Software Engineer II - Collaborative Web Platform
Pantheon
About Pantheon
Pantheon brings together exceptional builders who take ownership, drive meaningful impact, and shape what's next for the web. We power more than 300,000 websites globally for organizations including Google, Princeton, Salesloft, Clorox, and the United Nations. Every day, thousands of developers and marketers use our WebOps platform to build, iterate, and scale WordPress, Drupal, and Next.js sites that reach billions of people worldwide. As an employer, we operate with the same philosophy that drives our product: foundation and freedom. Pantheon is a vibrant, remote-forward team of experts who care deeply about their craft and results. Here, you take ownership of work that matters, contribute alongside exceptional people, and see the impact you create.
The Opportunity
Pantheon is building the next generation of web content infrastructure — a real-time, collaborative platform that redefines how teams create, publish, and manage content on the modern web. Content management has been largely unchanged for two decades. We are changing that.
As a Software Engineer II on this team, you will be an early engineer on a founding-stage product with real momentum behind it. You will build features end-to-end, contribute to architectural decisions, and work alongside a small, senior team that moves fast and cares deeply about craft. This is not a role where you wait for tickets — it is a role where you help define what gets built and how.
The Role
You will work across the full stack — backend services, APIs, and frontend systems — building the core capabilities of a real-time collaborative content platform. You will work closely with a small team of engineers, as well as product and design partners, to ship features that developers and content teams rely on every day.
This team is early-stage by design. The product is being defined as it is built, and every engineer on the team has a meaningful voice in that process. If you are energized by that kind of environment, this is the right place.
What You Need to Succeed
- Build and ship full-stack features across backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code with shared ownership of quality
- Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions as an active participant, not just an implementer
- Collaborate closely with product and design to translate requirements into working, well-crafted software
- Integrate AI tooling into your development workflow and into the product itself
- Participate in code review and help maintain a high engineering bar across the team
- Learn and grow quickly — this is a team that will stretch you in the best possible way
What You Bring to the Table
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Solid full-stack capability — you have shipped production code on both backend and frontend, and you are willing to stretch into whichever side a problem requires
- Experience with modern API design: REST, GraphQL, or webhooks
- Comfortable working in cloud-native environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Strong fundamentals: you write tests, understand tradeoffs, and think about maintainability
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one backend language
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- You are actively building with AI — using it in your development workflow or integrating it into the products you work on.
What We Offer
We have all the usual perks and benefits but what we can really offer you is a fantastic work environment powered by an amazing team.
- Industry competitive compensation and equity plan
- Flexible time off, sick days, and 13 paid holidays
- Comprehensive medical insurance including Health, Dental and Vision
- Paid parental leave (plus fertility, adoption and other family planning benefits)
- In-office workspace (San Francisco & Chicago)
- Monthly allowance for wellness, reading and access to LinkedIn Learning for continued development
- Events and activities both team-based and company wide that inspire, educate and cultivate
Pantheon is an equal opportunity employer and we welcome applications from all backgrounds regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, disability, or any other classification protected by law. Pantheon complies with federal and local disability laws and makes reasonable accommodations for applicants and employees with disabilities. If you need a reasonable accommodation due to a disability for any part of the interview process, please contact . Pursuant to local and federal regulations, Pantheon will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records for employment.
After an offer is made and accepted, E-verify will be utilized to establish your identity and employment eligibility as required by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The US base salary range for this position in the United States is $116,640 - $145,800 USD per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Senior Software Engineer I
Level Data
Job Summary
At Level Data, we build the data infrastructure that K-12 education runs on. For twenty years, our platforms have connected the disparate systems inside schools and state agencies - student information, educator credentials, special programs, instructional spend - into a single reliable picture that leaders can act on. Our software supports more than 1,800 districts and 20 state agencies across 48+ states, touching the educational experience of over 7 million students. Our fully remote team of engineers, data specialists, and former educators build products that reduce administrative burden and turn fragmented education data into evidence for smarter decisions.
The Engineering organization delivers the systems state education agencies depend on to manage their educator workforce and oversee the districts they serve. We build at the state level, where a single deployment carries every educator record, every district submission, and every compliance deadline in the state - which means reliability, auditability, and the security of sensitive personnel and student data are engineering requirements, not afterthoughts. Our platforms are how states respond to educator shortages at scale, keep credentialing current as requirements shift, and maintain visibility into district performance.
This role is on the Talent team, which delivers teacher licensure and credentialing, district and school accreditation, statewide teacher evaluation aligned to state frameworks, and talent transparency through our statewide educator job board. The team owns the workflows that move an educator from application to classroom, and the reporting that gives agencies confidence in the quality and completeness of what's underneath.
