We are seeking a User Experience Designer to help design and improve digital experiences for Ford vehicle owners. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Content, Analytics, and Design partners to understand customer needs and turn them into clear, accessible experiences.

You’ll contribute throughout the design process—from exploring customer problems and developing concepts to prototyping, validation, delivery, and post-launch improvement. This role is a chance to take ownership of well-scoped design work, collaborate across disciplines, and continue developing your craft.

You’ll also use AI-enabled tools thoughtfully to support ideation, design exploration, and prototyping. You’ll be responsible for reviewing AI-assisted work for accuracy, accessibility, originality, brand fit, and customer usefulness, and for following guidance on approved tools and confidential information.

User Experience Design & Delivery

  • Design and refine Ford.com experiences that help Owners find vehicle information, understand features, access services, and stay connected with Ford.
  • Translate customer problems and product requirements into user journeys, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished interface designs.
  • Explore design options, communicate trade-offs, and incorporate feedback from customers and cross-functional partners.
  • Create prototypes at the appropriate level of fidelity to test assumptions, gather feedback, and support design decisions.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to balance customer value, business goals, accessibility, and technical feasibility.
  • Use Ford’s design system and contribute to consistent, reusable patterns across Ford.com.
  • Support design delivery and collaborate with engineering partners to clarify design intent and implementation details.

Customer Research, Validation & Continuous Improvement

  • Help identify customer needs and experience opportunities using research, customer feedback, analytics, and cross-functional input.
  • Support usability testing and other evaluative activities, applying findings before and after launch.
  • Use customer feedback and performance data to assess how experiences are working and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Iterate on designs as new information, feedback, or requirements emerge.
  • Stay curious about evolving design practices and share useful learnings with the team.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Communicate design rationale through presentations, prototypes, and clear documentation.
  • Participate in design critiques, workshops, and planning with a collaborative, open-to-feedback mindset.
  • Build productive working relationships with Product, Engineering, Research, Content, Analytics, and Design partners.
  • Explain design concepts and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

AI-Assisted Design

  • Use approved AI-enabled tools to support design work, such as exploring concepts, organizing early ideas, developing prototype content, or streamlining repetitive tasks.
  • Review AI-assisted outputs for accuracy, accessibility, originality, brand fit, and customer usefulness.
  • Follow applicable guidance for approved tools and the handling of confidential information.

We recognize that no one person will embody every quality or skill listed below. If you’re excited about making Ford ownership more helpful and connected, and enjoy learning through collaboration and iteration, we encourage you to apply.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX, interaction design, product design, human-computer interaction, visual design, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

  • Approximately 2–4 years of experience in UX, product, interaction, or digital design, including relevant internships or project work.
  • A portfolio demonstrating your design process and contributions to digital experiences, including how you framed problems, explored options, used feedback, and developed solutions.
  • Experience using a design and prototyping tool such as Figma.
  • Working knowledge of interaction design, visual design, information architecture, usability, and accessibility.
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and collaborate effectively across disciplines.
  • An iterative approach to feedback, learning, and changing requirements.

Required Design Experience

  • Ability to translate customer needs and product requirements into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interface designs.
  • Familiarity with usability and accessibility principles.
  • Ability to explain design decisions and incorporate feedback from customers and partners.
  • Ability to collaborate with Product and Engineering on design feasibility and delivery.
  • A portfolio that clearly describes your role and contributions to design work.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience designing responsive websites or e-commerce experiences.
  • Experience working with a design system or component library.
  • Familiarity with customer research, usability testing, web analytics, or experimentation.
  • Experience working on an Agile or cross-functional product team.
  • Interest in automotive, vehicle ownership, digital services, or helping customers navigate complex information.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted design tools, with the judgment to validate outputs and recognize when human review is essential.
  • Familiarity with front-end concepts that support collaboration with engineers and understanding implementation trade-offs.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

What We Need

Corpay is looking for a UX Designer to join our Corporate Payments division. In this role, the UX Designer will shape the next generation of digital experiences for our Payables business. You’ll work across a diverse product ecosystem that includes complex web applications, operational and administrative tools, and intuitive end-user experiences. One day, you may be simplifying a high-volume workflow for finance teams; the next, you may be designing tools for administrators or creating a seamless experience for an individual user completing a payment-related task.

This is a hands-on role for a designer who enjoys turning complexity into clarity—and who thrives when ideas move quickly from sketch to prototype to shipped experience. You’ll work in tight feedback loops with Product, Research, Engineering, and fellow designers to frame problems, explore possibilities, test assumptions, and continuously improve what we put in front of customers.

