BRIEF POSTING DESCRIPTION:
The M ZC T&D OPERATIONS Department of the P T&D OPERATIONS Division at Hawaiian Electric Company has 1 Bargaining Unit vacancy available. (Role: Non-Exempt)
JOB FUNCTION:
Performs detailed field inspection of outside contractors' work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Schedules and coordinates inspection work for personnel in lower classifications and submits weekly reports for all inspection work.
• Directs personnel in the lower classifications.
• Assists supervisor in providing inspection training.
• Reviews, creates and submits electrical hand hole and manhole duct line wall schematics (butterfly drawings) and cable tag descriptions for supervisor's approval.
• May perform callout and overtime work with the line crew.
• Performs all work of Inspector (T37).
• Inspects work on Molokai and Lanai.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs similar and incidental duties as required.
• Assume an emergency management role, as assigned, and perform specific assignments or functions, as needed, in an event of an emergency, not to include routine trouble calls/callouts.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Graduate of Lineman or Cable Splicer Apprentice Program or equivalent training and experience.
• Must have or be able to qualify for a State of Hawaii driver's license. Must meet the standards for driving positions stated in the Hiring Standards for Driving Positions policy. These standards may be adjusted periodically to meet business and safety objectives.
• Must pass Company Written Job Knowledge Test.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience working with MECO construction standards and drawings.