The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Software Engineering Manager.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as the technical standard bearer for the team, setting the quality bar through your own contributions and code reviews and holding the team to it as we scale across new state deployments.
- Design, build, and own features end to end across a C#/.NET and SQL Server core, extending into React and Node (TypeScript) with Postgres on our newer products.
- Break down large or ambiguous technical problems into approachable chunks the team can execute against, partnering with your Product Owner to sequence the work against roadmap commitments and state compliance deadlines.
- Develop deep knowledge of the team's technical estate, including the integrations that move educator, district, and evaluation data between state systems, and understand how the pieces fit together.
- Act as a technical resource across the team, unblocking teammates and keeping delivery moving without becoming a bottleneck yourself.
- Collaborate multi-functionally with Product, Customer Success, and go-to-market partners, hearing customer problems firsthand and bringing an engineering perspective to what we should build, not only how we should build it.
- Proactively find opportunities for optimization and efficiency across the systems you own, improving availability, performance, and the day-to-day experience of the agencies who depend on them
- Contribute to estimation and planning, voicing recommendations, feedback, and solutions from a technical perspective and aligning to overall project goals to deliver on time and in scope.
- Participate fully as a member of a self-managing Scrum team, committing to delivery alongside your teammates and sharing in team responsibilities including production support.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Sustained history of owning a complex codebase, ora track recordof moving effectively between codebases, or a strong balance of the two.
- Strong computer science fundamentals-algorithms, data structures, and coding fluency-withdemonstrateddepth in a modern web stack.
- Deep hands-on experience with C# and .NET, including ASP.NET web applications and backend service development.
- Workingproficiencyin JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern front-end framework.
- Strong relational database skills, including schema designand data modeling inSQL Server,Postgres,or comparable systems.
- Working knowledge of a major public cloudprovider;we build in Azure, and AWS or Google Cloud experience translates well.
- Experience delivering at pace in an Agile team environment, including source control, CI/CD, automated testing, and production support.
- Ability to break down any technical problem into discrete steps as part of a credible solution plan, and to guide teammates toward solutions with questions rather than answers.
- A collaborator who believes in communal ownership of the work, shares knowledge freely, and helps others rise to the standard they set
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working across both greenfield and legacy codebases, with comfort modernizing systems incrementally rather than by rewrite.
- Demonstrated history of mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar on a team.
- Experience applying AI/GenAI tooling to increase development and support efficiency.
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain a technical tradeoff to a Product Owner or a customer without flattening it or burying them in it.
- Genuine curiosity about the customer's problem and the business behind it, and a desire to work closely with the people closest to both.

Scope3
About Scope3
Scope3 operates the Interchange for agent-to-agent advertising — the place where brands and their agents discover, negotiate, and transact across every advertising surface that matters: social, CTV, audio, AI interfaces, sponsored intelligence, and those still emerging. Built on AdCP, the open protocol for agentic advertising, with governance, transparent pricing, and full auditability built into every transaction.
Scope3 works with leading advertisers, agencies, publishers, and platforms globally, with teams across North America, Europe, and APAC.
We’re a venture-backed company of 65 fully remote team members and are fortunate to be led by an experienced leadership team, many of whom designed and engineered the digital advertising landscape as we know it today.
About the Role
We’re building the future of programmatic advertising through AI agents. Our technical team is creating the infrastructure that enables AI agents to discover, negotiate, and transact media inventory autonomously.
In this role, you’ll be a technical leader responsible for the APIs, protocols, and agent interfaces that power our agentic advertising platform. You’ll design systems where AI agents are first-class participants, with their own authentication, capabilities, and communication standards.
You’ll work at the intersection of advertising technology, distributed systems, and emerging AI agent frameworks—making architectural decisions that shape how our marketplace evolves.
This is a Fullstack (80/20 backend leaning), hands-on leadership role. You’ll write production code, prototype new agent communication patterns, review system designs, and mentor engineers while setting technical direction.
This isn’t a typical engineering role
- We’re operating in a space without a fixed playbook, so this role is best suited for builders who are comfortable creating structure where none exists.
- Our approach favors rapid experimentation over upfront perfection—we test, learn, and then formalize what works.
- The pace is fast and often pushes beyond what feels comfortable. For the right person, that’s part of the appeal.
