To plan, organize, and deliver value-driven skill development programs to participants in accordance with YM C A goals and objectives . Technical Theater Instructor leads classes for ages 10-18 in set, lighting, sound, costumes, makeup, and stage crew. Guides students in production skills, supports Mainstage shows, and provides safe, organized classroom and theater supervision.

What You’ll Do
Plan s , organiz e s and lead s specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
Lead s with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
Organize s and maintain s program records including, but not limited to: attendance records, rosters, etc.
Manage s all equipment.
Maintain s a clean and risk-free environment.
Communicate s effectively and timely with program participants and parents.
Ensure s all children are picked up by a parent .
Promote s other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person .
Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
Perform s other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What You'll Need
18 years of age with high school diploma or GED
Minimum of 5 years of advanced experience in specialized skill
Minimum of 4 years teaching specialized skill.
Training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area
Demonstrate advance knowledge of specialized skill
Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire

The Child Watch Associate is responsible for providing a safe and caring environment for children while in YMCA care. The Birthday Party Associate works with their supervisor to create a fun and engaging birthday at the YMCA. Engages with parents and children in a positive way in both Child Watch and during birthday parties to further the mission of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine.

What You’ll Do
Oversee the safety and whereabouts of the children in the group at all times, providing a safe, interactive program.
Maintain a clean and risk-free room arrangement.
Maintain records, including, (but not limited to): accident and incident reports, sign in/out
sheets, attendance records.
Greet parents and children daily using names in all interactions.
Report and/or direct parental concerns to supervisor.
Use positive, age-appropriate behavior management tools, including redirection and positive reinforcement, using the Y voice at all times.
Ensure compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What You'll Need
High school diploma or GED preferred
Must be at least 15 years of age or older
Experience with children preferred
Obtain and maintain all additional new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
