As a driver for Dollar General's private fleet, you will be connecting our distribution centers with existing Dollar General stores and new stores opening across the country.

Job Title: Plant Electrician
Location: Apple Creek, OH
Reports to: Maintenance & Technical Manager
Position Summary
The Plant Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment supporting manufacturing operations for plastic extrusion and paper/plastic tubing production. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations across all shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, controls, and equipment including extruders, winders, and associated machinery.
Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, relays, and control panels.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and plant electrical projects.
Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes and plant safety standards.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Document work performed, update electrical drawings, and maintain accurate records.
Support continuous improvement, energy efficiency, and reliability initiatives.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED; completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship or technical school preferred.
State electrician license or certification (where applicable).
3+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical work, preferably in plastics or paper converting environments.
Strong knowledge of motors, drives, PLCs (Allen-Bradley a plus), and industrial electrical systems.
Ability to work from heights, in confined spaces, and respond to emergencies as needed.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