- We’re also looking for engineers who are already actively exploring AI—this isn’t a “learn it on the job” environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and architect scalable APIs for both human and AI agent clients
- Lead development of agent interfaces, MCP servers, and A2A communication layers
- Build and operate high-throughput systems for real-time advertising transactions
- Evaluate and integrate emerging agent frameworks and protocols
- Partner with product and design to define clear, agent-friendly API contracts
- Drive architectural decisions around authentication, protocols, and transaction flows
- Collaborate with external DSPs, SSPs, and agent platform partners
- Mentor engineers on API design, distributed systems, and agent architectures
- Anticipate and address edge cases in autonomous agent behavior
Qualifications:
- 8+ years building distributed backend systems at scale
- 4+ years in a technical leadership role
- 4+ years working professionally within the AdTech ecosystem
- Strong expertise in API design and architecture (REST, event-driven systems, auth, versioning)
- Experience with AI agent frameworks and communication protocols, or the ability to rapidly learn and evaluate them
- Proficiency with TypeScript/Node.js, React, and cloud platforms (GCP or AWS)
- Experience designing systems for autonomous or semi-autonomous decision-making
- Track record of mentoring engineers and fostering a collaborative team culture
- Comfort working in fast-moving, evolving environments
Tech Stack:
- API Layer: TypeScript/Node.js, REST and event-driven services
- Agent Interfaces: MCP servers and A2A protocol handlers
- Data: PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Redis
As the agent ecosystem evolves, you’ll help evaluate new technologies and ensure our marketplace remains at the forefront.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $180k-$230k USD / $190k-$245k CAD.
These ranges span multiple location-based salary bands across the US and Canada. Candidates are aligned to a narrower range based on geographic market compensation data specific to where they live, and final offers reflect demonstrated skills, experience, and role expectations.
Benefits & Perks:
Details vary by location (USA/Canada), but all employees receive:
- Health & wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with significant employer contribution; short- and long-term disability coverage; health savings/flexible spending options
- Retirement: Employer-matched retirement savings plan (401(k) or RRSP)
- Time off: Generous paid time off, statutory holidays, and year-end office closure
- Parental leave: 13 weeks fully paid (eligibility requirements apply)
- Remote work: Company-provided home office equipment, setup stipend, and access to WeWork spaces
- Equity: Stock options
A Note To Applicants

There's nothing more exciting than transforming an industry that's been stagnant for decades.
Federato is an AI-native platform that’s bringing agentic AI to the full policy lifecycle. We’re aggressively transforming how insurance work gets done, and the world is paying attention: we've raised $180 million, including a $100 million Series D from Goldman Sachs. We have powerful product-market fit, and we're growing fast globally.
You'll get to work on complex problems with one of the most advanced AI teams you'll find anywhere. If you're the person we need, you know that AI bolted onto legacy systems is too weak to matter. That's why we built our platform to be AI-native from day one. That's why you can do here what you can never do at a legacy software company. move fast and prove it, not theorize it. We think from first principles. You’ll work on problems that matter, building software that fundamentally changes how insurance operates.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead a small team of engineers, providing technical mentorship, code review, and architectural guidance to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to shape roadmap priorities and translate customer needs into scalable solutions.
- Architect and build complex features across the stack using React, TypeScript, Python (Django), Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
- Drive engineering best practices, including robust testing, code quality, and tooling improvements that elevate team productivity.
- Own technical delivery from design through deployment, including performance, reliability, and monitoring considerations.
- Champion engineering excellence by proactively identifying areas of improvement in the codebase, development workflow, and team processes.
- Serve as a thought partner to engineering leadership in scaling systems, reducing complexity, and mentoring others.
- Build deep empathy for our customers and help ensure our products are intuitive, impactful, and reliable.
Who We Hope You Are:
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial full stack development.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams or pods, including mentorship, task planning, and technical decision-making.
- Strong frontend skills with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
- Significant backend experience with Python (Django) and Node.js with TypeScript, including building and scaling APIs and services.
- Familiarity with infrastructure components like Kubernetes (K8s) and containerized deployments.
- Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and tools like Kafka.
- Deep understanding of software design principles, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Track record of making pragmatic technical decisions that balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
- Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional peers in Product and Design.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to advocate for technical solutions across stakeholders.
$210,000 - $260,000 a year
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above. Total compensation package does include stock options, benefits and additional perks. Role may require 15-20% travel.
Here at Federato, your capabilities are important, but culture fit is essential. We move fast, are eager to listen to our users, take a first principles approach to solving problems, and value learning and the ability to change our minds. Most importantly, we're here to have fun. Our ability to make a difference starts with our people. We would love to work with you!
