Software Engineer (AWS / Python)
Evio
Evio Overview
Evio is a highly unique pharmacy solutions company that was founded by and works closely with health plans to implement transformative (to cost, quality, access and experience) initiatives primarily focused on specialty and other high-cost medication solutions.
In 2020, a group of five amazing Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans that in total serve more than 20 million members recognized that the way medications get to patients needs significant reform—rapidly rising costs and massive system complexities are detrimental to patients and the entire industry. In 2025, Wellmark joined as Evio's first non-founding investor and sixth owner health plan. Each company made, and continues to make, significant investments to establish Evio as an independent entity to lead this transformation.
Evio has advanced analytics and contracting capabilities at scale, and a suite of digital tools, to power our high-cost medication solutions. Our solutions act as a self-reinforcing “flywheel” where each element strengthens and feeds into the next, and support an “Only Evio can do that,” mindset and prioritization.
Evio is also a company that has invested heavily in and been highly intentional about people, team and culture. We believe we have created a very special place to work and encourage candidates to observe and ask us about our culture and decide for themselves.
Evio's Values
- Empathy– The people our business serves always come first. We care for our teammates and put ourselves in the shoes of our health plan customers and the patients and clinicians our solutions benefit.
- Diversity – We are committed to fostering a culture where everyone belongs and is valued for their background, experience and insights – one that encourages diversity of ideas, and is a nurturing, trusting, and accepting place for all.
- Adventure – We are flexible, thrive in ambiguity, fail fast, and pivot quickly to get to a better answer. We celebrate wins and pivots with equal intensity.
- Relentless – Guided by evidence and data, we are creative, curious, and unwavering in our pursuit of challenging the status quo and each other.
- Transparency – Just as we seek to bring transparency to the pharmacy supply chain, authenticity and integrity are core to the way we communicate.
- Excellence – We strive to raise the bar in all we do by hiring and developing exceptional talent and holding ourselves and our thinking to the highest standard.

Senior Software Engineer (Authentication)
Pindrop
Who We Are
Pindrop is a cybersecurity company delivering continuous identity verification across voice, video, and digital interactions. Powered by the Pindrop Intelligence Network, our unified trust platform helps enterprises answer three critical questions:
Is this identity synthetic? Detect AI-generated and manipulated voice and video.
Is this identity risky? Identify fraud, suspicious behavior, and other risk signals.
Is this identity known? Authenticate identities using voice, device, behavioral, and other signals.
Pindrop brings this intelligence together across purpose-built trust engines to help organizations make informed decisions in real time — protecting customers, workforce interactions, and emerging AI-driven interactions.
Pindrop protects billions of high-risk interactions for enterprises, including leading financial institutions, insurers, and healthcare organizations. Its technology is informed by more than 8 billion real-world interactions annually and protected by 300+ patents.
Recognized by TIME as one of the 10 Most Influential Software Companies of 2026 and by Inc. for Best in Business for Innovation, Pindrop is backed by leading investors including Andreessen Horowitz, IVP, and CapitalG.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Authentication team, you will help build and scale the cloud services behind Passport as the team continues moving customers onto its cloud platform. You’ll focus on highly reliable, secure authentication services that power voice-based identity verification at scale, while increasingly leveraging AI/ML-driven signals and tooling to strengthen fraud defenses and engineering productivity. More specifically, you will:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor high-performance backend services and APIs using Go and Python, with an emphasis on secure, low-latency authentication and identity workflows.
- Build and maintain cloud‑native services across AWS and GCP (e.g., S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, IAM) with a focus on reliability, scale, and secure production operation, including data pipelines that feed downstream ML and risk models used in authentication decisions.
- Deliver features and enhancements through the full software development lifecycle, including implementation, automated testing, deployment, and operational support, using CI/CD and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
- Tackle complex software engineering problems in authentication, identity, and fraud prevention—contributing to architecture decisions, threat‑aware design, and continuous improvement of engineering best practices across the team.
- Integrate and consume AI/ML capabilities (for example, model-backed risk scores, deepfake detection signals, or ML‑driven policies) by collaborating with Research, MLOps, and Protect/Passport teams, and help productionize these models into scalable, observable services.
- Use observability and diagnostics tooling (metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards) to troubleshoot production issues, reduce alert noise, and systematically improve reliability and latency for authentication journeys.
- Partner closely with software engineering, test engineering, research, product, Protect, Passport, and Core teams to deliver new capabilities and improve existing ones, including AI‑enhanced identity and fraud experiences for customers.
- Participate in the team’s on‑call rotation, including helping cover after‑hours alerts as we expand distributed support coverage for our customer‑facing authentication platform.
- Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and design reviews that clarify how authentication services behave, how AI/ML components are used safely, and how other engineers should integrate with the platform.
Who you are
- You are a strong communicator who collaborates effectively across engineering, product, test, research, and other cross‑functional partners.
- You are an owner who can independently drive work from design through production with strong judgment around performance, scale, security, and reliability in authentication flows.
- You are energized by solving hard technical problems and improving systems, processes, and engineering standards, especially in high‑stakes, security‑sensitive environments.
- You are resilient, adaptable, and effective in environments that require context switching, rapid troubleshooting, and operating through ambiguity while maintaining high quality.
- You are resourceful and curious—comfortable learning new tools (including AI tooling) and teaching yourself what you need to move a problem forward, then sharing that knowledge with the team.
- You are invested in helping others grow and bring a mentorship mindset to code reviews, pairing, and day‑to‑day collaboration.
Your skill-set
Must-haves:
- 5-7+ years of professional software development experience building backend services and APIs.
- Strong experience with Go, Python, or similar languages, plus a solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and Linux-based development.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating cloud-native systems in AWS or GCP, including managed services such as S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and IAM.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and production ownership, including deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting services in live environments.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with backend data stores and messaging technologies such as Redis, MySQL, RabbitMQ, and Elasticsearch.
- Experience in authentication, identity, fraud prevention, or other security-sensitive product environments.
- Experience with observability tooling and production diagnostics across metrics, logging, and tracing.
- Exposure to UI work or adjacent product experiences that connect backend systems to customer-facing workflows.
What's in it for you
At Pindrop, you’ll work on the backend and platform systems that power Passport, helping secure critical customer interactions where trust, fraud prevention, and identity verification matter every day.
