Responsibilities Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results. Treatment and Education: Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. Qualifications Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution. This position performs highly responsible work that will promote quality patient care and efficiency. The occupational therapist will also collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, psychologists, therapists, BCBAs, school staff, and parents to provide holistic services. The occupational therapist is responsible for planning and administering evaluations, treatment plans, consults, screenings, parent education and for promoting the overall health of the patient.
