Job Description Position Summary & Objective We are looking to add a skilled Field Service Technician to our team out of the Elizabethtown, KY or Lansing, MI region. The Field Service Technician will travel to customer facilities to lead, manage, and provide hands-on work regarding the process of disassembly, repair, and assembly of different subassemblies or complete mechanical and/or forging presses. Essential Functions Performed by the Position Ensure team is performing work in a safe manner, wearing all required PPE at all times. Lead, manage, and supervise both customer and Enprotech employees in any maintenance and press repair actions. Act as a customer site liaison for daily activities and planning. Assemble, repair, and rebuild manufacturing equipment from component parts in accordance with standard operating procedures to customer specifications. Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products. Disassembly and reassembly of metal forming presses which also requires rigging, fitting, scraping, grinding, adjustment, etc. Installs lubrication blocks, lines, and general plumbing (i.e., pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.). Troubleshoots hydraulic lubrication systems to determine necessary repairs to regain functionality. Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs. Prepares and utilizes basic hand tools including but not limited to ratchets, impacts, torque multipliers, hydraulic torque wrenches, magnetic drills, and hydraulic jacks. Verify that parts are prepped, deburred, and free from defect prior to assembly. Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards using process inspection tools and devices. Operate small lathes and mills to polish small parts and make keys. Operate cranes, forklifts, and other rigging equipment. Qualifications Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to troubleshoot machines to diagnose problems. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of basic electrical codes including knowledge of pulling wire, electrical components, switches, high voltage, and control centers. Ability to read and interpret schematics, plans, and operating manuals. Ability to fit fluid lines and pipes. Ability to assemble and disassemble parts and systems. Ability to “think outside the box” and figure out problems associated with production operations. Must be able to verbally communicate with team members, supervisors, and Engineers. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Must be able to work with solvents, oils, and grease. We are currently looking for a Field Service Millwright to add to our team located at our York, PA facility.   We are a tight-knit group that takes a great deal of pride in what we produce. Position Summary & Objective The Field Service Millwright will be responsible for installing equipment, repairing items, and transferring machinery to needed locations. Field service Millwrights work in various settings for different projects and will be responsible for following the safety and environmental requirements as it pertains to the job. Millwrights will make sure that all machines operate properly, review and follow highly technical and complex machinery manuals. Essential Functions Performed by the Position Provide on-site mechanical labor   Supply own small hand tools for use at job sites  Complete personal expense reports weekly as required  Completes and submits project documentation per the contract requirements as directed by the site FSR   Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions  Testing machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning  Repairing, replacing, and maintaining parts and systems Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Able to assemble, move, set up, and dismantle tools and machinery  Comfortable using large equipment such as cranes and trucks  Familiar with a variety of tools and equipment   Ability to read blueprints and diagrams to properly install and repair machines  Safety minded with ability to follow and contribute to the safety precautions of machinery   Hands on and proactive problem-solving skills  Strong communication skills   Ability to work independently and plan work in accordance with established schedules   Proficient in the use of reading precision measurement equipment  Required Education and Experience Associate degree with one to two years related experience   High School degree with 5 years millwright or similar experience  Licenses or Certifications Required Must have a valid driver’s license Environment and Working Conditions Remote location indoor powerhouse is most typical, some outdoor work is required but minimal  Travel Requirements (percent) 100%  Disclaimer This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Responsibilities: Confidently repair basic and major mechanical issues and perform basic electrical and mechanical diagnosis Maintain a high knowledge level of High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV), and general electric vehicle systems Follow correct repair order documentation procedures, i.e. The Three C's Effectively work with the appropriate software suite to properly and completely document all customer vehicle interactions Effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the service team (i.e., advisor, manager, etc.) as well as customers. Ability to demonstrate and teach learned technical skills/knowledge with others Demonstrate attention to detail and passion for creating positive client experiences Ability to work remotely and support mobile service team as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience as an automotive service technician, including previous experience with EV/HEV diagnosis and repair Knowledge of High Voltage systems, Low Voltage systems, and Electric Vehicle powertrains Customer facing experience exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to use applications such as Microsoft Office as well as learn proprietary DMS software EPA 609 Certification Willingness to complete Lucid provided CPR training post hire Valid driver’s license with no suspensions within the past year. Drivers under 21 must have maintained a Driver’s License for a minimum of 3 years and successfully complete Lucid Training upon hire Preferred Qualifications: ASE Certifications (A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, L3, L4 - ADAS) Experience in luxury automobile repair environments.
