Description:Join our dedicated team as a School-Based Counselor, where you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and well-being of students.

The Behavioral Health Consultant Program is a year-round program providing brief mental health screening and individual, group and family mental health counseling services in middle school settings across the state of Delaware.
Provide intervention for students and families that address the student's behavior and family issues that impact school performance and social and emotional development.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments and needs.
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to support student well-being and academic success.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of therapy sessions and student progress.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student cases and develop comprehensive support strategies.
Educate and train school staff on mental health awareness and best practices for supporting students.
Advocate for students' mental health needs and connect them with external resources and services when necessary.
Provide assessment, planning, counseling/therapy, referrals, advocacy, and collateral contacts.

Conduct school based group counseling/therapy using an evidenced-based model.
