Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all accounting operations for a multi-location commercial construction business
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring consistent and timely completion
• Manage work-in-process and percentage-of-completion accounting
• Review and finalize financial statements and internal reports
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and construction accounting standards
• Oversee payroll activities in coordination with senior accounting staff, including confidential payroll
• Manage tax-related deadlines and compliance requirements, including benefit-related filings
• Lead, mentor, and develop an accounting team of approximately 10 to 12 people through two direct reports
• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to support operations and decision-making
