Volantio
About Volantio
Volantio partners with airlines worldwide to unlock hidden revenue and create better travel experiences through our post-booking optimization platform. We're a small but mighty engineering-driven company, trusted by carriers like Alaska, Air Canada, Qantas, Southwest, and more.
Our platform, Vector, is an AI-enabled post-booking optimization system built on a layered architecture: predictive models that identify opportunity, a deterministic rules engine that guarantees safe execution, and AI-assisted configuration that lets airline teams author and adapt optimization agents without code. Vector sits on top of proven modules that airlines have run in production for years.
We integrate deeply with the systems airlines actually run: exclusive PSS partnerships with Amadeus, Sabre, and Navitaire; cloud-native infrastructure on AWS; and a security posture backed by SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 certifications.
The Role
We're looking for a Solutions Architect to own the technical dimension of how Volantio wins, lands, and grows airline deployments. You'll take full responsibility for the technical side of deal progression - from qualification through closure to expansion - as the technical authority in the room during evaluations, RFPs, and contract discussions, and the person who designs how Vector actually integrates into each airline's environment before deployment work begins.
This is a role for someone who can hold two things at once: the credibility to say "yes, and here's exactly how" when our platform fits, and the discipline to say "no, and here's why" when a request would stretch us past what we can deliver reliably. Airlines are demanding, technically heterogeneous customers. You'll be the reason our commitments are precise.
This is a hands-on role, not a slideware role. You'll bridge the gap between compelling AI demos and production-grade commitments - building the demo environments, agent templates, and reference architectures that make our technical story repeatable, and grounding every claim in what the platform verifiably does.
You'll sit within engineering and work daily with commercial and customer success - owning the handoff from "deal" to "deployment design" so that what sales promises and what engineering builds are always the same thing.
What You'll Do
Win - technical ownership of deal progression
Take full responsibility for the technical aspects of every active deal, from qualification to closure: discovery, capability mapping, demos, proofs of concept, objection handling, and technical validation.
Own technical responses to airline RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires - mapping requirements to real platform capability with precision, and clearly flagging gaps rather than papering over them.
Anchor security and compliance responses to our certifications (SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001) and real controls, working with engineering to close genuine gaps when a customer requirement exposes one.
Maintain the technical record on every opportunity in our CRM - use case, success criteria, technical close status, open risks - so the pipeline reflects deal reality, not optimism.
Land - deployment architecture and precise commitments
Design deployment and integration architectures for new airline customers: PSS integration paths (Amadeus, Sabre, Navitaire), data feeds, DNS and domain configurations, identity, and network patterns that fit each carrier's IT constraints.
Serve as the technical counterpart to airline IT, security, and architecture teams - negotiating workable patterns when a customer's standard approach and ours don't align.
Author the technical schedules of SOWs and review contracts for capability gaps and non-functional commitments (SLAs, RPO/RTO, throughput ceilings) before signature. No schedule ships blank, and no NFR ships unexamined.
Own technical scoping authority for customer commitments: no technical work is promised to a customer without your review. You are the control point between commercial enthusiasm and engineering reality.
Grow - adoption, expansion, and reusable assets
Build technical champions inside customer accounts and own the technical path up the adoption ladder - from a first use case deployment to full Vector adoption - grounded in honest ceiling analysis, not storytelling. We set expectations we can beat.
Build and maintain the assets that make our technical story repeatable: demo environments, Vector agent templates, reference architectures, and workshop materials the whole commercial team can run with.
Codify repeating patterns: when three airlines raise the same objection, you turn the negotiated resolution into a reusable reference architecture instead of solving it a fourth time.
Serve as the structured voice of the customer into product and engineering - feeding field requirements, competitive intelligence, and gap analysis into the roadmap with evidence attached.
What We're Looking For
6-10 years in software engineering, solutions architecture, sales engineering, or technical consulting - with real engineering depth. You can read an API spec, debug an integration, and build a working demo yourself.
Experience designing or deploying integrations with large enterprise IT environments: APIs, data pipelines, DNS/networking, SSO/identity, cloud architecture (AWS preferred).
Full pre-sales lifecycle experience: use case discovery, solution scoping, and delivering architecture designs to audiences ranging from airline engineers to C-level executives - context-switching in technical depth as the room requires.
