Technical Project Manager
Cyera
Description
WHO WE ARE
Come join the company at the center of how the world adopts AI securely. Cyera’s mission is to give enterprises the confidence to embrace AI safely — deciding exactly what it can see and do as it reaches deeper into the business. We started by solving the hardest problem in data security: finding and securing data faster and more precisely than anyone thought possible. That foundation is now the essential AI trust infrastructure for the Fortune 1000. We’re hiring mission-driven talent to put those leaders at the center of our story.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Cyera is seeking a technical, self-directed Technical Project Manager to run security programs and projects in the Office of the CISO and to build the project management function for the team.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Security, IT, Engineering, and our Tel Aviv team to drive initiatives forward and ensure key stakeholders remain aligned. While hands-on engineering is not required, you need sufficient technical grounding to actively participate in technical discussions, ask critical questions, and help structure strategic plans.
As the organization's dedicated project manager, you will be instrumental in establishing our operational rhythm, creating standardized workflows, and defining how projects are managed moving forward.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program & Project Delivery
- Lead security programs and initiatives throughout their entire lifecycle, taking ownership from initial scoping to final launch and closure.
- Develop and maintain detailed project roadmaps that clearly identify milestones, task owners, and critical dependencies.
- Proactively monitor risks, issues, and key decisions, escalating concerns early alongside actionable mitigation strategies.
- Push execution across the finish line by probing deeply and asking critical technical questions rather than simply passing along updates.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with Security, IT, Engineering, GRC, Procurement and Legal to align priorities and unblock work.
- Coordinate across the US and Tel Aviv teams, including vendor and partner workstreams.
- Translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders so everyone shares the same understanding.
Executive Reporting & Communication
- Give the CISO and leadership a clear, current view of status, risks and decisions needed.
- Prepare concise updates, dashboards and briefings for leadership and stakeholders.
- Read and understand technical documents and design material, and summarize them accurately.
Building the PM Function
- Define the intake, prioritization and tracking approach for security work.
- Establish a consistent planning and reporting cadence across the team.
- Create lightweight templates and standards that other teams adopt.
- Help shape how the project management function grows over time.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience managing technical programs or projects, ideally in a fast-moving, cloud-based company.
- Background in cybersecurity, software development or cloud infrastructure; a security program background is strongly preferred.
- Enough technical depth to understand security concepts and terminology, form your own opinions and engage in design and deployment conversations.
- Proven ability to run cross-functional projects without direct authority and hold people to commitments.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including executive-level status reporting.
- Self-starter who can build structure and process where little exists.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven track record of managing initiatives across cybersecurity, IT, and engineering.
- Proficiency with agile frameworks and project management tools, including Jira board configuration and Kanban workflow optimization.
- Professional project management certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, or equivalent Agile credentials).
- Proven track record of driving cross-functional initiatives across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
- Adept at leveraging modern AI tools to optimize project planning, progress tracking, and status reporting.
COMPENSATION INFORMATION:
Compensation Range: $100,000 - $120,000.
The range represents total compensation, and may include incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
This compensation range represents Cyera’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting, and Cyera may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. The final salary for this position will be determined in Cyera’s sole discretion, consistent with applicable law, and based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the employee’s work experience, skills, and qualifications for the role, as well as the needs of Cyera’s business and other operational considerations.
Final compensation will vary based on seniority and relevance of experience, location, and position requirements.
This role may be eligible for potential merit increases based on factors such as individual or company performance, time in role, and other discretionary factors. In addition to a standard benefits and equity package, we offer a generous salary. Final compensation will vary based on seniority and relevance of experience, location, and position requirements.
This role may be eligible for potential merit increases based on factors such as individual or company performance, time in role, and other discretionary factors.
BENEFITS - Why Cyera?
- Ability to work remotely, with office setup reimbursement
- Unlimited PTO
- Paid holidays and sick time
- Health, vision, and dental insurance
