Job Summary:
Our client, a leading company in the meat processing industry, is seeking a Meat Utility Associate to support daily production operations in a refrigerated meat processing facility. This role assists in converting raw materials into finished products through processing, packaging, product handling, and sanitation activities.

Contract Duration: Approximately 3 months (624.90 total hours)
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Shift: 9:00 AM until production is completed
Location: Edison, NJ 08837

Key Responsibilities:
" Operate packaging equipment, including Multi-Vac and other packaging machines
" Package meat products for shipment and distribution
" Open meat products and de-box incoming materials
" Carry boxes and move products
" Assemble boxes and perform manual material handling
" Maintain sanitation and cleaning of work areas
" Adhere to food safety and workplace safety procedures

Job Summary

The Lane Packer Operator directly reports to the Production Supervisor. This position will handle the packing of eggs coming off the machine lanes. The position will require standing, bending, stooping, lifting and math skills. This area is working around moving parts and will require the operator to have a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Pack finished egg cartons into cases or arrange them on pallets according to established specifications.
• Inspect cartons for visible damage, broken eggs, packaging defects, and other quality concerns.
• Verify that date codes and other required markings are accurate, legible, and properly positioned.
• Close, stack, and secure cartons and cases to prevent product damage during handling and distribution.
• Monitor the packing process and promptly remove or report product that does not meet quality standards.
• Keep the assigned work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Monitor equipment during operation and promptly report jams, malfunctions, or unsafe conditions.
• Communicate production, quality, safety, and equipment concerns to the Production Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all food-safety, cGMP, hygiene, personal protective equipment, and workplace-safety requirements.
• Ability to work safely and maintain quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and work collaboratively with other team members.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
The packing associate will be responsible for transferring material from Work in Process storage to Finished Goods Storage. The associate will verify counts using a counting scale and by hand. The position will require lifting of containers weighing up to 40 pounds. This position requires the ability to efficiently store material in pre-assigned locations and the accurate preparation of documents. The associate must be able to read, understand and follow written work instructions

• Assist in the packaging and unitizing of shipments.
• Accurately count container quantities by hand or with a counting scale.
• Count and transfer parts from Work in Process storage to Finished Goods Storage accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in the preparation of new work instructions and help revise existing instructions as necessary.
• Follow all general and job specific safety and operating requirements established at YAMI.
• Provide suggestions for improvements in the warehouse and other work areas.