Fluency in the language of enterprise procurement: RFPs, SOWs, security questionnaires, NFRs, and the ability to read a contract schedule and find the commitment that will hurt.
Demonstrated ability to defend a capability boundary with evidence - you can tell a customer "no" in a way that preserves the relationship because your reasoning is verifiable.
Strong written communication: your RFP responses, architecture docs, and SOW schedules will be read by airline CIOs and our own leadership. Precision matters.
Comfort operating between commercial and engineering without being captured by either - pragmatic, direct, and allergic to hand-waving.
Disciplined about process hygiene: you keep the technical record current because you know decisions get made from it.
Ability to work across time zones with airline customers in North America, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe.
Bonus Points
Airline or travel technology background, especially PSS-adjacent (Amadeus, Sabre, Navitaire) or revenue management systems.
Experience with security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2) from the vendor side.
Experience productionizing or evaluating ML/AI systems - and the judgment to explain what AI-enabled software can and cannot promise. You know the difference between an impressive demo and a production commitment.
Prior work in a forward-deployed, sales engineering, or field CTO capacity at an enterprise SaaS company.
Why Volantio
Be the technical authority in deals with some of the world's largest airlines - your judgment directly shapes what we commit to and what we build.
Work on a genuinely differentiated platform: AI-enabled optimization with deterministic guarantees, deployed in production at global carriers.
Small team, direct access to leadership, no layers between your recommendation and the decision.
Define a function, not fill a seat: you'll build the reference architectures, scoping discipline, and pre-sales machinery that scale with the company.

Venn
About Venn
Venn is the leader in workspace security for remote and contractor workforces. Built on Venn's patented technology, Blue Border™ protects company data, applications, and AI workflows on any computer, without VDI and without fully managing the endpoint. Installing Blue Border creates a company-controlled secure enclave directly on the user's Mac or PC. All business activity, including data, applications, networking, and AI workflows, runs locally and stays isolated from personal use, while everything outside the enclave remains private.
Blue Border gives IT a simpler, device-agnostic way to secure remote work, enable contractor and BYOD workforces, govern AI usage, and replace VDI. More than 700 security and compliance-driven organizations, including Fidelity, Guardian, Whatnot, and the IMF, trust Venn to meet HIPAA, FINRA, SEC, NAIC, SOC 2, PCI, and GDPR standards.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Sales Engineer/Solutions Architect, you are the technical owner of our most complex enterprise deals. You will lead the technical sale from first discovery call through architecture review, security sign-off, proof-of-concept and close, working side by side with Account Executives on strategic accounts.
Our buyers are CISOs, CIOs, IT architects and security and compliance leaders at large, regulated organizations. They are replacing or reducing VDI, locking down contractor and BYOD access, and answering to auditors. You will earn their trust by designing a solution that fits their identity, endpoint, network and compliance stack, and by proving it works in their environment.
This is a senior individual-contributor role with real influence. You will shape how we run technical evaluations, set the standard for demos and POCs, and bring field insight to Product that changes the roadmap. You are part engineer, part consultant and part storyteller, and you are comfortable being the most technical person in a room of executives.
What You'll Do
- Lead enterprise technical discovery. Partner with Account Executives to map each customer's identity, endpoint, VDI, network and data-protection environment, and the business and compliance drivers behind the project.
- Architect solutions for complex environments. Design deployments that integrate with Microsoft 365/Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, Google Workspace, existing VDI, VPN and ZTNA, and endpoint and DLP tooling, and document the reference architecture for the customer's review.
- Own proofs-of-concept and technical evaluations. Define success criteria with the customer up front, run the POC end to end, and turn the results into a clear business case.
- Run security reviews. Lead security questionnaires, RFP and RFI technical responses, architecture reviews and compliance mapping with customer security, risk and legal teams.
- Present at every level. Deliver deep technical sessions for engineers and architects, and concise value-led narratives for CISOs, CIOs and other executive sponsors.
- Build the technical business case. Quantify value against incumbent approaches such as VDI, VPN and managed devices (cost, user experience, risk reduction) alongside the Account Executive.
- Handle competition. Stay current on the competitive landscape and industry trends, and position Venn against VDI, DaaS, VPN, browser isolation and MDM-based approaches in secure BYOD enablement.
