Sr. Sales Effectiveness Lead, Amazon Shipping

Chicago, IL
Posted about 5 hours ago
Description
Amazon Shipping is building a high-growth business designed to transform how companies think about parcel delivery. As our Business Development organization scales, we are raising the bar on how our sellers show up with customers—from initial discovery and executive conversations through complex pricing discussions and negotiations. We are looking for an exceptional Sr. Sales Effectiveness Lead who is obsessed with improving how a large sales organization sells and can translate commercial strategy into measurable improvements in seller behavior and performance.
In this role, you will own the development of the customer-facing capabilities that differentiate great Business Developers, including discovery, insight-led selling, Framemaking, value articulation, objection handling, pricing, and negotiation. You will embed Challenger principles into how BDs prepare for and lead customer conversations while building world-class negotiation capability that helps sellers frame value, anticipate buyer behavior, manage concessions, and hold price under pressure. You will partner closely with Sales, Pricing, and Finance to translate pricing strategy and commercial economics into practical negotiation strategies and support BDs preparing for complex, high-value customer negotiations.
This is not a traditional training role. You will stay close to the field—observing customer interactions, listening to calls, inspecting deals and negotiations, analyzing performance data, and working directly with BDs and Sales leaders to diagnose where capability gaps are limiting performance. You will turn those insights into targeted interventions using coaching, deliberate practice, simulations, role-play, manager enablement, and formal learning, continuously measuring whether those mechanisms are changing how BDs sell. Your success will be measured by stronger seller capability, better customer conversations, increased negotiation effectiveness, greater pricing discipline, and improved commercial outcomes.
Key job responsibilities
• Own the sales effectiveness strategy for Amazon Shipping's Business Development organization, defining and continuously raising the standard for customer-facing selling.
• Diagnose seller capability gaps using customer-call observation, deal and negotiation inspection, performance data, seller feedback, and direct partnership with Sales leaders.
• Embed Challenger and Framemaking into how BDs discover customer needs, create differentiated perspectives, articulate value, handle objections, and advance opportunities.
• Build and lead negotiation capability across the organization, including negotiation strategy, buyer psychology, value defense, anchoring, concession management, and give-get techniques.
• Partner with Pricing and Finance to translate pricing strategy and commercial economics into practical guidance that helps BDs navigate pricing conversations and protect value.
• Support complex and high-value customer negotiations by helping BDs prepare negotiation strategies, anticipate customer positions, identify leverage, plan concessions, and respond effectively under pressure.
• Design and facilitate high-impact sales development through simulations, role-play, deal-based practice, coaching, certifications, and other mechanisms that replicate real customer situations.
• Equip Sales leaders with practical coaching mechanisms and tools that reinforce effective selling behaviors in the field.
• Measure effectiveness through observable changes in seller behavior, negotiation outcomes, pricing discipline, sales effectiveness, and commercial performance.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Experience in training, performance management and coaching/mentoring
- 7+ years of experience in sales enablement, sales effectiveness, commercial excellence, sales training, or a related field supporting B2B sales organizations.
- Experience diagnosing sales performance and capability gaps using a combination of field observation, seller and leader feedback, deal analysis, and performance data.
- Experience translating sales methodologies and commercial strategies into practical seller behaviors, coaching mechanisms, and scalable development programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field
- Deep expertise in B2B negotiation, including value framing, buyer psychology, anchoring, concession strategy, give-get exchanges, leverage, and negotiation planning.
- Experience building sales capability at scale within a large, complex, or rapidly growing sales organization.
- Experience establishing measurement frameworks that connect sales enablement investments to observable seller behavior and business performance.
- Experience with Challenger Sale, Framemaking, or other insight-led and value-based selling methodologies.

Product Marketing Manager — Tech, AWS Serverless, AWS Product Marketing
Amazon
**
Arlington, VA
Posted about 5 hours ago
Description
Serverless is how modern applications get built. You'll own the story.
AWS Lambda processes over 15 trillion invocations per month. Lambda durable functions are redefining how developers build resilient, long-running workflows. Lambda MicroVMs are giving AI agents and multi-tenant platforms VM-level isolation with near-instant startup. EventBridge is the connective tissue of event-driven architectures everywhere. This is the most consequential application platform shift happening in cloud today, and we need a Product Marketing Manager — Tech who can own the narrative across the entire AWS Serverless portfolio.
In this role, you won't just market products. You'll shape how the world thinks about building modern applications. You'll work backwards from developers and architects to influence roadmap priorities, craft positioning that becomes the vocabulary customers use to describe their own architectures, and launch capabilities that set the pace for the industry. You'll partner directly with Product and Engineering leaders, principal engineers, and field leaders across a portfolio that includes AWS Lambda, Lambda durable functions, Lambda MicroVMs, Amazon EventBridge, AWS Step Functions, and the broader serverless ecosystem.
This is a high-visibility role with direct access to AWS leadership and a front-row seat to the platform that underpins AI-native, event-driven, and serverless-first architectures.
Why this role
- Massive scale, massive impact. Lambda alone powers trillions of invocations. The decisions you make about positioning and messaging reach millions of developers worldwide.
- AI meets serverless. Lambda MicroVMs and durable functions are at the center of how developers build agentic AI workflows, code execution sandboxes, and autonomous systems. You'll define how AWS shows up in this space.
- Direct partnership with product and engineering leaders who view marketing as a strategic function, not a downstream execution team.
- High-visibility stage including re:Invent keynotes, analyst briefings, executive customer meetings, Hacker News front-page launches.
- Ownership and autonomy. You'll own an entire product narrative end-to-end, not execute someone else's playbook.
- A team culture that rewards bold thinking, intellectual curiosity, and a bias for action.
Key job responsibilities
- Own product positioning and launches for one or more products in the AWS Serverless portfolio (Lambda, Lambda durable functions, Lambda MicroVMs, EventBridge, Step Functions). From naming and messaging through launch day execution and post-launch iteration.
- Translate complex serverless architectures into customer value. Create technical narratives, demos, and reference architectures that help builders understand when to use functions vs. workflows vs. event buses vs. MicroVMs, and how these primitives compose into production-grade systems.
- Influence product strategy by synthesizing signals from customer conversations, competitive intelligence, analyst feedback, and usage data into actionable recommendations for product teams.
- Be the product expert in the room. Represent your products in executive briefings, re:Invent stage talks, analyst interactions, and field enablement sessions.
- Drive adoption with technical audiences. Develop content strategies that reach developers, architects, and technical decision-makers through the channels they trust.
- Partner cross-functionally with product management, developer relations, solutions architecture, and sales to align on ICPs, use cases, and GTM motions.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology field
- Experience conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences
- 3+ years of direct experience working with customers on cloud technology adoption
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud architectures in technical domains (e.g., Analytics, Developer Tools, Compute, Databases, Generative AI)
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or Master's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing
- Experience developing go-to-market strategies for technical products
- Track record of creating compelling technical demonstrations and reference architectures
- Experience presenting to executive-level audiences and industry analysts

