Job Description:
The Senior Technical Project Manager – Enterprise Technology & Systems Delivery is a project delivery leader within the PMO organization responsible for managing technology programs and enterprise transformation initiatives across multiple workstreams. This role drives delivery from initiation through go-live and stabilization, ensuring tight schedule management, strong cross-functional coordination, proactive risk and issue escalation, and disciplined governance throughout the project lifecycle.
The role requires someone who can understand technical concepts, dependencies, and delivery risks well enough to coordinate effectively across engineering, infrastructure, integration, data, and testing teams, but who is not expected to serve as the hands-on technical lead or provide technical solution ownership. Success is defined by on-time execution, stakeholder alignment, effective governance, and sustainable adoption of technology-enabled change.
What you'll do:
- Lead end-to-end project management for technology implementations, platform migrations, system integrations, and transformation initiatives from charter through go-live and hypercare.
- Manage multiple concurrent workstreams, integrating business, engineering, infrastructure, data, testing, and change activities into a single executable project plan.
- Build and maintain detailed schedules, milestone plans, RAID logs, dependency trackers, RACI matrices, and status reporting.
- Coordinate closely with business stakeholders, IT and engineering teams, systems integrators, and vendor partners to ensure alignment on scope, timing, deliverables, and decisions.
- Facilitate planning, requirements, design, and workstream checkpoint sessions with technical leads and business process owners.
- Support governance routines, including workstream meetings, status reviews, and escalation paths; help prepare materials for steering committees and leadership updates.
- Identify, track, and escalate risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies through the project governance structure with urgency and clarity.
- Ensure the project schedule is actively managed and tightly driven, including follow-up on overdue actions, management of critical path items, and resolution of cross-workstream blockers.
- Coordinate technical and non-technical delivery activities across integrations, infrastructure, data migration, testing, cutover, and deployment, without acting as the technical authority for solution design.
- Support budget tracking, forecast updates, and variance reporting where applicable.
- Lead preparation for SIT, UAT, cutover, and go-live readiness activities in partnership with the appropriate SMEs and delivery leads.
- Support organizational change management, communications, training coordination, and adoption planning with business and OCM partners.
- Track vendor and systems integrator delivery performance against plans and milestones.
- Prepare clear status updates, decision summaries, and risk reports for project leadership.
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of project management experience, including 2+ years leading technology implementation or integration projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing technical programs (e.g., software platform implementations, infrastructure or cloud migrations, system integrations, or enterprise application rollouts).
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining a tightly controlled integrated schedule and clear accountability across teams.
- Solid understanding of technology delivery lifecycles, including planning, design, build, test, data migration, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
- Ability to understand technical concepts, integration dependencies, environment readiness, data migration risks, and testing implications sufficiently to coordinate teams and drive delivery, without being the primary technical resource.
- Strong command of project management fundamentals including scope management, schedule management, RAID management, dependency tracking, status reporting, and governance.
- Experience working with stakeholders across business, IT, and vendor organizations.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills, with the ability to drive action and elevate issues clearly and promptly.
- CAPM, PMP, or equivalent certification is a plus.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience within a PMO or technology delivery team supporting cross-functional programs.
- Experience managing technical workstreams across domains such as cloud infrastructure, data & analytics, DevOps/engineering, cybersecurity, or digital/customer platforms.
- Background in technology transformation, including migration from legacy platforms and coordination of business process change.
- Exposure to enterprise governance practices, such as steering committee reporting and structured escalation management.
- Familiarity with organizational change management frameworks and enterprise adoption planning.
- Prior experience as a business analyst, technical lead, or systems power user is helpful, particularly where that experience improves communication with technical and business teams.
