Associate Manager, New Verticals - Fulfillment Strategy & Operations
DoorDash USA
About the Team
New Verticals is an exciting team at DoorDash that is building and scaling new ways to delight our customers beyond restaurant delivery. New Verticals owns delivery businesses across Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail, Pharmacy and DashMart. Our Fulfillment Strategy & Operations team has three mandates: onboard merchants well, fulfill every order with speed and accuracy, and keep improving our logistics network. We do it by finding efficiencies, shipping product tooling and launching operational processes at scale.
About the Role
We are scaling our New Verticals Fulfillment Strategy & Operations team. Strategy & Operations combines strategic thinking, strong analytical problem solving, and operational execution to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and drive measurable business impact for our New Verticals businesses while working cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Operations to bring these solutions to life.
We have two Associate Manager positions open so throughout the interview process, we will consider you for two roles and align on role fit throughout the interview process! The scopes include:
- Merchant Fulfillment: Build the tools and processes that let merchants pick and pack DoorDash orders quickly and accurately, from substitutions to item availability to store-side workflows.
- Dasher Shopping Supply: Design the incentives, programs and in-app experience that get the right Dashers shopping in the right stores at the right time, with higher speed and quality.
In both roles, you will own a core fulfillment metric end to end, such as order accuracy, pick speed or dasher supply coverage. You’ll use analytical & AI tools to analyze data, build dashboards, size opportunities then build tactical product strategy & operational processes. You'll ship alongside product and engineering by defining the problem, ideating on the requirements and launching product and operational solutions. You’ll design experiments and incentive changes, read the results honestly and scale what works. Not only will you build what makes fulfillment happen, but you’ll also test it - you’ll go into stores, understand the operation by shopping orders and taking that feedback back to the product and engineering teams to solve from first principles.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Lead: You'll spearhead cross-functional projects, collaborating with Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to develop and implement tech solutions that increase selection across our New Vertical offerings.
- Strategize: You will own and deliver on improving key selection metrics. You’ll create and execute quarterly and annual strategic plans aligned with product capabilities to elevate order quality.
- Build: You will build strategic initiatives and drive innovation across our offerings; this can vary from AI-powered selection predictions to improving the overall shopping experience. This means everything from high-level strategy to operational details.
- Analyze. You love working with data to drive business decision-making and are familiar with SQL.
We’re excited about you because…
- You are an operator. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you’re also able to think long-term. You are excited to experience our operation firsthand to inform your strategy.
- You solve problems from first principles. You’re excited to think innovatively, and you resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.
- You’re analytical. You possess a sharp analytical mind, and can extract and communicate meaningful insights from data to drive strategic decisions. You are comfortable with SQL and data visualization tools.
- You’re AI native. You root cause problems with a systems first approach and can identify how to automate repeatable tasks using AI tools like Claude, Cursor, Gemini or Copilot.
- You have 4-6+ years of experience. You’ve succeeded in high-performing cultures (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, startups or a related experience).
- You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree ideally in finance, economics, computer science, engineering, or a related field. An MBA is a plus!

Director, Grocery & Retail Services
DoorDash USA
About the Team
The New Verticals team is building the future of local commerce by expanding our product offerings on our marketplace platform. We launched in 2020 and have since then built world-class operations to delight our customers with access to Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail delivery through our marketplace; this team is externalizing these capabilities to help merchants improve their owned ecommerce experiences outside of the DoorDash app.
About the Role
You will lead strategy and execution for a portfolio of new bets within our Merchant Services business. Some of these bets exist already, others are just ideas and prototypes for you to validate, stack rank, and drive to fruition.
You will partner deeply with product, engineering, and design to develop a vision for the future of ecommerce as well as the tactical steps to building solutions that get us there.
You will report into a Sr Director within our New Verticals organization and manage a team of direct & indirect reports. This is a hybrid role with a willingness to consider remote applicants. Travel cross-country will be required 3-4 times per quarter on average.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Build. You’ll have your fingerprints all over DoorDash’s next big business. You’ll do whatever it takes to launch, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new. This means everything from high-level strategy to nitty-gritty operational details.
- Strategize. From first principles, you’ll develop a strategy to turn DoorDash into an indispensable partner to our merchants owned B2C and B2B ecommerce experiences.
- Experiment. You’ll transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes and feed back to your larger roadmap.
- Analyze. You’ll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions, and use your judgement to balance the short and long term trade offs.
- Lead and collaborate. You’ll work with a cross-functional team, including engineering, marketing, design, product, and more, as well as lead and develop your own pod to build.