- Raise the bar for the team. Build demo environments, POC playbooks, battlecards and reusable solution content, and mentor junior Sales Engineers.
- Close the loop with Product. Bring structured customer and competitive feedback to Product and Engineering so it informs the roadmap, and make sure customers feel supported from evaluation through handoff to Customer Success.
- Represent Venn externally. Speak as a subject matter expert at webinars, conferences and industry events to build awareness and thought leadership.
What You Bring
- 10+ years in a technical pre-sales role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect or similar) at a SaaS or security company, with at least 5 years selling to large enterprise and regulated customers.
- A track record of leading the technical side of six- and seven-figure deals with multiple stakeholders, long cycles and formal security review.
- Experience running structured POCs with defined success criteria that convert to closed-won.
- Strong expertise in end-user computing, Windows environments and virtual desktop infrastructure (Citrix, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365 or similar), including the limits that drive customers to look for alternatives.
- Hands-on experience with identity and access: Microsoft Entra ID/Microsoft 365, Okta and Google Workspace, including SSO, SAML/OIDC, conditional access and MFA.
- Solid grounding in networking and secure access: VPN, ZTNA, proxies, DNS and firewalls, and secure browsing.
- Working knowledge of endpoint security (EDR/XDR, MDM/UEM), DLP and data-protection controls, and how they behave on unmanaged and contractor devices.
- Fluency in compliance and regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, SEC, FINRA and SOC 2, and in how to map product controls to audit requirements.
- Comfort scripting and working with APIs (PowerShell, Python or similar) to build demos, automate POCs and troubleshoot in customer environments.
- Credibility with technical and executive audiences alike: you can whiteboard an architecture with an engineer in the morning and defend the business case to a CISO in the afternoon.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to turn technical depth into clear, customer-focused value.
- A consultative approach to discovery: you uncover the real problem, not just the stated requirements.
- Strong ownership and judgment: you prioritize across several deals, know when to bring in Product or Engineering, and make Account Executives better.
- Comfortable traveling to customer sites and events (adjust percentage to your needs).
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience at a growth-stage company, where you helped build the pre-sales function, playbooks or POC process.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, Microsoft (SC-300, AZ-500, MD-102), Okta, or Citrix/VMware credentials.
- Prior experience selling into financial services, healthcare or other regulated industries.
Why You'll Love Working Here
We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support our team's health, well-being, and work-life balance, including:
- Competitive compensation and commission opportunities
- Equity at Venn
- Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance
- Healthcare FSA, HSA, and commuter benefits
- Unlimited paid time off, paid sick time, NYSE company holidays, and a paid birthday off
- The opportunity to be part of a fast-growing startup with a collaborative, high-impact team where every voice is valued and there are clear paths for growth and promotion
We operate with Trust, Humility, Relationships, Innovation, Vigor, and Empowerment, and we look for teammates who do the same.

Safe Security
Most boards and executives are currently flying blind when it comes to cyber risk. They are guessing. At Safe, we’ve built an AI-driven engine that finally gives the C-Suite a clear, quantified, and real-time view of their security posture. We don’t just provide data; we provide certainty.
We are a $170M Series C-funded category leader. We don’t play in the mid-market; we operate at the highest levels of global enterprise. Today, we are proud to serve 10% of the Fortune 500, protecting global icons such asApple, Netflix, AT&T, Verizon, and Victoria’s Secret.
As we scale toward our next chapter, we are looking for high-performers who want to do the best work of their careers at the intersection of AI and Cybersecurity.
The Culture Memo: Our Operating System
Safe is not a typical corporate environment. We are a high-intensity, mission-driven team. We value builders who want to define a category and work alongside people who are equally committed to excellence.
Extreme Ownership: We don’t do "not my job." We hire people who see a gap and own the solution from start to finish.
The Elite Standard: We serve the most sophisticated companies on the planet. Our work must be bulletproof. Whether it’s a line of code or a sales deck, we aim for Tier-1 quality every time.
Methodology & Rigor: We don’t wing it. From Force Management and MEDDICC in sales to data-driven sprints in engineering, we rely on proven frameworks to stay disciplined and predictable.
