We are currently seeking a Full-time Day Infection Control Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Maryland Correctional Institution Hagerstown located in Hagerstown, Maryland.
The Infection Control LPN develops, and updates policies and procedures related to infection control with current standards of practice. This person ensures compliance and works closely with staff in prevention and control of infection.
Qualifications
Active LPN license to practice in Maryland
Minimum of two years of experience working in a public health or acute care setting with a focus on Infection Control
CIC – Certification in Infection Control preferred
Experience working in corrections preferred
Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

We are currently seeking a Full-time Day Charge RN (Registered Nurse) to join our substance use disorder (SUD) team at Maryland Correctional Institution in Hagerstown, Maryland.
The Charge RN (SUD program) is responsible for providing supervision of nursing and support staff on assigned shift in correctional setting. Additional responsibilities include providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients. The Charge RN works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to identify and respond to a wide range of physical and mental health needs.
Qualifications
Must hold valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland; BSN preferred but not required
Over two years of experience working in a community or correctional based substance abuse clinic
Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
Prior experience providing nursing care and working with a high degree of autonomy required
Prior experience in supervising nursing staff preferred
Experience working in a correctional environment preferred
Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
