Work You'll Do
As a Manager you will lead and support various internal applications and infrastructure and the complex programs surrounding these applications including internal consultants, near-shore, off-shore technologists and multiple vendor relationships. You will work across geographies with accountability for the success, effectiveness and delivery of multiple work streams, managing a large, dispersed technology team. You will be responsible for a direct impact carrying a sales quota for both "hunting" and "farming" sales approaches. You will lead planning and budgeting, define deliverable structures and content, facilitate the buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels, directing the on-time quality delivery of work, managing technology economics and risk. You'll help organize and lead pursuit teams, participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process, contribute to pricing strategies, develop practical solutions and methodologies, develop "thoughtware" and "point of view" documents. You'll perform the role of counsellor and coach for other IT staff members and provide input and guidance into the future staffing needs. You'll provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.
Qualifications
+ 10+ years' experience in application support including "lights on" support services, development and customization
+ 8+ years' experience leading geographically dispersed teams to develop, design and support technical solutions in Java, Microsoft technologies, both on Cloud and .Net
+ 8+ years' experience leading large-scale global technology teams in a delivery lead capacity
+ Hands-on development skills in at least one of the following: 1) Java; 2) .Net; 3) Mainframe. Previous experience as a Developer is a plus.
+ A strong understanding of the fundamentals of software engineering with the ability to successfully articulate technology concepts to both a business and a technology audience at all levels.
+ Experience working in a multi-vendor environment and with third parties.
+ Extensive team leadership experience which should include managing people, projects, clients and financials with metrics around sales/delivery/utilization.
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Wages and Salary
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,800 to $241,000.

Job Summary
Strategically, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive plans that optimize efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence in delivery. This is a high- impact role that will lead, drive, and ensure the successful management and delivery of critical initiatives on our strategic roadmap. The role comes with a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy and will require effective engagement across Design, Engineering and Operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to own end-to-end delivery of network and data center capacity across concurrent builds.
This role will oversee data center focused projects and initiatives. Managing these construction projects well is key to the overall success of customer deliveries. You will engage directly with our Colo and LV partners’ leadership and project management teams, driving accountability and improvements to meet our customers’ needs. You will also engage with internal teams to make sure we deliver the proper design and process documentation to the Colo, execute on our ISP circuit contracts, and update all internal tracking tools for handover to our operations teams at the end of the project.
**ROLE is based in Abilene, TX. If you do not relocate to Abilene, 70% travel will be required weekly.**
**Responsibilities**
+ Being the end-to-end leader in charge of the program, from shaping the approach to achieving the desired outcomes through delivery.
+ Project Planning: Develop and implement long-term strategies for data center construction and network build projects to align with organizational goals.
