Senior Project Manager

Movemedical

**
United States
Full Time
Posted 22 days ago
Who Are We?

We at Movemedical make the world’s best software solution for medical device companies.

We're hiring a Senior Project Manager to own delivery of our strategic enterprise implementation programs for our medical device customer organizations. You’ll join our Professional Services team, working closely with our VP of Professional Services and Chief Customer Officer, with ownership over how these programs get run from day one.

We hire smart, tenacious people and give them the mentorship and opportunities they need to grow as team members and leaders. As a small company with big ambitions, we see and recognize the impact of every person on our team.

We are team-oriented and want each other to be successful; we pull together to accomplish our goals. Glassdoor gives us a 4.2/5.0 and Inc. put us on its Best Places to Work Editor’s List in 2019.

Who Are You?

You've either worked as a project manager inside a medical device or clinical organization, run large ERP or supply-chain implementations, or led enterprise-level SaaS implementations in the Life Sciences or Healthcare IT space. Either way, you speak the language of the clients we serve, and you bring real rigor to how you manage a program.

You’ve also worked somewhere fast-moving and not fully formal, and you know how to adapt your process to fit rather than importing a rigid framework. You don’t wait for internal clarity before acting with confidence. You hold the line on scope, timeline, and rigor with clients and with your own team, even while the environment around you is still being defined.

You’re comfortable being the senior voice in the room with a client, and just as comfortable pushing back internally when something isn’t set up to succeed. When a program starts heading toward real trouble, whether budget, timeline, or scope, you know when to handle it yourself and when to bring it to your manager, and you don’t wait until it’s unavoidable.

What Success Looks Like
  • Programs that run like clockwork: you own delivery of your assigned enterprise client implementations end-to-end, covering scoping, timeline, and risk and issue tracking, with a level of structure and status-reporting discipline that holds up under real scrutiny from clinical and med device clients.

  • A confident, credible presence: clients and internal teams see you as someone who can hold the line on scope, timeline, and rigor, even before every internal process is fully defined. You don’t wait for top-down clarity to act.

  • Process oriented approach: you’ve adapted PM process and status-reporting cadence to fit Movemedical’s actual pace and stage, building something repeatable rather than importing a framework wholesale, so the rigor doesn’t depend on any one person’s habits.

  • Judgment under pressure: you’ve correctly judged when a real risk needed to go to your manager versus being handled independently, and you’ve stayed effective through sustained ambiguity or internal politics without disengaging.

  • Trusted by clients and colleagues alike: you’ve built genuine credibility with med device and clinical client stakeholders, translating product and technical reality into plans they can trust, even when things weren’t going smoothly.

What will you do?
  • You will own end-to-end delivery of assigned client implementation programs, from kickoff through go-live

  • You will run and maintain program status reporting, timelines, and risk/issue tracking, communicating clearly with both client and internal stakeholders

  • You will act as the primary point of contact for client program stakeholders, representing Movemedical with the rigor and professionalism expected by med device and clinical organizations

  • You will coordinate cross-functionally with Professional Services, Support, and Product teams to keep implementations on track

  • You will build enough fluency in client-side technical and operational context, including inventory, supply chain, and clinical workflows, to be seen as credible by client stakeholders

  • You will escalate risks and blockers proactively and assertively, both internally and with clients, without waiting for permission

  • You will contribute to maturing Movemedical’s overall PM process and standards over time

What skills and experience do we expect you to have?
  • Experience as a project manager inside a medical device or clinical organization, running large ERP / supply-chain implementations (e.g., SAP), or leading enterprise-level SaaS implementations in the Life Sciences or Healthcare IT space. Industry exposure is valued, not required.

  • A track record of running complex, multi-stakeholder implementation programs end-to-end, with real scoping, timeline, and risk-tracking discipline

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt a PM process you know well to a faster-moving, less formal environment, rather than importing it wholesale

  • Comfortable holding a position and pushing back, whether with clients or with your own leadership, even under ambiguity or pressure

  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the judgment to know when to escalate a risk and when to handle it yourself

  • You're comfortable traveling up to approximately 25% of the time, as needed, to support client engagements

Is this the right role for you?
This is likely a strong fit if:
  • You’ve worked inside a medical device, clinical, or complex enterprise-implementation environment (SAP or similar) and speak that world fluently

  • You’d rather adapt your process to a fast-moving company than import a playbook wholesale from a more structured one

  • You hold your ground with clients and with your own leadership, and you’re comfortable acting before every detail is settled

  • You want real ownership of programs from day one, not a process someone else already built

It may be less of a fit if:
  • You do your best work when a company already has a mature, well-established process to step into, and you're less drawn to learning the operational ins and outs of medical device or clinical client environments. This role leans heavily on that operational fluency alongside the PM mechanics, so if you'd rather focus purely on the mechanics of the job, it's probably not where you'll do your best work.

  • You prefer a fully defined framework and a larger team to lean on before making a call

  • You are looking for a people-management role. This one has no direct reports today

What Character Traits Do We Value?

Hungry – You own problems and push beyond expectations without being asked
Humble – You value team success over ego and foster shared wins
Strong – You are self-aware, coachable, and willing to engage in hard conversations

What Do We Offer?

Great People: Join a team of hungry, humble, and strong problem solvers dedicated to impacting patient lives around the world.

Benefits: Healthcare (Medical, Dental, Vision), Wellness Programs, 401k, Flexible PTO

Remote-first Culture: Featured in Inc.'s Best Places to Work Editor's List with a 4.3/5.0 Glassdoor score

Other Perks: Stipends for fitness activities, snacks, and your at-home workspace

💵 Compensation

The base salary for this role ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 USD, depending on experience and qualifications.