We are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status or disability status. We will provide reasonable accommodation to individuals with disabilities to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment. Samsara
Who we are
Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.
Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.
Recovering entrepreneur? Frustrated with bureaucracy? Want to write the roadmap, not inherit one?
We're hiring across multiple levels and verticals. The nice thing about growing 30%+ at ~$2B ARR is that we need great engineers everywhere, and we have the room to shape the role around the right person. You build like a founder. We give you the platform to do it at scale.
About the role:
Samsara (NYSE: IOT) sits at the center of hardware, software, AI, and the physical world. The platform processes 25+ trillion data points annually from IoT sensors, cameras, and connected devices across thousands of organizations, and that dataset is compounding: it grew from 4 trillion to 25+ trillion in four years. We're still early in turning that data into the products that will define how physical operations run, and we're hiring the engineers who will build what comes next.
We're approaching ~$2B ARR growing 30%+ year over year, with 96% of our largest customers on two or more products. The fastest-growing divisions at Samsara are tackling the hardest, most ambiguous problems at the company: building new products from scratch, applying AI and ML to massive real-world datasets, and shipping capabilities that change how organizations maintain equipment, manage fleets, and run day-to-day operations. Most of this work is zero-to-one, at billion-dollar scale.
We're looking for software engineers who want to define what ships next. Leveling is broad and flexible: we're hiring from Senior through Staff+, across platform and product, and we're open to shaping scope around the right person's strengths and interests. That window won't stay open long.
This role is remote and open to candidates residing in the US. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.
You should apply if:
- You want to impact the industries that run our world. The software you build will have real-world stakes: helping keep the lights on, getting food into grocery stores, keeping workers safe. What ships here isn't metrics on a dashboard. It shows up on the loading dock, the job site, and the dispatch floor.
- You want to build, not maintain. Samsara is in full growth mode. We're building new systems from scratch, not babysitting old ones. You'd own entire problem spaces end to end, with the autonomy to set direction from day one.
- You want to work where AI meets the physical world. Samsara has spent a decade building the largest proprietary dataset for physical operations. More connected assets generate more data, more data trains better models, better models drive more value, and more value wins more assets. The market and the opportunity here are what set us apart, not just the models.
- You believe customers are more than a number. Samsara engineers have a rare closeness to end users. You'll participate in customer interviews, collaborate with product managers and customer success, and use that context to build products that solve real problems operators face every day.
- You have the curiosity and drive to figure it out. We're looking for people who take pride in their work and get things done at all costs. The engineers who thrive here don't wait to be told what to build. They define it, ship it, and own the outcome. The rate-limiting step on our teams isn't tooling or process. It's ambition.
In this role, you will:
- Take ownership of technically complex, mission-critical areas and run with them. We want to point you in a direction and show up to the demo meeting impressed, not spend our weeks managing the details.
- Define and drive technical strategy for new products and platform capabilities, from backend services and APIs to the customer-facing UI.
- Design and ship full-stack features end to end. You'll work across backend, frontend, and potentially mobile to deliver AI-powered products that solve real operational problems.
- Partner with product, design, and customer-facing teams to translate ambiguous, real-world problems into clear technical plans and measurable outcomes.
- Build and scale the systems behind AI-driven products, including data ingestion, APIs, and the workflows that put intelligence into the hands of operators.
- Raise the bar for the engineers around you through code reviews, design reviews, technical mentorship, and by setting a standard for quality, velocity, and craft.
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in software design and development, including building and operating production systems at scale.
- Strong full-stack fundamentals. You're comfortable working across backend services, APIs, and frontend (web or mobile) to ship complete products.
- Proficiency in modern languages and frameworks (Go, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, or similar).
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-team or cross-org projects from inception through rollout, including managing ambiguity, driving alignment, and delivering measurable impact.
- Experience building AI-powered or data-driven products. You don't need to train models, but you know how to take AI capabilities and turn them into products customers love.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A track record of building: zero-to-one products, systems you left in a meaningfully better place, or hard problems you refused to let stay unsolved.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Experience shipping AI-powered features in production, whether that's LLM-based products, agentic workflows, recommendation systems, or other customer-facing AI.
- Comfort with modern AI-augmented development workflows (Cursor, LLMs, etc.) to multiply your output and accelerate delivery.
- Background working with real-world operational data (telematics, sensor data, work orders, inspections) or a strong interest in learning the domain.
- A proven track record of mentoring senior engineers and influencing engineering culture, standards, and best practices beyond a single team.
- Side projects, open-source contributions, or other signals of curiosity and drive outside the scope of your day job.
