Learn more at www.descartes.com.

We’re growing fast and invite you to join our amazing team.

We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to own a core product area within the Warehouse Management value stream of our eCommerce portfolio. Our WMS serves third-party logistics providers, brands, and retailers whose operations depend on our software every hour of every day, receiving, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, and billing, often for many clients inside a single warehouse. This is a senior individual contributor role with high expectations. You’ll own outcomes, not a backlog: deciding which problems are worth solving, validating them directly with customers, and driving delivery with Engineering through to measurable business results. The WMS business was recently acquired by Descartes, so you’ll also help shape how it connects to the rest of our portfolio; order and inventory management, shipping, and transportation.

What You’ll Do

Own Your Product Area and Its Outcomes

  • Define and communicate a focused strategy and roadmap for your product area, tied to clear business objectives and customer outcomes.
  • Be accountable for results of adoption, retention, revenue, and operational efficiency does not feature shipped.
  • Know your numbers: revenue, growth, usage, churn drivers, and where the product wins and loses against competitors.
  • Prioritize with discipline and be clear about what we will not build, and why.

Lead Discovery

  • Spend real time with customers; on calls and on warehouse floors to understand the problems behind the requests.
  • Validate problems before committing to solutions, using interviews, usage data, prototypes, and experiments.
  • Turn ambiguous, messy problems into structured, actionable plans.

Drive Execution with Engineering

  • Partner closely with Engineering to deliver complete solutions workflows, edge cases, integrations, and performance at scale.
  • Go deep enough technically to understand the architecture, APIs, and data model, and make sound tradeoffs with engineers.
  • Balance roadmap work, technical investment, and customer commitments; remove blockers and keep scope disciplined.

Build with AI

  • Use AI tools daily to move faster in discovery, analysis, specs, and prototyping.
  • Identify and deliver AI-driven capabilities that create real value for warehouse operators and know where AI doesn’t belong.

Shape the Commercial Side

  • Contribute to pricing, packaging, positioning, and upsell decisions, grounded in customer value and financial impact.
  • Build the business case for investments using market insight, customer evidence, and financial models.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Professional Services on launches, enablement, and competitive positioning.
  • Stay ahead of the market – competitors, customer expectations, and emerging technology in fulfillment and logistics.

Connect the Portfolio and Lead Without Authority

  • Work with Product Managers across Descartes to identify integration and partnership opportunities so our products work as a connected suite.
  • Help bring the acquired WMS business into Descartes’ operating model without losing what made it successful.
  • Earn trust with executives and cross-functional partners through clear communication, sound judgment, and data.
  • Mentor other PMs and help raise the bar for product practice across the team.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, owning products through discovery, delivery, and iteration.
  • Experience in warehouse management, fulfillment, 3PL, order management, inventory, shipping, or logistics software strongly preferred.
  • A track record of delivering business outcomes, not just features – and you can describe them in numbers.
  • High agency: you take initiative, create momentum, and own outcomes end to end without waiting to be asked.
  • Strong, hands-on discovery skills with direct customer exposure.
  • Technically fluent and comfortable in complex, multi-system, integration-heavy environments; a technical background is a plus.
  • Commercially fluent – you understand pricing, packaging, unit economics, and how your product makes money.
  • A daily, hands-on user of AI tools, with a point of view on how AI should shape both the product and the way product teams work.
  • Clear, concise communicator who brings structure to ambiguity and adapts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Early signs of leadership – mentoring others, leading cross-functional initiatives, or influencing decisions above your level.
  • Willing to travel periodically to customer sites, warehouses, and team locations.

What We Value

  • Intellectual Curiosity: You don’t just accept the problem; you unpack it. You ask the second and third questions. You seek to understand, then act.
  • Bias for Ownership: You step into gaps, drive clarity, and take accountability for the result; not just the process.
  • Customer Empathy: You treat the customer’s problem like your own. You test assumptions and listen with the intent to solve.
  • Product Rigor: You know the difference between a roadmap and a strategy. You demand high-quality thinking and bring data to decisions.
  • Team-First: You make the people around you better. You share credit, own misses, and help others raise their game.

AHEAD builds platforms for digital business. By weaving together advances in cloud infrastructure, automation and analytics, and software delivery, we help enterprises deliver on the promise of digital transformation.
At AHEAD, we prioritize creating a culture of belonging, where all perspectives and voices are represented, valued, respected, and heard. We create spaces to empower everyone to speak up, make change, and drive the culture at AHEAD.
We are an equal opportunity employer, and do not discriminate based on an individual's race, national origin, color, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, marital status, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law, whether actual or perceived.
We embrace all candidates that will contribute to the diversification and enrichment of ideas and perspectives at AHEAD.