We care deeply about craft, but we don’t confuse perfection with progress. The strongest candidate will know how to choose the right level of fidelity, move decisively with incomplete information, and maintain a high bar for quality while keeping momentum. We’re also looking for a designer who sees AI as an advantage. Not as a replacement for judgment, empathy, or creativity—and not as a shortcut—but as a powerful way to expand exploration, automate repetitive work, accelerate prototyping, challenge assumptions, and produce better work faster. You will collaborate closely with Product, Research, Design, and Engineering partners and report directly into the VP of Product.

How We Work As a UX Designer you will be expected to work in a virtual environment.

Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

  • Company-issued equipment
  • Formal, hands-on training

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Designing end-to-end interfaces, interactions, and workflows across Corpay’s Payables product ecosystem.
  • Creating experiences for sophisticated web applications, internal and customer-facing administrative tools, and end-user consumer applications.
  • Simplifying complex financial and operational workflows without losing the depth, control, or flexibility users need.
  • Translating user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into experiences that are clear, useful, and ready to move forward.
  • Producing low-fidelity concepts early and often to help Product teams explore opportunities, clarify scope, and make faster decisions.
  • Creating prototypes at the appropriate level of fidelity for stakeholder alignment, usability research, and development handoff.
  • Partnering with UX Researchers to understand user behaviors, identify unmet needs, test concepts, and turn findings into meaningful product improvements.
  • Working directly with Product Managers and Engineers throughout the development process—not simply at the beginning and end.
  • Using AI-enabled tools thoughtfully and responsibly to accelerate activities such as ideation, workflow exploration, prototyping, research synthesis, content development, and documentation.
  • Protecting customer and company information by using AI tools in accordance with Corpay’s privacy, security, and data-handling standards.
  • Maintaining a prioritized backlog of incremental design improvements and helping the team continuously raise the quality of the Payables experience.
  • Contributing to and evolving Corpay’s UX Design System, including patterns, components, documentation, and standards.
  • Collaborating with developers to keep coded component libraries aligned with the Design System.
  • Designing responsive experiences that work effectively across devices and adapting to the needs of different user types.
  • Balancing speed with usability, accessibility, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Communicating design rationale clearly, inviting critique, and adapting quickly when new evidence points toward a better solution.
  • Taking on additional high-impact design challenges as the product and business evolve.

Qualifications & Skills

  • At least 4+ years of professional experience in UX, product, or interaction design.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong interaction design, clear problem-solving, thoughtful iteration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience designing complex web applications, administrative platforms, workflow tools, or consumer-facing digital products.
  • Experience working with agile product and development teams.
  • The ability to move comfortably between rough concepts, detailed interface design, interactive prototypes, and implementation support.
  • Strong proficiency with Figma or comparable modern design and prototyping tools.
  • Curiosity about AI and hands-on experience using AI-enabled tools to improve the quality or speed of your design process.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to determine when a design needs deeper exploration—and when it is ready to move forward.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity, creating clarity, and making progress without waiting for perfect requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in a remote environment.
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently while actively seeking input, sharing work early, and contributing to a highly collaborative team.
  • A genuine commitment to understanding users and advocating for their needs.

Helpful, but Not Required

  • A degree or certification in Human-Computer Interaction, interaction design, UX design, or a related field.
  • Experience designing financial products, payment platforms, accounts payable software, enterprise tools, or other transaction-based products.
  • Experience designing for multiple audiences, such as finance professionals, administrators, operations teams, and individual end users.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system.
  • Experience working successfully on a distributed or remote team.

You’ll Thrive Here If You You like to make ideas tangible. You share work before it feels perfect, learn from feedback, and improve it quickly. You can untangle a complicated workflow, understand the needs of multiple user types, and create an experience that feels focused and intuitive. You can defend a design decision without becoming attached to it. You know that speed and quality are not opposites when a team has strong judgment, clear priorities, and short feedback loops. Most importantly, you are excited about how the designer’s role is evolving. You bring the empathy, taste, curiosity, and critical thinking that technology cannot replace—and you actively use new technology to increase what you are capable of producing.

Benefits & Perks

  • Medical, Dental & Vision benefits available the 1st month after hire
  • Automatic enrollment into our 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Virtual fitness classes offered company-wide
  • Robust PTO offerings including major holidays, vacation, sick, personal, and volunteer time
  • Employee discounts with major providers (wireless, gym, car rental, and more)
  • Philanthropic support with local and national organizations
  • Fun culture with company-wide contests and prizes

Pay Transparency The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 – $120,000, based on the candidate’s work location. This range reflects a good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final offer will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable market conditions. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and will be confirmed during the hiring process. Additional compensation and benefits, including incentive programs, health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits (where applicable), may also be provided.
