Field Sales Representative - Restoration Services
BDA, Inc
You Already Know This Work. You've Just Never Been Paid for Knowing It.
If you've spent years as a plumber, an HVAC tech, a restoration tech, a project manager, or a superintendent, you already know things we could never teach a stranger.
You know what a flooded basement looks like at six in the morning. You know which contractors answer the phone and which ones don't. You can spot a property manager having the worst week of her year from across the parking lot.
You probably also know your knees and your back aren't going to do this forever.
This is a way to stay in the industry and get out of the truck.
The Move We're Describing
All Dry Services responds when property is damaged by water, fire, mold, and other emergencies. We're hiring an outside salesperson to represent us across the Louisville market.
The job is to build relationships with the people who run into property damage regularly, and make sure they think of us first.
It's still field work. You're still in your vehicle, still on job sites, still around the same people you've worked alongside for years. What changes is why you're there.
What You Already Have That We Can't Train
• Credibility. When you explain what a water loss does to a building's timeline, people can hear that you've actually stood in one.
• Relationships. You've worked with contractors, plumbers, and property managers all over this city. Some of them already trust you.
• Judgment about the work. You can tell a job that will go smoothly from one that won't.
• Comfort on a job site and in a leasing office both.
What You'd Have to Learn
Being good with people on a job site isn't the same thing as selling.
You'd have to learn to ask for things. To walk into offices where nobody is expecting you. To follow up a fourth time without feeling like a pest. To run a pipeline instead of a punch list.
We provide professional sales training and ongoing development, and we'd expect you to lean on it hard for the first six months. Most people coming out of the trades can make this transition. Not everyone wants to, and that's worth being honest with yourself about now.
The People You'd Be Calling On
• Property Managers
• Facility Managers
• Insurance Agents & Adjusters
• Plumbers
• HVAC Contractors
• General Contractors
• Commercial Property Professionals
• Business Owners
The Honest Downsides
• No inbound leads. You build the pipeline yourself, starting from nothing.
• A longer feedback loop. A relationship you open in January may not send you work until April.
• More rejection than you're used to. On a job site, people need you there. In sales, nobody asked you to come.
• Daily driving. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
The First Year
Months 1–3: learn our side of the business, build your target list, start getting in front of people.
Months 3–6: steady field activity, your first referral partners, early work coming in from your own contacts.
Months 6–12: repeat referrals, a pipeline with real weight behind it, and earnings that reflect the network you've built.
Nobody here expects a big first month.
How to Apply
Send us your resume.
If you've worked in the field, tell us which corner of this industry you know best. If you haven't, tell us about a door you got through that probably should have stayed closed.
Requirements
If You're Not Coming From the Trades
That's fine too.
If you have outside sales, B2B, business development, insurance, property management, or account management experience and you can open doors, we'll teach you the industry side. A trades background is an advantage here, not a requirement.
Benefits
What It Pays
• $50,000–$60,000 base salary
• Uncapped commission
• Six-figure earning potential
• Professional sales training and ongoing development
• Company technology provided
• Long-term career growth opportunity
For a lot of people coming off the tools, the base lands in the range of what they're earning now — without the physical toll. The commission is where this gets interesting, and nobody puts a ceiling on it.