AHEAD is seeking a thoughtful, driven Product Manager to help build Hatch and Unity, two core platforms transforming how we deliver IT asset intelligence and management. This is a role that blends strategy, execution, and collaboration, perfect for someone energized by owning a problem space and bringing complex ideas to life.

As Product Manager, you'll own one of our product modules and the outcomes it drives, from ideation through rollout and beyond. Your work will span user discovery, stakeholder alignment, solution definition, and go-to-market delivery. From working sessions with UI/UX to stand-ups with engineering, to prototyping new solutions, to frontline user sessions, your ability to turn insight into outcomes will shape the experience of thousands of users.

In this role you will have strong opinions, loosely held. Details matter to you. You see the world of software today and regularly identify how it should be better. You have a passion for what's next and you're always eager to explore and understand something new. You understand the role AI is playing in changing how software works and what that means for its relationship to users.

And above all, you believe the client experience comes first.

What Will You Be Doing?

    • Own one of our product modules end to end: its outcomes, roadmap, and full lifecycle from concept to launch to measuring results

    • Contribute to overall product strategy and own communicating your module's roadmap to internal and external audiences

    • Define product requirements grounded in real user problems and validated feedback

    • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to bring intuitive, user-centered experiences to life

    • Work closely with stakeholders across various teams, such as platform success, marketing, operations, to ensure launches are well-coordinated and successful

    • Identify new ways to leverage AI to enhance the product experience

    • Stay deeply engaged with clients and end users: run feedback sessions, iterate quickly, and proactively surface improvement opportunities

What Does the Ideal Candidate Look Like?

  • Focus on driving outcomes over output: problems solved, metrics moved, user behavior changed, revenue influenced
    • Strong product discovery skills that turn ambiguity into insight and a strong opinion on what to do next

    • Proven user empathy: starts with the user's problem, not the feature request

    • Builder mindset: quick to make ideas tangible, quicker to throw them away when they miss

    • Works fluently with designers and engineers: translates vision into prototypes and understands technical feasibility firsthand

    • Excellent judgment balancing user value and business needs

    • Clear, concise communicator comfortable with executives, engineers, and everyone in between

    • Fluent with current AI tools, with an aptitude for using them to research, prototype, and communicate intent

Why You’ll Love It Here:

    • Join a client-centric culture where your ideas shape the tools our clients rely on every day

    • Be a builder—launch meaningful features from the ground up and influence the evolution of our platforms

    • Thrive in a collaborative environment where delivery, engineering, design, and operations work together as partners

    • Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a healthy respect for work-life balance

Make Your Voice Heard:

We know impactful product managers bring more than just requirements, they bring perspective. Whether you’ve led internal tools for complex orgs or helped ship customer-facing features in tight timelines, your experience matters. Share what you’ve built, how you think, and what product leadership means to you.

Please include links to any product documentation, project briefs, launch materials, or artifacts that showcase your work and ownership.

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

Why AHEAD:

Through our daily work and internal groups like Moving Women AHEAD and RISE AHEAD, we value and benefit from diversity of people, ideas, experience, and everything in between.
We fuel growth by stacking our office with top-notch technologies in a multi-million-dollar lab, by encouraging cross department training and development, sponsoring certifications and credentials for continued learning.

USA Employment Benefits include:

- Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
- 401(k)
- Paid company holidays
- Paid time off
- Paid parental and caregiver leave
- Plus more! See benefits for additional details.

Use of AI:

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, assessing responses, or to capture recordings and create transcriptions or summaries during interviews. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please refer to the Candidate Privacy Notice or contact us at .
You may opt-out of the review or analysis of your application and resume by AI tools by using the General Application. Summit K12

United States
Full Time
Posted 9 days ago
The Product Manager owns the health, direction, requirements, readiness, adoption, and measurable outcomes of assigned Summit K12 products across the full product lifecycle. The role combines strong inbound product management with outbound product ownership: understanding customers and markets, setting priorities, defining requirements, partnering closely with Design and Engineering, validating product quality, preparing the organization and customers for successful adoption, and using post-launch evidence to continuously improve the product.
Summit K12 Product Managers are expected to become credible domain experts in the products and customer problems they own. They do not need to enter the role as the deepest subject-matter expert in every area, but they are expected to build sufficient market, product, workflow, and applicable state or regulatory knowledge to make sound decisions, support expansion into new markets, and represent the product with confidence.
A Product Manager is not a project coordinator, permanent frontline support representative, dedicated QA engineer, or product marketer. PMs own product truth, readiness, prioritization, and outcomes. PjMs drive approved projects through delivery; Product Operations runs the operating system; Product Design owns experience design and usability practice; Engineering owns technical architecture and implementation; Academic owns academic integrity within its authority; and customer-facing functions own scaled execution in their disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own the Product

