Question 6

How to Search for local Jobs

Accepted Answer

The My Jobscore service includes a search bar that lets you put in a location, a position title, or a keyword to get more focused search results of job postings.
The search feature accesses job postings from multiple sources including our own feed. We make every effort to display high value job postings. If you see an interesting job opportunity, don't be afraid to search the company in Google or Bing, the company's own career pages, as well as social networks from TikTok to LinkedIn.
Learn more about the company, and find more open job opportunities, by expanding your search.
We're always using our system to display jobs suited to you, based on your resume and location.
An important part of our My Jobscore jobseeker scoring is matching and comparing you for similar jobs to the ones displayed.

Question 7

High Suitability in the correct work domain

Accepted Answer

The My Jobscore service is designed to give you a score for a job opening, based on your suitability for the job, in the specific, correct work domain.
This means that if, for example, you are a professional, certified welder, and the job called for a welder with experience in underwater ship repairs, a high score and high suitability would reflect that you had the underwater work experience needed for the job.
If you look at your jobscore and want to understand how the service came up with the score, the best explanation is that the scoring algorithm is designed to consider many factors that will determine high suitability in the correct work domain.
Scoring is bias-free, purposefully ignoring attributes and parameters that don't directly help determine high suitability in the correct work domain.

Question 8

Download your Proof of Awesomeness

Accepted Answer

You can get a free download of your score. It's a great resource for you, and to pass on to the hiring manager, with your resume when you apply.
You'll need to have the full completed profile that includes your name, contact tel number, a link to your LinkedIn profile page, etc. You can also add a professional photo.
The score download PDF is unique for every job and jobscore you get.

Question 9

Connect with local Hiring Managers

Accepted Answer

When you get a good score for a job opportunity from My Jobscore, many hiring companies are excited to quickly get you in for an interview. In Retail and Quick Serve Restaurants in particular, the local unit manager will often reach out to top scoring candidates, and invite them to come in for a face to face interview.
Depending on the company's contract with My Jobscore, you may be able to access the contact information of local Hiring Managers inside our user menus. Typically you will see the 3 closest location's hiring managers contact information.

Question 10
