QA-Engineer, Automation-Testing, Quality-Assurance-Engineer Jobs

• Acts as a QA focal point to development teams when communicating with Quality Assurance Team members;
  
• Provides support for QA and related services and help to expand and improve the effectiveness of these services;
  
• Creates, executes, automates, and manages test cases and test plans for existing and developed systems;
  
• Supports software development process and implementation of new software releases by testing computer application systems and programs, using team established standards for IT technologies and tools;
  
• Participates in the specification, design, automation and support of computer application systems from a quality assurance perspective;
  
• Drafts technical documentation for deployed computer application systems in the form of test cases and user stories;
  
• Maintains test and functional specifications for computer application systems, programs and procedures developed and/or modified;
  
• Drafts correspondence, communications and prepares team contributions for a variety of periodic reports;
  
• Keeps abreast of developments in the field of quality assurance and proposes new acquisitions as appropriate;

• Bachelor or Master degree;
  
• International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Foundation certification or similar certification is required. Any relevant additional QA certifications are desirable;
  
• +3 years of providing software quality assurance for medium-large sized development teams is required;
  
• +3 years of experience in developing Test Automation Frameworks or designing automated testing suites is required;
  
• +3 years of experience with regular release testing and clearance using Agile development approaches such as SCRUM is required;
  
• +3 years of experience with managing test code and definitions using Software Configuration Management and integrating testing and clearance processes with build tools such as Azure DevOps Services is required.
  
• +1 year of git source control including branching and processing of pull requests is required;
  
• +3 years of experience with developing UI test automation with Selenium using C#/.NET is required;
  
• +3 years in servicing geo/time zone distributed dev teams, QA team members, and clients is required;
  
• Daily, hands-on practical experience with writing test cases using Gherkin syntax is desirable;
  
• Daily, hands-on practical experience with testing software for Prince2 based projects is desirable;
  
• Experience in testing applications hosted in Microsoft Azure Cloud Services is desirable;

About the Role
We have an exciting role for a QA Engineer. Team responsibilities include developing scripts and tools to automate testing, building network environments for system testing, performing system tests, performing first level triage of issues discovered through test activities, and driving bug resolution with the development team.

What You Will Be Doing

• Designing, developing, and implementing automated test frameworks, scripts, and tools

• Utilizing CircleCI for continuous integration and continuous deployment of automated tests in the cloud environment

• Participating in code reviews to ensure high-quality test code and adherence to best practices

• Collaborating with the development team to understand software requirements and identify test cases

• Understanding Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and developing test specs from user stories

• Creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test data

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery of quality software

• Executing automated tests and analyzing test results to identify defects and performance issues

• Performing manual and exploratory testing to validate new features and uncover edge cases that automation misses

• Performing first level triage of bugs discovered through test activities

• Driving bug resolution with the development team

Basic Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python programming language

• Extensive experience in QA automation and test automation frameworks

• Knowledge of web application testing concepts, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser automation

• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional

teams

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related work experience

• Experience with C/C++, Java, or JavaScript

• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools, particularly CircleCI

• Knowledge of cloud platforms and experience deploying tests via the cloud

• Experience with other programming languages and automation frameworks

• Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Gherkin language

• Knowledge of API testing and familiarity with tools like Postman

• Understanding of containerization and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with performance testing and load testing tools

• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