  • Maintain a current, evidence-based view of product health across adoption, usage, customer outcomes, support burden, defects, maintenance needs, UX debt, renewal risk, business performance, and strategic fit.
  • Own product roadmap and prioritization within approved strategy, balancing maintenance, customer commitments, growth, quality, modernization, and market expansion.
  • Make routine product decisions independently within delegated authority and surface keep, improve, consolidate, migrate, or retire recommendations when evidence warrants.
  • Own multiple products where scope and complexity permit, using shared systems and clear priorities to avoid administrative sprawl.

2. Know the Customer, Market & Domain

  • Maintain current representative-user evidence sufficient to support material product and roadmap decisions; evidence quality matters more than interview quotas.
  • Combine customer feedback, workflow observation, analytics, support signals, implementation evidence, commercial context, and competitive/market information into clear problem definitions and product decisions.
  • Build and maintain credible domain expertise for assigned products, including relevant educator workflows, implementation realities, state or market requirements, policy/accountability context, and customer expectations where applicable.
  • As products expand, distinguish reusable core capabilities from state-, market-, or customer-specific requirements so growth does not create unnecessary one-off product variants.
  • Make explicit what is known, uncertain, assumed, and still needs validation.

3. Build the Right Product

  • Translate validated problems and business goals into clear outcomes, requirements, acceptance criteria, dependencies, implementation impacts, and success measures before significant work begins.
  • Partner continuously with Product Design and Engineering through discovery, refinement, development, demos, tradeoffs, and clarification so teams can move without unnecessary escalation or rework.
  • Maintain and prioritize enhancement, defect, and maintenance work based on customer impact, severity, strategic value, product health, and available capacity.
  • Act as the Product SME through QA and release gates: validate intended product behavior, workflows, logic, reporting, calculations, and requirements; clarify expected behavior for Engineering and QA; and determine Product readiness within delegated authority.
  • Use shared capabilities and established patterns before requesting one-off solutions.

4. Make the Product Successful

  • Own the product sales enablement and training plan, demonstrations, guidance, current materials and effectiveness needed for successful launch and adoption.
  • Personally demonstrate and deliver key product training when needed; build repeatable materials and train-the-trainer capability with Sales, Marketing, PD and CS for scaled delivery.
  • Serve as an expert product escalation resource for customer-facing teams while avoiding permanent dependency on the PM for routine frontline support.
  • Partner with Design, Engineering, Academic/Curriculum, PjM, Product Ops, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Implementation, and Support on launch and release readiness while preserving clear decision ownership.
  • Validate working product against intended outcomes and representative-user evidence before product acceptance.

5. Own Adoption, Outcomes & Continuous Improvement

  • Measure post-launch adoption, quality, customer impact, implementation friction, support burden, retention signals, and unintended consequences; convert learning into roadmap action.
  • Understand how assigned products contribute to customer value, retention, growth, market expansion, cost-to-serve, and competitive position.
  • Gather and validate customer feedback, prioritize action, communicate decisions back to customers and internal teams, and verify improvements. Address recurring issues through root-cause product decisions and reusable guidance.

6. Increase Product Leverage

  • Use Product Operations, PjM support, reusable systems, templates, automation, and AI to increase the scope that can be responsibly owned without reducing decision or evidence quality.
  • Use AI for research synthesis, analysis, requirements drafting, competitive/market synthesis, product monitoring, documentation, enablement drafting, and prototype support where reliable; verify outputs against source evidence and retain accountable product judgment.
  • Contribute reusable product patterns, evidence, requirements practices, enablement approaches, prompts, and learnings back to the Product organization.

