Sales Engineer
ECP
About ECP
ECP is a market-leading SaaS solution that enables senior living communities to better care for their residents. ECP is used in over 8,000 communities. We're looking to further expand by increasing the number of customers that use our software and increasing the scope of how we serve our customers by developing and releasing new products.
Senior living is deeply under-penetrated with software and ECP is one of the largest and fastest-growing software companies in the industry. We recently raised a growth round of equity to reinvest in our product, technology, and go-to-market. Our mission is to build world-class software that improves the quality of life for seniors and improves clinical, business, compliance, and operational performance for our customers.
Role Overview
The Sales Engineer will serve as a strategic technical advisor throughout the sales process, partnering closely with Account Executives and the Director of Solutions Engineering to help senior living operators evaluate ECP's platform. This role extends well beyond product demonstrations—it requires the ability to understand complex operational challenges, develop solution strategies, and communicate how ECP improves clinical, operational, financial, and business outcomes.
The ideal candidate will already possess a strong understanding of the senior living industry and be comfortable engaging executive stakeholders, including clinical leaders, operations, finance, IT, and ownership groups. They should be an exceptional storyteller who can tailor demonstrations around each prospect's goals, connecting ECP's capabilities to measurable business value rather than simply showcasing features.
This individual will play a foundational role in scaling the Solutions Engineering organization and elevating the sophistication of our technical sales process.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle to develop winning solution strategies.
- Lead highly customized product demonstrations that tell a compelling business and operational story.
- Consult with operators to understand complex workflows and recommend scalable solutions.
- Translate customer challenges into product capabilities and measurable business outcomes.
- Complete RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, and technical documentation.
- Serve as a liaison between Sales and Product by communicating market feedback, feature requests, and competitive intelligence.
- Keep the sales organization informed on new product functionality through enablement sessions, demo updates, and internal training.
- Develop and maintain demo environments, presentation materials, and solution playbooks.
- Support discovery sessions, technical deep dives, executive presentations, and proof-of-concept discussions.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Implementation to ensure consistent messaging and smooth customer transitions.
Partnership with the Director of Solutions Engineering
This role will work in close partnership with the Director of Solutions Engineering to help scale ECP's technical sales organization. Together, they will refine solution strategy, improve selling motions, and build repeatable processes that elevate the customer buying experience.
- Partner on strategic pursuits and executive presentations.
- Develop scalable demo strategies, storytelling, and best practices.
- Assist with complex RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, and technical documentation.
- Provide structured field feedback to Product Management to influence roadmap priorities.
- Build and maintain demo environments and sales enablement resources.
- Coach and enable Account Executives on new functionality, competitive positioning, and solution selling.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and help build the future of the Solutions Engineering organization.
What Success Looks Like
- Increased sales win rates through strategic discovery and solution consulting.
- Compelling, outcome-focused demonstrations that differentiate ECP from competitors.
- A strong partnership with Account Executives that improves sales effectiveness.
- Faster, higher-quality RFP/RFI completion.
- Better alignment between customer needs and Product roadmap priorities.
- A well-enabled sales organization that stays current on new capabilities and confidently communicates ECP's value.
- Helping establish the foundation for a scalable, world-class Solutions Engineering organization.
Requirements
- Experience in senior living, post-acute healthcare, or healthcare technology.
- Strong understanding of assisted living operations, clinical workflows, medication management, billing, or resident care.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and executive facilitation skills.
- Ability to translate complex functionality into meaningful business value.
- Experience leading executive-level discussions with large, multi-site organizations.
- Highly collaborative and comfortable working across multiple departments.
- Strong written communication skills with experience completing RFPs, RFIs, and technical questionnaires.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Passion for continuous learning and becoming a trusted advisor to both prospects and internal teams.
- Travel Expectations (estimated up to 25% on average)
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, conferences, and strategic onsite engagements.
- Attend executive and C-suite demonstrations for enterprise opportunities where in-person collaboration creates additional value.
- Travel alongside Account Executives and the Director of Solutions Engineering to support high-impact customer engagements.

Dossier
Senior Solutions Engineer, Healthcare (U.S.)
Dossier is the competency management platform built only for healthcare. For 25 years we have helped health systems turn evidence-based practice into measurable improvement across nursing, pharmacy, lab, respiratory and imaging. More than half a million healthcare professionals across the U.S. and Europe use our platform to manage and validate competencies in real time, and we are now building a high-performing enterprise sales team across the United States.
The Role
We are hiring a Senior Solutions Engineer to own the demo and the technical win on our largest enterprise deals. This is a true pre-sales role: you partner with our Enterprise Account Executives from first discovery through close, lead technical and clinical discovery with CNOs, nursing directors, clinical education leaders, CIOs and HR, and deliver demos built around how each health system actually runs competency today. Along with the demo itself, you help qualify opportunities, set demonstration criteria, build proof-of-concept environments and shape the plan that takes a deal from evaluation to signature.
This role is remote within the U.S. Central or Eastern time zone working hours are preferred. Some travel to conferences and on-site demos.
What You'll Do
- Lead discovery alongside the AE and translate pain points, current processes and the ideal future state into demonstration criteria for each deal
- Deliver tailored demos, executive presentations, workshops and proof-of-concept builds on enterprise opportunities ($100K+ ACV, multi-facility health systems), built around the prospect's own clinical workflows in demo environments you maintain
- Lead technical discovery: current-state systems, HRIS and LMS integrations, single sign-on, data flows and compliance requirements
- Partner with the AE on the business case: clinical and quality outcomes, educator time, accreditation readiness and ROI
- Own the technical, integration and security sections of RFIs, RFPs and questionnaires, and resolve technical questions during the sales cycle so deals do not stall
- Own the demo playbook and certify AEs to demo smaller deals on their own
- Document the agreed solution at close for a clean handoff to implementation, bring field insight back to product, and keep demo activity logged in HubSpot
How We Hire
A 30-minute first conversation with Rachael Roche, CRO. A live demo working session where you run a discovery-to-demo exercise on a real Dossier scenario. Final conversations with the leadership team.