We’re excited about you because…
- You solve problems from first principles. You’re excited to solve problems in innovative ways, and you resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.
- You’re equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you’re just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team. No job is beneath you.
- You’re unafraid of ambiguity. Rapid change and learning is exciting to you, and you thrive in ambiguous, startup environments.
- You are a leader. You have 5+ years of experience managing high-performing teams and 10+ years of experience.
- You have experience building, managing, and going to market with B2B software products. You have passion for solving end user problems, but you also understand how to price, go-to-market, and sell into large and small enterprises.
- You have completed your BS/BA Degree, an MBA is a plus
We expect this position to be filled by 7/26/26.

Associate Manager, DashMart - Network Strategy & Analytics
DoorDash USA
About the Team
Our New Verticals Strategy & Operations team is re-inventing the way consumers think about grocery, convenience, alcohol and retail delivery through both our first-party and third-party operations businesses. DashMarts are our first-party offering designed to provide on-demand deliveries by selling household essentials, groceries, brand-name favorites, local favorites and so much more. The end to end DashMart experience is powered through DoorDash. Third-party partnerships enable us to offer on-demand deliveries from both SMB and enterprise merchants across grocery, convenience alcohol and retail storefronts. The merchants own the inventory, we fulfill and deliver them! Our Central Operations team is the heartbeat of the New Verticals Strategy & Operations team that enables us to power a robust logistic platform through a high-quality, speedy and efficient network - for both DashMarts and third party partners.
About the Role
We are expanding our Central Strategy & Operations with an Associate Manager to drive network-wide performance through advanced analytics, forecasting systems, and product-enabled operational design. This function will define how demand, labor, and inventory decisions are modeled and embedded directly into the systems that power DashMart execution.
You will own forecast accuracy metrics end to end by diving deep into data, identifying root causes of variance, building systematic tools, and developing net-new forecasting approaches leveraging advanced analytics and AI tooling. Alongside forecasting, this person will support the broader labor planning process—helping to derive insights, set goals, and drive measurable business outcomes. This will include problem-solving through planning inefficiencies by developing insights and recommendations, setting goals and driving measurable outcomes.
You will operate like a hybrid of data scientist and operator — translating insights into operational and product changes. We sit at the intersection of Strategy, Operations, Product, Engineering, and Data Science — ensuring that our models are not just accurate, but scalable and productized.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced, analytical environments and brings a strong ownership mentality. You should be comfortable building complex SQL queries, evaluating forecasting models, understanding how system logic drives frontline behavior, and translating analytical insights into concrete product and process improvements. This is a highly visible role with outsized impact on cost predictability, labor efficiency, and overall execution.
You will report to a Senior Manager within our Central Strategy & Operations team. This is a non-technical role and sits under our Strategy & Operations job family, under the office of the COO. We operate in a hybrid model - you will spend some time in your home office, in person via offsites and testing products in the field - across DashMarts and third-party stores.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Operate. You will understand the forecasting systems that power our business inside and out — serving as the DRI for forecast accuracy and continuously improving how we predict demand and labor needs.
- Experiment. You will identify planning variance drivers, develop hypotheses, and test model and product changes in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Data Science — including leveraging AI-enabled forecasting tools.
- Scale. You’ll transform analytical insights into operational experiments that create measurable and scalable improvements in forecast precision.
- Build. You’ll do whatever it takes to launch and maintain forecasting enhancements — from writing complex queries to drafting product requirements and supporting GTM efforts.
- Analyze. You’ll assess the operational and financial impacts of planning improvements, model tradeoffs, and iterate based on data.
- Lead and collaborate. You’ll influence a cross-functional team, including local operations, engineering, product, and data science, driving alignment on roadmap priorities.
We’re excited about you because…
- You have 4-6+ years of experience in advanced analytics, strategy, or data science-adjacent roles. DoorDash experience is a plus.
- You’re analytical. You have a strong analytical background, advanced SQL proficiency, and a deep understanding of AI tooling. You have past experience building models from scratch, you use data to forecast outcomes.
- You solve problems from first principles. You’re excited to solve forecasting and operational problems in innovative ways, and you resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.
- You’re equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds with SQL and data analysis, but you’re just as comfortable influencing roadmap discussions and strategic priorities.
- You have strong business acumen and understand how forecast decisions impact cost, service levels, and network performance.
- You have 4-6+ years of professional experience. Ideally you have experience in product operations, advanced analytics, logistics, consulting, engineering, launch operations, or business operations.
- You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree.
