Responsibilities Cleaning of flexible endoscopes and instruments. Transporting of endoscopes and dart carts. Responsible, primarily for supporting the procedural area staff, to include physicians, nursing, by ensuring that all fiberoptic scopes and accessories are cleaned, high level disinfected or sterilized per protocol, maintained, fully operational, and available for use before the start of cases. Performs processing and handling duties in accordance with departmental policy. Provides prompt, courteous customer service. Responsible for documentation for device tracking and process improvement efforts. Demonstrates ability to identify device failures and malfunctions. Effectively communicates and follows department policies for reporting malfunctioning devices and accessories or operational concerns. Maintains annual competencies to ensure expertise in fiberoptic scope functions, processing and handling. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required. CRCST, CFER, or CER Scope Processing is required. Minimum of 3-6 months experience with surgical and/or anesthesia procedures, instrumentation, and equipment is required. Knowledge of Basic Medical Terminology, Surgical Instruments, and Medical Surgical Supplies. Experience with endoscopes is required. Job Summary: Under the limited direction of the Radiologist, general supervision of the Administrative Director, and direct supervision of the Manager of MRI/CT Services, the MRI Technologist performs professional duties related to obtaining high-quality magnetic resonance images while providing exceptional patient care and ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures. Location: Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center Schedule: Friday -Sunday 7:00 am - 7:30 pm Responsibilities Perform high-quality MRI and MRA examinations according to established protocols. Position and prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and accurate image acquisition. Administer IV contrast media in accordance with department policies. Evaluate image quality and make necessary technical adjustments. Accurately document patient and exam information in EPIC and PACS. Maintain timely and accurate records, ensuring compliance with departmental standards. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist with patient emergencies and provide basic first aid when necessary. Support the education and training of Radiology students as assigned. Qualifications Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. MRI Certification required. Minimum of two (2) years of MRI Technologist experience in a hospital, acute care, or comparable clinical setting. Demonstrates proficiency in gowning and gloving. Consistently prepares appropriate supplies and equipment based upon procedural and/or surgeon preference list. Checks equipment and instrumentation for proper function prior to procedure. Performs as first scrub. Prepares room for next patient. Prepares instruments for decontamination. Maintains safe and clean environment 100% of the time. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent is required. BLS CPR certification is required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist training program including clinical experience is required. Minimum of 5 years experience as a Surgical Technician is required. Certified by The Association of Surgical Technologists, The National Board of Surgical Technology, or The Surgical Assisting Liaison Council Certificate of Surgical Technology is preferred.