Definition of Success

Assigned products have clear direction, current customer and market evidence, visible health, strong requirements, reliable Product acceptance, effective enablement, measurable adoption, and improving outcomes. The PM can represent the product credibly across Engineering, customers, implementation, support, and go-to-market teams; routine decisions move without unnecessary escalation; and the PM’s product span can grow because systems, reusable enablement, and strong judgment replace coordination overhead.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required

  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer problems and business goals into clear decisions, requirements, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, prioritization, cross-functional judgment, and ability to operate with clear decision rights.
  • Ability to use customer evidence, product data, support signals, delivery information, and business context to make sound tradeoffs.
  • Ability and willingness to develop credible domain expertise and represent assigned products in customer-facing, internal enablement, and cross-functional settings.
  • Ability to partner effectively with Engineering through enhancement, defect, QA, acceptance, and release decisions without taking over technical ownership.
  • Practical fluency with AI-assisted research, analysis, documentation, prototyping, or workflow automation while retaining human judgment and accountability.
  • 4+ years of product-management or closely related digital-product ownership experience, or equivalent demonstrated scope and capability.

Preferred

  • K-12 EdTech, SaaS, curriculum, assessment, analytics, multilingual learner, compliance/accountability, or complex workflow experience.
  • Experience supporting product launch, implementation, enablement, training, or customer adoption.

Benefits

Summit K12 offers a comprehensive benefits package. Highlights include:
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance with multiple plan options
  • Company-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) program
  • 10 paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday annually
  • Wellness resources and support programs
Summit K12 is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.

Product Manager AI

End-to-End AI Product Owner – Line of Business or Platform Aligned

Role Overview

The Product Manager / Product Owner – AI is responsible for end-to-end ownership of AI initiatives for a specific Line of Business or claims domain. This role partners directly with business stakeholders to define AI-enabled improvements to claims operations, cost control, and client service performance, and translates those objectives into structured, sprint-ready execution plans.

This role combines strategic initiative shaping with hands-on backlog ownership and daily collaboration with AI engineers and data scientists. It ensures that AI development is grounded in real operational pain points and that delivered solutions are practical, compliant, and measurable in impact.

Key Responsibilities

The Product Manager/Owner works directly with claims leadership, operational managers, and Business Transformation Leads to understand workflow bottlenecks, leakage drivers, customer friction points, regulatory risks, and client performance commitments. They translate these insights into clearly defined AI use cases with measurable operational objectives such as reduced claim cycle time, improved reserving accuracy, enhanced fraud detection rates, or improved document processing speed.

They decompose initiatives into epics and features that reflect real-world operational workflows, ensuring requirements account for system integrations, adjuster behavior, client reporting requirements, and compliance obligations. They collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to validate feasibility, data availability, model explainability considerations, and downstream operational impact.

They own and continuously refine the product backlog, ensuring it remains prioritized according to business value and aligned with enterprise AI portfolio constraints. They prepare stories with detailed acceptance criteria that reflect actual claims scenarios and operational realities, not abstract technical requirements.

During sprint execution, they remain closely engaged with the delivery team, clarifying nuances of claims processes, regulatory rules, and client-specific variations. They validate that developed models, automation features, or decision-support tools function appropriately within the claims workflow and align with user expectations.

They communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs to LOB stakeholders transparently, ensuring expectations are managed around sequencing and delivery timelines. Following deployment, they monitor adoption, operational metrics, and user feedback, adjusting backlog priorities based on real-world performance and measurable impact.

This role requires balancing operational urgency with disciplined backlog governance, particularly in environments where client escalations or regulatory deadlines may introduce pressure for rapid change.

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of experience in Product Management or Business-Technology roles within insurance, claims, or managed services
  • Strong understanding of claims operations, adjuster workflows, or insurance servicing models
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Ability to translate operational pain points into structured technical requirements
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills across business and technical audiences

        • Translate research findings into actionable recommendations, product requirements, and strategic opportunities.

        • Serve as the internal advocate for the customer throughout the product development lifecycle.

        • Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution

Tivly

**
United States
Full Time
Posted 22 days ago

Location: This is a remote role where candidates must currently reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia.

Employment type: Full-time

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

About Tivly
Tivly is one of the largest marketplaces for commercial insurance in the United States, connecting business owners looking to protect their businesses with insurance carriers that fit their needs. Since 2009, Tivly has established a network of over 200 trusted carriers, agents, and brokers serving a wide range of businesses.

About the Role
The Product Manager owns the strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for a core area of the company’s platform, as well as the stakeholder relationships that shape it. The role aligns priorities across multiple teams into one clear, sequenced plan, sets the standard for what “ready for engineering” means, and makes sure the work being built is the work that matters most. It operates with a high degree of autonomy. It is the primary point of accountability for stakeholder alignment across engineering, client services, sales, marketing, and operations, and it drives cross-team decisions to documented outcomes.