Radical Candor: We move too fast for politics or sugar-coating. We value direct, honest feedback that helps us find the right answer quickly.
The Series C Hustle: We have the stability of a well-funded leader but the heart of a startup.
The Perks & Ownership:
We want our team to feel like owners because they are owners. We trust our people to manage their results and their time.
Meaningful Equity: Every "Safestar" is a shareholder. You aren’t just an employee; you are a partner in our success.
Unlimited Leaves: We don’t believe in clock-watching. We offer unlimited leave because we trust you to take the time you need to recharge while staying committed to the mission.
Comprehensive Benefits: We provide top-tier medical insurance and wellness benefits to ensure you and your family are well cared for.
Career Trajectory: We are growing aggressively. For high-performers, the path for advancement moves at the speed of your ambition.
You are the technical lead on CTEM deals, from the first discovery call through a closed proof of value. You work between the customer's vulnerability management team, their CISO, and our account executives.
Your job is to prove, in the customer's own data, that SAFE finds the exposures that matter and gets them fixed faster than what they run today.
You start as the CTEM expert on the team. Over your first year, you learn TPRM and CRQ so you can carry any SAFE deal.
Reports to: VP, Global Pre-Sales
Level: Solution Architect or Senior Solution Architect, set by experience
Location: Remote, North America
What you will do:
Run technical discovery. Map the customer's scanners, asset inventory, ticketing, and remediation workflow, then find where it breaks.
Deliver demos built for the buyer. Show their problem solved in their terms—no feature tours.
Own proofs of value. Write success criteria with the customer, connect their tools, and deliver measurable results on a deadline.
Win the technical argument. Position SAFE against legacy vulnerability management and other exposure management platforms, using facts and the customer's own data.
Speak to both rooms. Explain exploitability and remediation to engineers, then explain the same exposure in business and financial terms to a CISO.
Know your deals. Keep stage, blockers, and next steps current in our CRM and presales systems so the forecast holds.
Make the product better. Bring product what customers ask for, where we win, and where we have gaps.
Build what the team reuses. Demo environments, POV playbooks, and competitive notes.
What you bring:
3+ years hands-on in vulnerability management or exposure management, as a practitioner or as a presales engineer selling it
Working knowledge of the stack: scanners such as Tenable, Qualys, and Rapid7, cloud and application security findings, EDR, CMDB, and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and Jira
Fluency in prioritization: CVSS, EPSS, CISA KEV, asset criticality, exploitability, and compensating controls, plus an opinion on where each falls short
Understanding of the five CTEM phases: scoping, discovery, prioritization, validation, and mobilization
Comfort with APIs and messy data. You can read API docs, troubleshoot an integration, and make sense of a raw export
Clear communication. You can make a point to a CISO in two minutes and defend it with an engineer for twenty
Hunger to learn. You pick up new domains fast, on your own, and you use AI tools every day
Speed and ownership. You are comfortable with change, short timelines, and work that has no playbook yet
Coachability. You want direct feedback, and you act on it
Nice to have:
Experience running POVs or POCs with enterprise accounts
Exposure to cyber risk quantification, FAIR, or third-party risk
Scripting in Python or SQL
Background in penetration testing, red team, threat intelligence, or incident response
Experience presenting to CISOs or executive audiences
Your first 90 days:
By day 30: You know the platform and its integrations. You have shadowed live deals and passed your CTEM demo in front of the SA team.
By day 60: You lead CTEM discovery and demos with your account executives and co-run your first POV.
By day 90: You own CTEM POVs end to end and have started on TPRM.
Why this job:
You shape a category. Exposure management is still being defined. Your deals and your feedback decide how SAFE wins it.
You get range. You start in CTEM and add TPRM and CRQ, which few presales roles in security offer.
You get coached. Practitioners get a structured path into presales. Experienced SEs get more scope and direct access to product and leadership.
You work with agentic AI in production, in front of enterprise security teams, every week.

Solutions Architect, Bay Area
Aerospike is looking for a technically sharp, enterprise-focused Solutions Architect to help drive adoption and shape the technical vision of our blazing-fast, real-time data platform across North America. In this high-impact pre-sales role, you’ll partner closely with account teams and executive stakeholders to lead architecture design, translate complex enterprise requirements into scalable blueprints, and prove clear, compelling value for our prospective customers.