Sr. ASP Planning Lead, ASP Business Planning & Operations
Amazon

Arlington, VA
Posted about 5 hours ago
Description
Application deadline: Sep 15, 2026
AWS Specialist and Partners (ASP) Business Planning & Operations is seeking a Sr. Pipeline & Revenue Planning Lead to own the forecasting and target-setting mechanisms that connect pipeline generation to revenue outcomes across ASP's Specialist and Partner organizations. This role is the single-threaded owner of quarterly pipeline forecasting, revenue-to-pipeline bridge analytics, and the operational readiness of new partner revenue metrics — ensuring ASP leadership has data-driven targets, accurate forecasts, and the scalable mechanisms to act on them.
This is not a reporting role. You will build the mechanisms that translate business signals — market shifts, GTM changes, new product launches, partner maturity curves — into forward-looking pipeline targets that field teams can execute against. You'll own the end-to-end process: from data architecture and model design through stakeholder alignment, target deployment, and in-year recalibration. You'll do this in an environment where the business changes faster than historical trends can predict, requiring you to blend quantitative rigor with business judgment.
This role sits at the intersection of ASP Ops (Data/BI, business-aligned operations teams), SMGS Ops Central BI and Planning, Finance, and Data Science. You will be the focal point connecting these organizations — building efficient, scalable mechanisms that replace manual, fragmented forecasting processes with AI-enabled, agent-driven workflows.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the quarterly pipeline forecasting and target-setting mechanism for AWS Specialists and Partners — combining historical trend analysis, revenue-to-pipeline bridge modeling, and forward-looking business insights to produce data-driven, actionable targets.
- Build and maintain the revenue-to-pipeline bridge that connects bookings, revenue recognition, and pipeline generation — making the relationship between these metrics transparent and predictable for planning purposes.
- Serve as the focal point across ASP Ops, SMGS Ops, and Finance to design, implement, and govern scalable forecasting mechanisms augmented with AI-powered agents.
- Own operational readiness and planning implementation for new partner revenue metrics — partnering with Data Science, Product Engineering, Finance, and BI teams to translate metric definitions into planning-ready mechanism (targets, baselines, reporting, governance).
- Proactively identify when forecasts diverge from actuals, diagnose root causes (market shifts, GTM changes, data quality, coverage gaps), and provide recommendation to senior leadership.
- Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, decision-ready recommendations for ASP leadership — you own the "so what" and the "now what," not just the reporting the news.
A day in the life
You start the quarter by reviewing pipeline actuals against forecast, diagnosing where the model was right and fell short. You partner with BI team to update the revenue-to-pipeline bridge with fresh inputs and run scenario models for next quarter's targets. You are in a working session with Finance and BI aligning on forecasting and reporting methodologies for a new partner revenue measure that needs to be planning-ready by next cycle. After lunch, you brief an ASP Ops leader on why pipeline targets need recalibration based on a GTM change that shifted coverage — you bring the recommendation, not just the problem. Between meetings, you refine the AI agent that automates pipeline variance reporting so your stakeholders get insights without waiting for you to produce a doc. No two quarters look the same, and you make sure the forecasting mechanism adapts as fast as the business does.
About the team
The ASP Business Planning & Operations team drives strategic planning, operational excellence, and builder experience transformation across AWS Specialists and Partners. We manage annual planning, in-year planning, workflow automation, and partner internal tooling. Our team culture emphasizes curiosity, customer obsession, and data-driven decision making. We believe in "codify, simplify, automate" — fixing the process first, then scaling it through tooling and AI.

- Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
- Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, or experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
- Experience with pipeline-to-revenue conversion analytics or bookings-to-revenue bridge methodologies
- Experience implementing AI-enabled or agent-driven automation into operational workflows (design, deployment, and iteration)
