Security Support Officer - Responsibilities, Qualifications & Physical Requirements Access Control, Security Administration & Monitoring " Serve as the primary administrator for the facility's access control and badge management program.
" Create, program, issue, modify, and deactivate employee, contractor, and visitor access badges.
" Process access requests in Envoy and ensure required approvals are obtained and documented in accordance with company policies.
" Coordinate with building security regarding base building access, badge activation/deactivation, and access-related issues affecting common areas and building-managed systems.
" Maintain accurate records of badge assignments, access requests, access levels, and authorization approvals.
" Participate in periodic audits of badge assignments.
" Monitor facility CCTV, access control, and other security systems to identify suspicious activity, security concerns, safety hazards, or policy violations.
" Respond appropriately to security events, alarms, and access control alerts.
" Troubleshoot badge and access-related issues and coordinate resolution with building security, vendors, and internal stakeholders as needed.
" Provide reports related to access control, badge issuance, visitor activity, incidents, and security investigations.
" Support investigations by providing access control records, badge activity, visitor logs, and video surveillance information as required.
" Provide security presence and support for employee-related activities, meetings, and workplace situations requiring security assistance.
" Input visitor information into Envoy.
Required Qualifications
" High school diploma or equivalent.
" Minimum 1-3 years of security, law enforcement, military, loss prevention, facilities security, or related experience.
" Strong verbal and written communication skills.
" Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.
" Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and security-related software systems.
" Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and situational awareness.
Preferred Qualifications
" Previous experience in corporate, industrial, manufacturing, or commercial security environments.
" Experience with access control systems, badge management, CCTV monitoring, visitor management, and security investigations.
" Experience administering facility access permissions and employee/contractor credentialing programs.
" First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
" Certified Security Officer (CSO) certification preferred.
" Other security-related certifications, training, or professional development are a plus.
Physical Requirements
" Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
" Ability to conduct routine patrols of office, laboratory, warehouse, manufacturing, and exterior facility areas.
" Ability to climb stairs and access all areas of the facility.
" Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
" Ability to operate standard office equipment, computers, security systems, and surveillance equipment.
" Ability to observe and assess situations accurately, including reviewing video surveillance and access control activity.
" Ability to respond quickly and effectively during emergency situations.
" Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and varying weather conditions when performing patrols or responding to incidents.
" Ability to remain alert and attentive while monitoring security systems for extended periods.

AECOM is seeking a Transit Safety Security Specialist V to lead project tasks for internal and external clients across the United States through a committed approach to risk management using processes developed by FTA and industry standards from APTA.
The ideal candidate will be well-organized, a self-starter, and capable of completing any assignment with minimal oversight from senior management. This professional chosen for this key role will provide direction and guidance for multi-disciplined colleagues and junior staff for various tasks.
Responsibilities for any project may include, but may not be limited to:
- Development of PHAs/TVAs and associated mitigations/countermeasures
- Holding workshops with multi-disciplinary groups/committees
- CEL/CIL Development
- Development of DCCCs/CSCCs
- Direct interaction with agency clients and project managers
- SSC document and report preparation
- PTASP development, annual reviews, and updates
- SSC peer reviews
- SSC training for internal and external clients
