At Murj, we do what we love and love what we do!

Murj was founded in 2014 to solve a problem witnessed first-hand. Founder and CEO, Todd, worked with cardiology practices as an implantable cardiac device sales representative for Medtronic. He watched clinicians struggle to manage these sophisticated devices using outdated and inadequate tools. Having previously worked in product management at Apple, Todd knew that brilliant design can profoundly impact the user experience -- so why not design a better way to care for patients with implantable devices?

In Murj, Todd created an enterprise SaaS cardiac device management software solutions company that reimagines and transforms patient care through thoughtful design and a passion for quality and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Today, Murj continues this transformative innovation with intuitive, elegant, and imaginative technology solutions that improve the lives of cardiac care professionals and their patients.

What Murj offers.

Murj is for people seeking a fast-paced, ever-changing environment surrounded by a supportive team that works hard and strives for innovation and professionalism, with a steady diet of humility and camaraderie.

Every employee is treated like family, with love, respect, and responsibility. The individual and collective success of every employee is at the forefront of what we do and believe.

And in joining Murj, you are joining a community that believes in evolution and promotion from within; there is a high degree of opportunity for progression, creativity, and ownership.

From your first day at Murj, you are eligible for full medical, dental, and vision insurance along with an open vacation policy, more than 10 annual company holidays, and competitive compensation and equity participation, and a 401(k) after 3 months of service.

How We Work at Murj

Murj is the right place for people who excel in fast-paced, dynamic environments. Murj embodies a high-performance culture where every team member is expected to exceed expectations and take ownership beyond their role to drive our collective success.

Employees should be comfortable working independently and taking initiative to identify and address needs. This proactive approach is essential to thriving at Murj.

We believe in working hard together, with a shared sense of purpose and drive. We’re not afraid to ask tough questions, and we support each other in reaching for bold new ideas.

Let us leave you with this.

If this role sounds intriguing - we encourage you to apply. And we encourage applicants to embrace new challenges, as the right fit at Murj is often more about the person and the challenges they seek, not just what they have accomplished in the past.

About The Role.

As an SQA Engineer at Murj, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of our enterprise SaaS cardiac device management platform. Working closely with Engineering and Product teams, you will focus on end-to-end functional testing, user-level workflow validation, and exploratory testing to safeguard clinical data integrity, interval tracking, and EHR interoperability. You will serve as the advocate for our clinical users, ensuring that every software update delivers a seamless and highly reliable experience for healthcare providers managing life-saving cardiac devices.

What You’ll Do.

  • Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and manual test cases covering functional, end-to-end, regression, and usability testing.
  • Validate complex clinical workflows, including patient data processing, transmission triaging, billing interval tracking, and discrete HL7/FHIR EHR data integration.
  • Perform non-code-level (black box) functional validation to simulate real-world clinician and administrator usage patterns across the application.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to review requirements, refine user stories, and ensure complete test coverage prior to product releases.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects thoroughly using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira), working alongside developers to verify fixes and ensure high-quality software output.
  • Partner with Customer Support to investigate, reproduce, and triage reported production bugs or customer-escalated application issues.
  • Participate in release readiness evaluations and sign-off processes for web application deployments and feature updates.

What Makes You a Great Fit.

  • You have an uncompromising commitment to quality and detail, recognizing that behind every software feature are clinicians and cardiac patients who depend on accurate data.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical thinking and curiosity, actively probing for edge cases, unexpected user paths, and system failure modes.
  • You take full ownership over software quality, proactively identifying gaps in requirement specifications or test coverage without waiting for direction.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, navigating shifting priorities with adaptability and a solution-oriented mindset.

What You Bring.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on manual/black box testing of web applications and SaaS platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience testing complex workflows, cross-browser performance, and data integration layers.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Proven ability to write clear, concise, and structured test plans, test scenarios, and bug reports.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Nice To Haves.

  • Experience testing healthcare software, clinical software workflows, or medical device data systems.
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR) and HIPAA/PHI compliance regulations.
  • Experience using Jira or similar test management and issue tracking platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman) for validating data movement across endpoints.

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days).

  • First 30 Days: You’ve completed onboarding, gained a strong foundational understanding of Murj’s clinical workflows and system architecture, and integrated into sprint rituals. You are executing existing test cases and participating in release regression cycles.
  • By Day 60: You are independently writing comprehensive test cases for new feature requests, partnering closely with Product and Engineering to clarify requirements, and triaging production bugs with Customer Support.
  • By Day 90: You are a trusted authority on software quality across the Murj platform. You have identified and filled gaps in test coverage, streamlined regression testing cycles, and consistently advocate for optimal user experience and system reliability.