What You'll Do

Stakeholder Management & Outcomes
  • Own stakeholder management for the product area: identify key stakeholders, set expectations, manage communication cadence, and be the single point of accountability for alignment. What You'll Do
  • Gather priorities from engineering, client services, sales, marketing, operations, and leadership and reconcile them into one shared, sequenced roadmap
  • Surface conflicting priorities early, put the tradeoffs in front of the right decision-makers, and drive them to a documented resolution
  • Run regular alignment touchpoints (roadmap reviews, priority check-ins, stakeholder updates) so changes in direction are communicated before they become surprises.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies and external partners so that every open item has a named owner, a next step, and a follow-up cadence.
  • Escalate with a clear recommendation when a decision belongs above the team.
  • Own the product strategy and roadmap aligned to company objectives.
  • Lead discovery with client services, sales, and business stakeholders to identify the underlying problems behind requests and validate opportunities before committing to work.

Requirements & Specification
  • Translate business ideas into clear technical requirements — most requests arrive as a business problem, not a deliverable, and it's in this role to determine what's actually needed and who else needs to weigh in.
  • Own backlog health so work arrives at planning well-defined, right-sized, and sequenced against the roadmap.
  • Write and maintain requirements, acceptance criteria, and edge cases precise enough that engineering can build without re-litigating scope.
  • Partner with engineering on feasibility and technical approach early, and make scope decisions when tradeoffs arise mid-delivery while keeping stakeholders informed of the impact.

Process & Standards
  • Define and evolve how intake, refinement, sprint planning, and stakeholder acceptance work for the team, adjusting as team size, cadence, and product needs change.
  • Partner with engineering to maintain accurate documentation and decision records so past decisions remain traceable.
  • Identify recurring friction in how work moves between teams and drive fixes rather than workarounds.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, CRM, lead generation, or insurance/fintech.
  • Proven experience owning stakeholder management and aligning priorities across multiple teams with competing goals.
  • Track record of owning a product area’s roadmap and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to run backlog refinement and sprint planning, and to improve those processes with engineering teams.
  • Experience working with client-facing teams and external partners on integration or feature requests.
  • Strong written communication: able to turn messy conversations into clean, unambiguous requirements and concise leadership updates.
  • Proficiency with Jira or a comparable tool, and comfort using data to inform decisions.
  • Comfortable pushing back on engineering, stakeholders, and leadership when scope, requirements, or priorities are not sound.

Core Competencies

  • Stakeholder Management: Owns stakeholder relationships end to end, sets and manages expectations proactively, and keeps the right people informed at the right level of detail.
  • Multi-Team Alignment: Reconciles competing priorities across teams into a single plan, makes the tradeoffs visible, and drives decisions to a documented outcome.
  • Outcome Ownership: Defines what success looks like, measures against it, and connects day-to-day prioritization to business results.
  • Requirements & Solution Design: Turns ambiguous business problems into clear, testable, well-scoped solutions, including edge cases and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritization & Tradeoff Management: Balances client requests, technical debt, compliance, and roadmap commitments, and makes tradeoffs explicit and defensible.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Gives honest, specific status (“not yet, here’s what’s outstanding”) rather than guessed timelines, and adjusts the message for leadership, peers, and partners.
  • Process Ownership: Has the judgment to shape intake, refinement, planning, and acceptance to fit the team, and to change them as the team and product evolve.
  • Partnership Over Transaction: Works with engineering as a peer, collaborating by default but willing to hold a firm line on scope and quality.

Travel
  • Infrequent travel (up to 5%) for occasional team on-site gatherings.

Compensation
  • Base salary up to $150,000 annually, plus quarterly bonus potential based on achievement of quarterly goals.

Benefits

We support our team with comprehensive benefits that promote health, balance, and financial well‑being, including:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance

  • No‑cost mental, emotional, and physical well‑being support through the First Stop Health app
  • 401(k) with 4% company match
  • Pay for designated holidays without having to work

Inclusion: It's Simple, We All Belong

Tivly celebrates diversity and equality! We are committed to building a team with a diverse variety of experiences, talents, and perspectives. We believe that creating a culture where everyone can fit in and belong has a positive influence on our communities and our customers. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be. Creating a culture of equality isn’t just the right thing to do; it’s what Tivly chooses to do.

Applicant data will be stored securely and retained only for as long as necessary to complete the recruitment process and meet legal, regulatory, and record‑keeping requirements, after which it will be deleted or anonymized in accordance with our data retention policies.
