Maintains the overall appearance of cemetery that includes maintenance and grounds keeping, locating grave sites, installing crypt faces and headstones, conducting interments, entombments and inurnments, and repairs and maintenance tasks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Clears debris and maintains drives and walkways; cuts grass, maintains lawn, trims around trees, walkways, and memorial markers, placing and removal of grave decorations, and snow removal. Assist in opening and closing of graves, setting up graveside and burial service equipment, assist in performing interments, entombments, and inurnments. Erects tents, canopies, and arranges chairs for graveside ceremony. Prepares crypts for entombments. Under supervision, may operate backhoe to dig graves without damage to surrounding vaults, markers, or monuments. Under supervision, may operate casket lift for entombments. Installs headstones, bronze memorials, monument foundations, crypt faces, etc. Maintains and repairs existing markers and other cemetery features. Maintains, services, cleans, and properly stores equipment. Cleans and maintains facility to include performing minor repairs, painting, etc. Observe safety rules and ensure compliance with the operating procedures of corporate, federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA regulations and Safety and Environmental guidelines. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school education or equivalent or relevant work experience. Minimum one year of relevant experience operating small, motorized equipment (i.e. weed eaters, chain saws, edger, leaf blowers, pumps, etc.). Valid and current driver’s license; safe driving record. Self-motivated, high energy and a customer-focused perspective. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Must be able to communicate and understand basic English. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES:
Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment, including, but not limited to a shovel, pick, rake, sledgehammer, lawn mower, weed trimmer and leaf blower Ability to accurately use measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, yardstick, etc.) Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time Ability to lift top 60 lbs. Ability to lift to 150 with equipment assistance Ability to push and pull up to 300 lbs. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions Ability to multi-task. About the role
We’re looking for someone who loves working outdoors and takes pride in making a great first impression. As a Groundskeeper, you’ll help keep our property beautiful and inviting for everyone who visits or calls it home. From landscaping and upkeep to assisting with seasonal projects, your work helps ensure our community always looks its best — a place residents are proud to live.
Pay is based on experience — most team members in this role earn between $17–$18.61/hr.
This role qualifies for the following bonus structure:
· Monthly Renewal Bonus
· Quarterly Bonus up to $650 – Performance based

How you will be successful
Keep all areas of the property clean and attractive, including common areas, walkways, hallways, breezeways, and amenities Maintain curb appeal by removing litter, pet waste, weeds, cigarette butts, and performing minor landscaping cleanup Assist maintenance technicians to ensure service requests are completed effectively, promptly, and to residents’ satisfaction Report any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or maintenance needs to management Assist with preventative maintenance as needed Perform other tasks as assigned by the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor Serve as an essential team member by assisting with snow removal Support management in holding landscaping vendors accountable to contract standards Maintain positive communication with residents and provide excellent customer service Keep work areas organized, clean, and safe Embrace Mills’ Core Values in all areas of responsibility and adhere to company policies and procedures
What you need
