POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Plant Finance Manager, your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Provide onsite financial leadership for the Lincoln, Illinois manufacturing facility.
- Serve as a business partner and change agent to plant leadership to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational targets.
- Analyze and validate financial data and performance metrics, including sales, production mix, cost variances, variable costs, and fixed costs.
- Provide financial insights and decision support for capital deployment, new projects, and operational decisions.
- Drive CAPEX, working capital, productivity, operational excellence, quality, and supply chain initiatives.
- Partner with operations to develop and monitor financial action plans and business strategies.
- Develop financial models to evaluate different operational scenarios and their financial impact.
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Monitor KPIs and operational metrics against established targets.
- Manage operational costs and support cost-reduction initiatives.
- Oversee inventory value and accuracy, physical inventory, and cycle-count activities.
- Lead forecasting, profit planning, and other key financial processes for the site.
- Analyze and interpret cost accounting data to support cost efficiency, pricing, and overall financial performance.
- Partner with Finance transformation, Controllership, FP&A, and shared services organizations.
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain on SIOP activities and monthly, quarterly, and annual production and cost planning.
- Manage and track COGS and ensure absorption aligns with financial plans and forecasts.
- Support MRP development and change management initiatives.
- Build organizational capability through hiring, talent development, and succession planning.
- Support plant leadership requirements and other financial initiatives.
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Plant Finance Manager who enjoys their work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Plant Finance Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or another related field from an accredited institution.
- 7+ years of progressive finance/cost accounting experience.
- 2+ years of direct people leadership experience.
- Previous experience working in or supporting a manufacturing, distribution, or similar organization.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial analysis.
- Ability to understand and communicate financial concepts to non-financial professionals.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Experience with financial and ERP systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with Oracle, SAP, Power BI, AS400, MAPICS, ENCORE, or Vista is preferred.
- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