Based in North America, you’ll serve as the principal technical advisor and enterprise architect throughout the sales lifecycle — from high-level discovery and architectural design to proof-of-concept (POC) governance and post-sale deployment strategy. Whether it’s designing fault-tolerant, high-throughput database topologies, addressing complex data modeling challenges, or leading strategic technical discussions, your expertise will be key to helping enterprise clients realize the power of Aerospike.
This is a pre-sales engineering & architecture position.
Responsibilities
- Engineer for advantage: Lead technical discovery and design creative, multi-region architectures that solve demanding data, scale, latency, and resilience requirements.
- Master the data plane: Bring deep expertise in databases, distributed systems, data platforms, and high-throughput workloads—and make complex technology decisions clear to every audience.
- Sell the architecture and the outcome: Connect technical choices to business value, competitive differentiation, ROI, and the customer’s broader data strategy.
- Create conviction through proof: Design and lead rigorous POCs, benchmarks, whiteboarding sessions, demos, and architecture reviews that validate performance, scalability, and business impact.
- Be the technical deal strategist: Partner tightly with Account Executives to shape deal strategy, multi-thread stakeholders, neutralize architectural risk, and advance complex opportunities.
- Unblock with ingenuity: Diagnose hard customer problems, develop practical solutions, and turn technical objections into reasons to buy.
- Turn field insight into leverage: Capture recurring requirements, architectural patterns, and competitive intelligence to influence Product, Engineering, Customer Success, partners, and enablement.
- Close as the trusted technical authority: Lead executive and engineering conversations across North America and help convert technical credibility into regional revenue.
Qualifications
- Command the room: Bring exceptional executive presence, communication, and presentation skills to earn credibility with C-level leaders, principal architects, and developers.
- Architect across the data stack: Demonstrate deep expertise in NoSQL, relational databases, distributed systems, MPP data warehouses, and specialized platforms such as graph, time-series, and AI/ML feature stores.
- Build for real-world scale: Bring hands-on Linux experience and a strong understanding of high-concurrency, high-throughput, mission-critical, and zero-downtime systems.
- Think in distributed systems: Apply practical knowledge of Spark, Hadoop, HBase, HDFS, Hive, Impala, and adjacent data-processing ecosystems to solve complex customer problems.
- Win technical evaluations: Guide enterprise prospects through demanding architecture reviews, competitive bake-offs, POCs, and time-sensitive decisions with structure, urgency, and sound judgment.
- Solve what others cannot: Use exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and architectural problem-solving skills to isolate root causes and design elegant, executable solutions.
- Operate as a strategic self-starter: Manage complex evaluations, competing stakeholders, and shifting priorities with minimal oversight while keeping the commercial objective in view.
- Translate the field into product leverage: Capture customer requirements and convert them into precise, actionable feedback for Product Management, Engineering, and R&D.
- Advocate where developers learn: Represent Aerospike through architecture workshops, developer meetups, hackathons, technical content, and industry events.
- Code with credibility: Bring software engineering experience and strong coding ability in at least one core language, including Java, C/C++, Python, or Go.
Preferred Qualifications
- Know distributed databases in production: Bring deep operational or architectural expertise with Aerospike or comparable platforms such as CockroachDB, Yugabyte, MongoDB, Cassandra, or Couchbase.
- Architect across the cloud frontier: Hold advanced AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications—or demonstrate equivalent hands-on expertise designing secure, scalable, production-grade cloud environments.
- Build cloud-native systems: Show strong command of microservices, containers, Docker, Kubernetes, and the operational patterns required to run distributed applications at scale.
- Understand performance below the application layer: Diagnose the impact of networking protocols, CPU architecture, NVMe and SSD behavior, memory hierarchy, and other hardware dynamics on system performance.
- Bring pre-sales pattern recognition: Have experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Principal Consultant in a high-growth technology company, with a track record of influencing complex enterprise decisions.
- Be field-ready: Willing and able to travel up to 30% across North America to support customers, prospects, partners, and technical events.
Salary Range: $220,000 – $280,000
(Actual compensation will be based on experience, location, and other relevant factors.)
