About Blox Space

Blox Space works at the heart of the Bitcoin economy, partnering with a network of more than 70 companies across fintech, cybersecurity and Freedom Technologies worldwide, all building the infrastructure, products and services behind the digital economy, data protection and the future of money.
We help connect talent with the Bitcoin ecosystem, acting as a Talent Bridge between ambitious professionals and the companies shaping it. Right now we're working with one of our partner companies hire a Solutions Architect, and if you think you're the right profile, we'd love to meet you.

The Role

The company is one of the foundational names in Bitcoin infrastructure, founded in 2014 and today a market leader in Bitcoin security and Layer-2 technologies, serving financial institutions with custody, tokenization and treasury products. This is a senior architect role inside the in-house development team, building an own product from scratch: a middle layer where different systems talk to each other, with heavy integration of external systems and APIs at its core. You design the architecture, holding both the latest architectural principles and the hard realities of financial-industry integration.
We're not looking for the perfect CV, we're looking for the right mind, and this is a genuinely hard profile to find: it takes real finance experience, because you don't improvise this kind of system.
The responsibilities of a Solutions Architect here can range from designing the architecture of a new middleware product end to end, to integrating diverse systems and APIs into one coherent layer, to choosing architectural patterns and the right modern tech, to ensuring the platform is scalable and robust enough for financial-grade use, working closely with the in-house engineering team.

The skills that make the difference

  • Senior solutions or software architect who has built from scratch: you've owned architecture end to end, not just contributed to it.
  • Deep systems integration: wiring disparate systems and APIs into a coherent middle layer is your bread and butter.
  • Financial-industry experience is close to non-negotiable: this domain doesn't forgive improvisation, however strong the architect.
  • Fluent in modern architectural principles and the latest tech in the space.

Not ticking every box above? Apply anyway: we're hunting for game-changers, not boxes to tick!

Working arrangements

This role is based in Switzerland and can sit in Zurich or Lugano. Candidates should already be based in Switzerland or hold a European visa.Working arrangements are flexible and defined together with the reference team.

Join the Bitcoin ecosystem with Blox Space!

If you want to architect the core platform that brings institutions onto Bitcoin, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for: working with one of our partner companies means joining a team that's innovative and growing fast, at the center of an ecosystem where ideas, skills and high-intensity technical projects circulate every day. It's a place where things get built, tested, discussed and improved, every single day.

Overview: Shaping the Supply Chain E-commerce Ecosystem

The Solution Architect is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining the complete, end-to-end technical architecture for our integrated supply chain e-commerce platform. You will translate complex business requirements across Manufacturing (MES), Warehouse (WMS), and Order Management (OMS) into secure, scalable, and compliant technical blueprints. Your designs will ensure seamless integration between all core systems and our next-generation AI agent infrastructure.

Internship Details

Duration: 3 months

Start Date: Immediate

Location: Remote

Stipend: None initially. Based on your first-quarter performance, you may be offered a paid full-time opportunity, or even be absorbed directly by the client as an FTE.

Key Responsibilities & Core Projects

You will design the technical vision for our critical business flow: MES → WMS → OMS → Payments → Invoices.

  • Architecture & Design: Define the architecture (modular monolith/microservices) and API contracts for core modules (OMS, WMS, MES) built on Node.js 22/NestJS using TypeScript.

  • Multi-Tenancy & Security: Define the strategy for tenant isolation using PostgreSQL 15 with Row-Level Security (RLS) and architect the JWT-based licensing and feature metering system.

  • Infrastructure (IaC): Blueprint the deployment standards using Terraform and Docker with orchestration handled by Traefik on Oracle Cloud Free VMs.

  • Compliance & Observability: Ensure adherence to compliance (HS codes, export controls) and design the monitoring and tracing strategy using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.

  • Technical Leadership: Lead architectural reviews and mentor engineering teams on domain modeling, performance, and best practices.

Required Technologies & Tools

Candidates must demonstrate expertise in system design and hands-on integration across this stack:

  • Backend/Core: Node.js 22, NestJS (Modular Monolith), TypeScript

  • Frontend Patterns: Next.js 14, React 18

  • Data/Storage: PostgreSQL 15 (RLS), Redis, Meilisearch, MinIO

  • DevOps/Infra: Terraform, Docker, Traefik, pgBackRest

  • Security/Auth: Authentik/Ory Kratos, Vault

AI Agent Focus

You will architect the platform for integrating advanced AI capabilities into our operational systems.

  • Agent Infrastructure: Design the systems for hosting and orchestrating multi-agent systems that securely access data from MES, WMS, and OMS.

  • Framework Integration: Define best practices for production AI agents utilizing frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen.

Success Metrics & Career Path

Performance will be measured by:

  • Architectural Soundness: Delivery of scalable, secure, and well-documented technical blueprints.

  • System Resilience: Achieving defined SLOs for the core business process flow.

  • Compliance: Full and verifiable implementation of security and compliance controls (RLS, Vault).

Mentorship Structure: Reports directly to the Head of Technology/CTO, leading the architectural review board and mentoring senior engineering leads.
