- The Laboratory Technician I Contractor in the Materials & Characterization R&D group will be responsible for conducting testing /experiments; writing technical reports; supporting test request work flow and operation of equipment in the materials characterization labs.
- They will ensure compliance with CLIENT quality policies, procedures and practices through appropriate communication, training and education of sound quality assurance principles; ensure compliance with all local, state, federal and CLIENT safety regulations, policies and procedures.
- Reporting to the Lab Manager, the incumbent performs bench-level engineering tests and/or research experiments designed to test the feasibility of concepts or technologies required for development or revision of new products.
- Lab Organization: Follow and support the workflow process for the materials R&D labs including instrument operation and maintenance. Follows GLP.
- Process Effectiveness: Ensure appropriate processes are followed for effective and timely stakeholder engagement and completion of assignments.
- Continuous Learning: Actively seek training to improve skills. Ensure technical lessons are reviewed, learned and disseminated.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Communication: Hold and encourage frequent formal and informal communication within the team.

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $23.00-$26.00 per hour.
