This is a remote position.

We are looking for an experienced .NET Backend Developer to join a long-term delivery stream supporting a large-scale, international cloud-based solution. The role focuses on building and extending core backend services responsible for complex business workflows, calculations, reporting logic, and audit traceability in mature, production-critical environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using .NET and C# in a modular, service-oriented architecture
Build and support REST APIs for complex business processes and data-driven workflows
Implement business logic related to calculations, validation, reporting, and audit readiness
Integrate backend services with frontend applications and AI-enabled components
Work with Azure cloud services to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions
Design and optimise data access layers using relational databases
Ensure high coglobalde quality through testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices
Collaborate with analysts to translate functional and regulatory requirements into technical solutions
Support monitoring, performance optimisation, and troubleshooting in cloud environments
Contribute to architectural discussions and continuous platform improvement

Requirements

Strong commercial experience with .NET and C# in enterprise environments
Proven experience building RESTful APIs and backend services
Solid understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and clean architecture
Hands-on experience with Azure services (App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, Service Bus)
Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL
Experience with authentication and authorisation mechanisms
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery practices

Nice to have:
Experience with microservices architectures
Exposure to Domain-Driven Design
Background in regulated, financial, or compliance-heavy systems
Familiarity with cloud security, monitoring, and logging
Experience working in distributed, international teams

Requirements:

8+ years professional experience in application and database development (SDLC)

5+ years .Net development (C# and/or) with object-oriented programming, SQL programming (including stored procedures development) using SQL Server 2005 and higher, developing and leveraging CI/CD pipelines, Microsoft DevOps, Bitbucket, GIT or some other source code repositories, web development using4.0 and above, MVC and JQuery

3+ years professional experience creating, deploying and supporting cloud applications, services, and databases in Azure, Technical Leadership Role with exposure to application architecture and design patterns, developing REST based web services; good knowledge of SOA best practices, methodologies, and standards

2+ years supporting applications running in azure environments, creating and modifying Classic pipelines or script base pipelines (YAML/Terraform)

DevOps management experience including security, ticket and board customization, build and release pipelines

Excellent oral and written English communication skills

Ability to understand business issues and processes and relate them to computer-based solutions

Knowledge of computer and communications processing at the high-range, network and PC levels

BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline or a combination of education and experience

Experience with change management process and use of source control systems, software release process, large scale development systems and service delivery and experience working directly with end-users