Travel expectations:1-10%: Minimal to no travel; maybe a few meetings or events.

Full-Time | Remote (Europe / CET-Compatible Time Zones)

About Prism Studio

Our work is guided by a culture of innovation, creativity and close collaboration, allowing us to pursue our vision of bringing back the fun in video games and creating experiences that feel engaging, rewarding and memorable for players. We operate as a fully remote studio with a globally distributed team of experienced developers, artists and designers. Prism is structured around trust, accountability and clear communication, enabling us to collaborate efficiently across time zones while maintaining a consistent standard of quality and execution.

The studio is currently developing its first PvPvE multiplayer showdown shooter, Heptic Arena, with the aim of standing out within the genre and leaving a lasting impression on players. Join us on our exciting journey as we continue to build cutting-edge games, push the boundaries of what’s possible in the gaming world, and provide unparalleled entertainment and compelling experiences for players around the globe!

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to play a hands-on role in maintaining and raising the quality of our games throughout development.

Working closely with engineering, design, art and production, you will help apply a structured and proactive approach to testing across game features. You will be responsible for creating detailed test plans, identifying and investigating complex issues, executing testing workflows, and ensuring problems are communicated clearly and resolved effectively.

This role goes beyond surface-level testing. We are looking for someone who understands game development from a technical perspective and can think critically about how systems interact, where they may fail, and how quality can be verified early in the development process. As we develop Heptic Arena, you will play an important role in ensuring that gameplay systems, multiplayer functionality, performance, and the overall player experience meet the standard we want to deliver.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and execute test coverage across features, systems, and game builds throughout development.
  • Create detailed test plans, test cases, and regression suites based on technical and gameplay requirements.
  • Test new features and systems across functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and compatibility scenarios.
  • Identify, reproduce, investigate, and document bugs with clear reproduction steps, supporting evidence, and relevant technical information.
  • Work directly with engineers, designers, and other disciplines to investigate issues, determine severity, and validate fixes.
  • Test gameplay systems within Unreal Engine 5, using your technical understanding of the engine to investigate issues beyond surface-level behaviour.
  • Support testing of multiplayer and networked gameplay, identifying issues relating to replication, connectivity, latency, synchronisation, and player interactions.
  • Coordinate and support internal playtests, turning observations and player feedback into clear, actionable findings.
  • Maintain bug-tracking workflows, QA documentation, and reporting within Jira.
  • Monitor defect trends and testing data to identify recurring issues and areas requiring additional test coverage.
  • Contribute to automated testing and internal QA tools where appropriate.
  • Work closely with production and QA leadership to prioritise defects against development milestones and release requirements.
  • Help the wider team identify technical and gameplay risks early rather than relying on testing at the very end of production.

About You

  • Strong professional experience in game development QA, ideally in a senior QA, QA Engineer, or similarly technical quality role.
  • Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine 5, with proven commercial experience on a shipped title or game currently in active production.
  • Solid understanding of game development pipelines and the relationship between engineering, design, art, production, and QA.
  • Experience creating and maintaining structured test plans, test cases, and regression coverage.
  • Strong bug investigation and reproduction skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and precisely.
  • Working knowledge of one or more relevant scripting or programming technologies, such as Python, C#, Lua, Unreal Blueprints, or Unreal scripting tools.
  • Experience with QA and bug-tracking platforms such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration/delivery workflows.
  • Experience analysing QA data, defect trends, and testing results to identify patterns and areas of risk.
  • Comfortable working with technical teams and discussing issues directly with engineers.
  • Highly organised and capable of independently managing priorities across multiple features and areas of development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A proactive approach to quality, with the ability to identify potential issues before they become larger production problems.
  • Genuine interest in games and a strong understanding of what makes gameplay feel polished, responsive, and enjoyable.
  • Must be based in Europe or a CET-compatible time zone, with sufficient overlap with Central European working hours to participate consistently in daily collaboration, meetings, and team syncs.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience testing multiplayer, PvP, PvE, or shooter titles.
  • Experience testing networked gameplay and debugging issues involving replication, latency, matchmaking, or online services.
  • Experience developing or maintaining automated testing frameworks, scripts, or QA tools.
  • Experience with performance, load, or stress testing.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated build validation.
  • Experience testing across multiple platforms.
  • AAA game development experience.
  • Experience working within a fully remote, multinational game development team.
  • Experience contributing to a title through multiple stages of production, from early development through launch.
  • An active interest in competitive and multiplayer games.

Life at Prism Studio

We work as one unit with one common goal. Our purpose is to build a cross-disciplinary team where everyone is self-managing, wherever they are in the world. We collaborate in an open, friendly way, as a global team built on talent and communication.
