Responsibilities:
Execute all phases of cyber security and privacy control assessment support
Required Qualifications:
Masters Degree in a Technical or Cyber-related Field
7+ years of Relevant Cybersecurity Experience, including supporting federal clients
Demonstrated knowledge in the use of cyber legal, regulatory, and policy, specifically knowledge of federal cybersecurity governance frameworks, i.e., RMF, FedRAMP, and NIST Special Publications such as SP 800-53 and SP 800-171. Development and review of key authorization artifacts such as SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms
Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilities, specifically strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, i.e., confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and risk management. Demonstrated experience in the application of frameworks such as RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and FedRAMP to ensure enterprise-wide security compliance
Demonstrated experience of technical systems and tools in a wide range of cyber security defense tools and systems
Demonstrated experience of access, architecture, and infrastructure through applied knowledge of authentication, authorization, and access control methods
Demonstrated experience in business, operations, and risk management in particular risk management processes using frameworks such as RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and FedRAMP to assess and mitigate vulnerabilities across federal and commercial environments. Development of security documentation, including SSPs, SARs, and POA&Ms

MUST:
Experienced Sr Security Control Assessor
7+ years’ experience in cybersecurity programs and experience performing security testing and/or security control assessments
Must have experience with RMF in an Assessor role
Familiarity with FISMA and NIST SP 800-53 and 800-53A
Skill in administrative planning activities, to include preparation of functional and specific support plans, preparing and managing correspondence, and staffing procedures.
Skill in analyzing traffic to identify network devices.
Skill in applying confidentiality, integrity, and availability principles.
Skill in applying secure coding techniques.
Skill in applying security controls.
Great communication and interpersonal skills.
Master's Degree is required in a cyber related field
DUTIES:
Execute assessment support according to plans and guidance provided by more senior members of staff
Review Rules of Engagement, Security Assessment Plans and Security Assessment Reports
Apply risk based approaches for security control implementation and vulnerability remediation under the guidance of more senior members of staff
Work closely with Government Security Program Stakeholders such as CISO, ISSOs, ISSMs, and SCAs to quality control and quality assurance team members to ensure and improve quality of assessment deliverables
Local travel within the DMV area to conduct security assessments
Assist with other tasks as assigned
Advocated best practices to customers on behalf of Cyber Solutions. Contribute to practice development by participating in thought leadership, conferences, and assisting with white paper research and development.
