potential customers and developing personalized outreach to qualifying opportunities and booking meetings for our Account Executives, you'll have a direct impact on our success in this market.

And this won't all happen behind a screen. You'll also get out into the medspa community, attending industry conferences, trade shows, and partner events, meeting prospective customers, and helping build Phorest's presence in the market firsthand.

We're looking for someone with a genuine self-starter mentality. Someone who's comfortable picking up the phone, asking great questions, learning new technology, and figuring things out along the way. You won't always have a fully established playbook to follow, so you'll need to be resourceful, resilient, and willing to experiment.

If you're excited by the opportunity to get involved early, take real ownership, and help build something from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Find and engage the right medspa businesses

  • Research and identify established, multi-provider medspas that align with Phorest's ideal customer profile.

  • Build and manage a pipeline of potential customers through proactive outreach across phone, email, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.

  • Start meaningful conversations with medspa owners, operators, and practice leaders, understanding their needs and introducing the value of Phorest.

  • Qualify potential opportunities and schedule high-quality meetings for our Account Executives.

  • Work closely with the Sales team to ensure a smooth transition from initial outreach to sales conversations.

Create opportunities through targeted outreach

  • Develop and execute personalized outreach strategies for priority medspa accounts and regions.

  • Partner with Marketing to support targeted campaigns, Account-Based Marketing (ABM) initiatives, gifting programs, and events.

  • Follow up with prospects from medspa conferences, webinars, and partner activities, turning initial interest into qualified sales opportunities.

  • Test different approaches, messaging, and outreach channels to understand what resonates with medspa buyers and improve conversion rates.

  • Use tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to organize prospecting activity, manage leads, and track progress.

Get out into the medspa community

  • Represent Phorest at medspa conferences, trade shows, partner events, and other industry gatherings across North America.

  • Connect with medspa owners, operators, and industry partners in person, building relationships and identifying new sales opportunities.

  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales to support event preparation, on-site engagement, lead generation, and post-event follow-up.

  • Use insights and conversations from industry events to strengthen prospecting strategies and help shape how we approach the medspa market.

Collaborate, learn, and help shape our approach

  • Work closely with our MedSpa Marketing and Sales teams to share insights on lead quality, customer feedback, and campaign performance.

  • Collaborate with our Partnerships team to engage partner-sourced leads and identify opportunities for warm introductions.

  • Stay curious about the medspa industry, including market trends, competitors, business models, and the challenges facing medspa owners.

  • Build strong product knowledge so you can confidently communicate how Phorest helps medspa businesses succeed.

  • Share what you're learning from conversations with prospects, helping us refine our messaging and improve how we approach the market.

Take ownership of your results

  • Own your prospecting activity and work toward monthly and quarterly meeting and opportunity creation targets.

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, customer interactions, and pipeline activity within our CRM.

  • Monitor key performance metrics, including outreach activity, response rates, meetings booked, and qualified opportunities generated.

  • Continuously look for ways to improve your approach, build stronger relationships, and contribute to pipeline growth.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who's motivated by the opportunity to build, learn, and make a real impact.

You don't need years of traditional sales experience or to have worked in the medspa industry before. What's more important is your attitude, curiosity, and ability to create momentum.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Experience in sales development, prospecting, lead generation, or another customer-facing role where you've demonstrated strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Confidence engaging potential customers through phone, email, and social channels, with the ability to start conversations and build rapport.

  • A natural curiosity and the ability to quickly learn new products, technologies, and industries.

  • A proactive, self-starter mentality, with the confidence to take initiative and work independently without needing a fully established playbook.

  • Resilience and persistence. You're comfortable hearing "no," learning from setbacks, and adapting your approach.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple prospects, priorities, and follow-up activities.

  • A willingness to experiment with new outreach strategies, test messaging, and use feedback and data to improve results.

  • Familiarity with CRM or sales engagement tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally and confidently with business owners and decision-makers.

  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships teams toward shared goals.

  • Willingness and ability to travel across North America to attend industry conferences, trade shows, partner events, and customer engagements.

Even better if you have:

  • Experience in SaaS, B2B technology sales, or a startup or high-growth business environment.

  • Knowledge of the medspa, medical aesthetics, skincare, beauty, or wellness industries.

