We are seeking a polished, dependable, and personable Part-Time Receptionist to join a busy, customer-focused team in Manassas, VA.

Key Responsibilities-
Answer and route incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner

Job Description
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our well-established GYN practice in Reston, VA. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, patient-focused, and comfortable managing a variety of administrative tasks in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key part in ensuring a positive, efficient, and professional experience from check-in to check-out.
Responsibilities
- Patient Support: Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Guide patients through the kiosk check-in process and answer basic office-related questions.
- Front Desk & Administrative Duties: Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments in accordance with practice protocols. Manage inbound calls, voicemails, and patient messages, routing inquiries to the appropriate staff as needed. Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, and maintain accurate and current demographic and insurance information within the EHR/EMR system. Collect and accurately process copayments, outstanding patient balances, and other amounts due at the time of service. Assist with referrals, medical records requests, and general patient file management while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and practice standards.
- Office Coordination: Sort and distribute mail, faxes, and deliveries. Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming reception and waiting area.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative setting.
- Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with computers, EHR/EMR systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive situations professionally, and de-escalate when needed.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to reliably commute to Reston, VA.
