This is a builder role for a leader who is equally comfortable developing strategy, rolling up their sleeves to execute, and scaling a high-performing marketing function.

What you will do:

  • Serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to company strategy by bringing customer insights, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and business performance data to inform executive decision-making and growth priorities.
  • Develop and execute Ozmo's integrated marketing strategy, aligning marketing investments with company growth objectives, revenue targets, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing organization through coaching, mentorship, and clear performance expectations while fostering innovation and accountability.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to develop marketing strategies that accelerate strategic account engagement, improve pipeline quality, shorten sales cycles, and increase win rates.
  • Lead Ozmo's Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategy, partnering closely with Sales to prioritize target accounts, align go-to-market initiatives, coach the team on account and buying group engagement strategies, and ensure programs drive measurable pipeline growth and revenue outcomes.
  • Lead demand generation across enterprise and SMB segments, balancing scalable digital programs with highly targeted campaigns designed for complex enterprise buying cycles.
  • Direct Ozmo's field marketing and event portfolio, establishing strategy, investment priorities, and success metrics for conferences, executive programs, customer events, partner engagements, and webinars to accelerate pipeline, customer engagement, and market presence.
  • Provide strategic leadership for integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring digital marketing, content, product marketing, sales outreach, and events are aligned into cohesive go-to-market motions that support business objectives and deliver measurable results.
  • Oversee product marketing, including positioning, messaging, competitive intelligence, product launches, pricing support, and sales enablement to ensure Ozmo's value proposition is consistently communicated throughout the buyer journey.
  • Partner with Customer Success to develop customer marketing initiatives that improve adoption, customer advocacy, expansion opportunities, and long-term retention.
  • Continue refining Ozmo's market positioning, messaging, and segmentation as the business expands into new products, customer segments, and markets.
  • Leverage market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and future growth.
  • Build a data-driven marketing organization by establishing clear performance metrics, attribution models, pipeline reporting, campaign analytics, and executive dashboards that connect marketing investments to revenue outcomes.
  • Partner closely with Revenue Operations to improve lead management, attribution, forecasting, funnel conversion, and reporting accuracy across the customer lifecycle.
  • Continuously optimize marketing performance through experimentation, analytics, customer insights, and emerging technologies, including AI-powered marketing capabilities.
  • Manage marketing budgets and investments to maximize efficiency, pipeline contribution, and long-term business growth.

What you will bring to the role:

  • 15+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including executive leadership within a SaaS company or organization selling complex technical products to enterprise customers.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise and SMB demand generation, with a demonstrated track record of developing and optimizing scalable growth strategies across digital channels that drive pipeline and revenue.

About The Agile Monkeys:

The Agile Monkeys is a software boutique with over 75 people and we keep growing. We do two things:

  1. We create products: We are a very creative team that is constantly pursuing new ideas and projects we love. Now we are focused on building products related to search and AI. We take great joy in tackling the challenges of AI associated with scalability and information retrieval.

  2. We deliver bespoke consulting solutions to leading enterprises, driving strategic transformation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

Why join us?

  • We’re independent and self-funded, so we get to build what we believe in — no investor politics

  • You’ll join a radically creative, fast-moving team that values ownership and experimentation

  • We work globally, but our roots are in the Canary Islands 🌴 — remote-first, international, and human-centered

  • We’re entering a hyper-creative phase in AI and product development — and we want your brain in the mix

About the position:

As VP of Marketing, you won’t just execute campaigns — you’ll help shape the strategy behind them. You’ll support shaping the strategy to define how we position our brand, segment our audiences, and grow our presence across channels. You’ll contribute to the marketing roadmap, challenge assumptions, and guide how we use tools, data, and creativity to scale what works. This role requires both strategic thinking and operational excellence — someone who can zoom out and see the bigger picture, then build the systems to make it real.

Some of the things you’ll be doing:

  • Lead & execute our growth strategy across both the consultancy and product studio

  • Contribute to the long-term marketing strategy in collaboration with the CMO and business leadership.

  • Design and run campaigns across digital, social, and content — aligning with business goals

  • Implement and scale marketing systems for lead generation, nurturing, and analytics

  • Manage a mix of internal contributors, freelancers, and agencies

  • Collaborate closely with product, sales, and talent teams to align messaging and audience

  • Use AI and modern martech to optimize campaigns, content creation, and reporting. Identify and test new marketing channels, partnerships, or tactics that align with our brand and growth goals.

  • Shape and evolve our brand voice and presence, internally and externally. Help evolve our positioning and messaging to keep us relevant and differentiated in a fast-moving industry.

  • Set and track KPIs and marketing ROI — and iterate constantly

  • Stay hands-on in tools: Hubspot, GA4, Notion, Figma, Webflow, and emerging platforms. Stay ahead of the curve on AI marketing trends, recommending and piloting emerging tools or frameworks.

  • Analyze market trends, customer segments, and performance data to inform strategic priorities and campaigns.

What is required in terms of APTITUDE:

  • 6+ years in marketing or growth roles, ideally in fast-growing B2B or product-led companies

  • Experience with startup-style execution: fast-paced, creative, and analytical

  • Proven track record leading brand and acquisition efforts with real impact

  • Fluent in performance marketing, content strategy, and email funnels

  • Strong grasp of unit economics, campaign budgeting, and optimization

  • Confident working with AI and automation tools to enhance content and workflows

  • Strong project management and team coordination skills

  • Excellent written communication in English (C1+)

What success looks like

  • Clear, repeatable marketing systems are in place — from lead gen to reporting

  • Our brand voice and visibility are sharper, bolder, and more consistent

  • Website traffic, lead volume, and engagement show consistent growth

  • AI tools are effectively integrated into our marketing workflows

  • Teams across the company feel supported by a clear, proactive marketing function

  • The Agile Monkeys is known not just for our work, but for how we tell our story

Location

Fully remote — ideally within GMT -7 to GMT +2 time zones. Our leadership team moves between Madrid, Canary Islands, New York, and San Francisco.
