Oxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client seeking an Injection Molding Process Technician.

Direct Hire | Night Shift

This position is responsible for supporting daily production operations, troubleshooting process and equipment issues, and providing leadership within assigned manufacturing cells. The ideal candidate will have hands-on injection molding experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to make sound decisions that support quality, safety, and production goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership to production personnel within assigned manufacturing cells
• Monitor injection molding processes to ensure quality parts are being produced
• Identify and troubleshoot potential issues with machinery, molds, process settings, auxiliary equipment, and other factors that may impact quality or production schedules
• Support process adjustments and corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
• Ensure production activities align with company goals, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and technicians on adjacent shifts
• Participate in shift turnover to ensure a smooth handoff of operations
• Assist with maintaining clean, organized, and efficient work areas

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience including at least 2 years of injection molding experience
• Strong mechanical capability and hands-on troubleshooting skills
• Ability to identify process, equipment, and quality issues in a production environment
• Comfortable working in a decision-making role with leadership responsibilities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across shifts
• Ability to work onsite on night shift

Yearly Base Salary Range: $61193 to $80995

Office Hours: This is a day shift position (6am - 4pm),
Must-Haves Skills, Education, Experience & Certificates:

• Proficient with 3d design Software.
• Industrial experience with machinery.
• Leadership Training - experience leading a team.
• BS in engineering, industrial technology, or plastics technology.
• Certificates: 3D Design Software ( AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, INVENTOR). Excel MACROS. Project Management (PMP, PMI).

Nice-To-Haves Skills & Experience:

• Bilingual - English and Spanish.

Responsibilities and Requirements for Process Engineer Technician I:

• The safety and health of employees take precedence over all duties of this job.
• Monitors cycle times and adjusts as needed. Maintain accuracy of processes during production.
• Proficiency on Microsoft Office (Excel, Power point, Word).
• Modify processes as required for product orders.
• Correct errors and work with operators to constantly improve process clarification and effectiveness.
• Conduct mechanical tasks such as process monitoring, sampling and testing, preparing and isolating equipment for maintenance.
• Provide technical support to shift for trouble shooting and problem resolution.
• Ensure equipment and processes meet and sustain standard production outputs.
• Monitors operations process, work, and material flow to ensure quality and customer specs are met.
• Assists maintenance with preventative maintenance projects.
• Back-up on running presses during breaks, etc. and also back up to shift supervisor.
• Conducts test and trial runs as needed.
• Assists in mold changes and repairs as needed to optimize the molding process.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area.
• Training of Production Supervisors and other Process Technicians.
• Performs all duties in a manner that demonstrates the highest level of quality and safety

Responsibilities and Requirements for Process Engineer Technician II:

• Provide repair and replacement of electrical and/or pneumatic instrumentation and control systems.
• Maintain and improve upon existing manufacturing practices for the manufacture of finished goods.
• Capable to create data base and manipulate charts.
• Creating and understanding Pareto charts.
• Understanding and developing projects to improve PPK's throughout the plant.
• Proficient on quality equipment calibration.
• Knowledgeable on Thermoforming process (how to set up equipment, knowledge on mechanical components, electrical components, pneumatics).
• Be able to create, develop and maintain recipes on Thermoforming.
• Knowledgeable on Extrusion process (how to set up equipment, knowledge on mechanical components, electrical components, pneumatics).
• Be able to create, develop and maintain recipes on Extrusion.
• Capable to detect deficiencies and implement process-countermeasures to solve problems.
• Proficient on Infinity Database, Agile, Vorne, OEE studio.

Responsibilities and Requirements for Process Engineer Technician III:

• Lead an SPS team.
• Be able to develop blue belt project.
• Proficient with 3D Design Software ( AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, INVENTOR).
• Capable to handle projects (upgrading equipment, managing contractors).
• Create and run CAA Capital Projects.
• Propose and implement continuous improvement projects on the production floor.
• Communicate with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
• Responsible for implementing visual controls and standard work in department.
• Work with the plant and management to improve safety initiatives.