  • Experience engaging small and medium-sized business owners or multi-location operators.

  • Familiarity with Account-Based Marketing (ABM), personalized outbound campaigns, or event-driven lead generation.

  • Experience using AI-powered sales tools or automation to improve prospect research, personalize outreach, and streamline workflows.

Benefits

🧘 Phorest currently offers a range of fully employer-paid benefits including Medical, Dental, Life, AD&D, Short Term Disability, an EAP, and wellness perks.

💰 Employees also have access to optional extras, such as a 401(k) and a range of upgraded insurance options.

About ScholarshipOwl

ScholarshipOwl is the largest scholarship marketplace in the U.S., connecting over 14 million Gen Z students with private scholarships — and the brands that power them. Our mission is to make education financing more accessible and engaging, while giving brands a way to connect with the next generation.

We’re powered by AI technology that simplifies scholarship discovery, streamlines the application process, and delivers measurable results for both students and partners. Whether it’s helping students secure funding or enabling brands to run impactful campaigns, we’re reshaping how education is funded — and discovered.

The Role

We are looking for a gritty, resilient Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive fresh pipeline for ScholarshipOwl’s B2B side. In this role, you will be hunting down and qualifying brands looking to get in front of students across the fintech, higher ed, gaming, and consumer sectors.

Your main objective is clear: keep our Account Executives fully supplied with well-researched, high-intent meetings so the sales team never hits a dry spell. This is a high-volume, high-impact role for someone who thrives on building targeted lists, crafting punchy outreach, and handling rejection without losing momentum.

What You'll Do

  • Relentless Prospecting: Build targeted account and contact lists using tools like Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and HubSpot.

  • Multi-Channel Outreach: Execute high-touch cadences across email, LinkedIn DMs, video recordings, warm selling, voice notes, and cold calls.

  • Message Tailoring: Craft hyper-personalized messaging based on specific verticals, buyer personas, and deep pre-outreach homework.

  • Strategic Qualification: Run thorough discovery using the SPICED framework to qualify leads before handing them over to AEs.

  • Seamless Handoffs: Document detailed, spotless SDR-to-AE handoff notes so the AE can jump right into the demo without missing a beat.

  • Pipeline Mastery: Maintain immaculate CRM data integrity, including activity logs, property updates, and deal credits in HubSpot.

  • Metrics & Coaching: Present your weekly KPIs (activity metrics, reply rates, meetings booked/held) during the Monday Sales L10 and actively participate in team coaching sessions and call recording overviews.

What You'll Be Selling

  • Sponsored Scholarship Campaigns (SSC) - Our flagship product, acting as a performance marketing channel. Brands earn the next generation of customers, and students earn financial aid. You will be prospecting into Growth Managers or Marketing Leads who are evaluating vendors based on budget, ROI, and audience fit.

  • ScholarshipOwl Pro - Scholarship management SaaS for organizations already running their own scholarship programs in cumbersome or inefficient ways.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of outbound SDR/BDR experience targeting US companies, with a verifiable track record of quota achievement.

  • Tool Fluency: Solid hands-on CRM background (HubSpot preferred) and active LinkedIn prospecting chops (Sales Navigator or equivalent).

  • Execution: Proven experience running structured outreach sequences and dialing up activity metrics independently without micro-management.

  • Communication: Clean, punchy, and concise writing style. Strong written English proficiency (natural enough that a US marketing leader won't spot it as a second language).

  • Mindset: True grit to handle rejection, an inquisitive mindset that asks sharp discovery questions, and high coachability to apply constructive feedback immediately.

  • Education: None required. A proven track record of booking meetings completely overrides formal degrees.

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves):

  • 2+ years of experience in the SDR/BDR seat.

  • Experience selling directly into marketing, growth, or brand partnership leadership (CMOs, etc.).

  • A background in fast-paced startup environments where you built your own lists and cadences from scratch.

  • Familiarity with data enrichment and automation platforms (Clay, Apollo, ZoomInfo, PhantomBuster).

  • Experience using cloud-based, AI-powered sales platforms (Nooks, Orum) or AI-driven research/personalization tools.

  • A natural competitive drive backed by outside interests, athletics, or side projects, with a clear ambition to step into an AE role down the road.