Compensation
Competitive compensation made up of a base salary plus a variable component, set according to experience. We share specifics early in the process.
Requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years in a pre-sales, solution consulting or sales engineering role at an enterprise SaaS company, with domain expertise in healthcare workforce, clinical education, learning or human capital management applications
- Experience selling into health systems or hospitals, with a working understanding of how nursing, clinical education and HR operate
- Proven track record owning discovery-to-demo on $100K+ ACV deals, including executive presentations and RFP responses
- Outstanding discovery, presentation and influencing skills with C-level executives, specifically the office of the CNO and CHRO, as well as hospital IT and security teams
- Working knowledge of HRIS and LMS integrations, single sign-on and data flows
- Experience building demo environments, demo flows and enablement for sellers
- Ability to work under pressure on multiple opportunities at once, and disciplined in HubSpot or a similar CRM
- U.S. based and authorized to work in the U.S.; comfortable with some travel to conferences and on-site demos
Nice to Have
- Clinical background (RN, MSN, nursing informatics, nursing professional development)
- Experience with competency management, clinical education or healthcare workforce platforms
- Familiarity with accreditation and regulatory requirements for clinical staff
- Enough understanding of AI and analytics to design demos and proofs of concept around a prospect's business challenges
Probably not a fit if: your experience is implementation or training rather than pre-sales; you have only demoed to end users, not to executive buyers; or you want to run deals rather than win the technical side of them.
Benefits
We work hard and take care of our people. As a U.S.-based, full-time team member you will get:
- Flexible paid time off, no accruals, no caps, no forms
- Paid U.S. federal holidays
- Medical, dental and vision insurance
- 401(k) with company match
- A real learning culture: we regularly bring in global subject-matter experts and invest in your development
Dossier is an equal-opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse team and an inclusive workplace where the best person for the job thrives.

You will partner with Account Managers across our existing provider base and with new business Account Executives to understand customer data problems, design credible solutions and lead the technical evaluation from first discovery through close. You should be equally comfortable discussing business outcomes with a CFO as you are discussing data architecture with a head of data.
The Data Products team is a startup operating inside CentralReach. We are establishing our own playbook and processes as we build. We are looking for someone with low patience for heavy process and a high ownership mentality. You challenge weak requirements, you kill poorly scoped evaluations early and you do not wait for a playbook to be handed to you. You will have meaningful influence over product direction and the data sales process.
Key Accountabilities:
- Own the technical portion of the sales process from discovery through technical validation and close
- Partner with Account Managers and new business Account Executives on account strategy, qualification, deal planning and stakeholder management
- Work with the VP of Data Products to evaluate the existing customer base, identify which accounts are ready for which products and help build target lists with Account Managers
- Lead technical discovery to uncover the customer's architecture, workflows, pain points, decision criteria and business objectives, then translate what you find into clear solution designs across Advanced BI, Data Warehouse, APIs and Benchmarking
- Deliver tailored demos that connect capability to measurable customer outcomes rather than scripted product tours
- Scope and run proofs of concept and technical evaluations with success criteria defined up front, and drive each one to a yes or a no on a timeline
- Build and defend the business case, including TCO and ROI comparisons against a customer building the capability in-house
- Map each customer to the right product for their current stage and name what they will need at the next one
- Handle technical objections spanning architecture, security, data access, scalability, deployment, APIs, entitlements and integration, and test what competitors actually deliver rather than absorbing what prospects believe they deliver
- Create reusable evaluation plans, ROI models, solution patterns and technical collateral that let the broader sales organization participate
- Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering from customer conversations, competitive evaluations and recurring technical requirements, and support handoff after close so expectations, architecture decisions and success criteria are documented
- Use AI tooling (LLMs, code copilots, semantic search) as a core part of your workflow. This is how the team works, not a nice-to-have
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years in sales engineering, solutions consulting or pre-sales architecture supporting a technical B2B product in data infrastructure, analytics, developer tools, observability or enterprise AI
- A track record of evaluations that ended in a decision rather than in an indefinite pilot, and of deals you can point to as technically won
- Experience selling to data and engineering leaders alongside business buyers such as CEOs, CFOs and COOs
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex methodology to a non-technical executive without losing precision
- Comfortable in a team still building its processes, with a bias toward action
Commercial Judgment
- Willingness to disqualify and to challenge weak requirements before an evaluation gets scoped
- Understanding of how architecture and delivery decisions affect pricing, packaging and renewal outcomes, including consumption-based models
- Sound instincts about where technical effort is worth spending across several live opportunities at once
- Low ego, with real curiosity about how customers work rather than about what the product does
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of modern data architecture: warehouses, databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure and pipelines
- Understanding of data governance, de-identification, suppression, entitlements and the audit requirements of externally facing analytics
- Enough architecture depth to hold a credible conversation with a head of data who has already stood up their own stack, without reaching for unnecessary complexity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at a data, analytics, cloud, infrastructure or observability company and familiarity with platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, dbt or Looker
- Experience with enterprise security review, procurement and technical diligence
- Experience joining or helping build an early sales engineering organization or selling an emerging category where customer education is part of the cycle
- Healthcare data exposure such as claims, quality measures or de-identification standards