Why Join ScholarshipOwl?

  • Mission-Driven Work: Build technology that helps students unlock education opportunities and reduce financial barriers.

  • Fully Remote: Work from anywhere in the world while collaborating with a global team. (Note: This role requires overlapping with standard U.S. working hours for client meetings).

  • High Impact & Ownership: You aren't just a cog in a machine; you own your domain and directly drive results.

  • Unlimited PTO: We value outcomes over hours worked and trust you to manage your time.

  • Computer Upgrade Budget: Up to $1,600 to invest in your ideal primary work computer.

  • Workspace Upgrade Program: Up to $800 to set up your home office.

  • Monthly Coworking Allowance: $200/month to rent desks or workspace passes whenever you want a change of scenery.

  • Owl Shine Program: Monthly employee recognition and awards celebrating extraordinary contributions.

  • Continuous Learning Culture: Dedicated support for curiosity, bold experimentation, and career growth.

  • Annual Global Off-sites: Connect with your teammates in person at exciting locations around the world.

About Aligned:

Aligned is the buyer enablement platform that helps modern B2B revenue teams close deals faster by solving the real problem: buying complexity. The biggest reason deals stall isn’t bad sales execution: it’s buyer friction. More stakeholders, longer sales cycles, and greater budget scrutiny mean buyers struggle to evaluate, gain internal buy-in, and get a deal approved.

Aligned removes these roadblocks by giving sellers and buyers a single shared space – one link with every decision resource, stakeholder, and next step in one place. With real-time signals, mutual action plans, and embedded deal playbooks, Aligned helps AEs drive deal momentum, reduce ghosting, and close with confidence – all while enabling their buyers to win.

About the role:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Sales Development Representative to join our sales team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building qualified pipeline through a mix of thoughtful outbound and fast, high-quality inbound qualification. 50,000 users / month use Aligned, meaning we have a LARGE pool of warm leads. Some have signedup for our free product, some are already paying on our individual plans.

Your job will be to monitor signals such as these (signups, social media interaction) and set up meetings with our AEs to explore our Enterprise-grade, org-wide product.

Key Responsibilities:

● Own prospecting to our ICP. You’ll map stakeholders and run multi-channel sequences (phone, email, LinkedIn, video) that earn first meetings

● Qualify leads quickly: run light discovery, confirm fit and timing and book high-quality meetings with full context for AEs.

● Collaborate on messaging tests, persona insights and campaign feedback with the BDR and Marketing teams

● Document learning and maintain excellent CRM hygiene.

● Track and achieve weekly activity and outcome goals and use data to iterate your approach.

What we’re looking for:

● Grit and Determination above all else. You are driven, don’t give up easily, and follow through on tasks and objectives.

● Self-Sufficient: Comfortable in a startup environment where things are constantly changing and all processes aren’t entirely defined. We’ll be looking to you to help us with this!

● Excellent Communication: Strong active listening, confident in prospecting, and ability to connect with different levels of prospects.

● Empathy and Integrity: Authentic and trustworthy. True passion for solving customer problems.

● Coachable and Adaptable: Open to feedback and able to improve quickly

● Comfortable with modern sales tools and curious about new approaches like digital sales rooms and buyer enablement. We use Nooks, Warmly, CommonRoom, Apollo and others.

Why Join Us?

  • Join the #1 Digital Sales Room on G2
  • Help grow a winning business that is growing fast in both revenue and headcount
  • Work closely with and learn from a leadership team that has built successful businesses and been top performers throughout their careers
  • Stretch your creative legs and technical fluency to build a world-class PLG-first sales motion
  • Be part of something that is redefining how sales teams work with buyers
  • Work for a business backed by top-tier VCs and tipped for huge growth
  • Career opportunities ahead as the business expands headcount and revenue

Compensation and Perks

  • 💰Compensation: Competitive $75,000 OTE salary with accelerators and quarterly spiffs
  • 🌎 Workstyle & Flexibility: 100% remote (North America-based only)
  • 🩺 Health & Financial Wellness: Fully Covered Healthcare, 401K with company match
  • 🌴Time Off & Balance: Generous PTO plus all federal Holidays
  • 💻 Tools & Setup: Top-of-the-line computer and equipment provided
