Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
We are seeking a dependable Production Operator to join our team in Coraopolis, PA. This position is responsible for preparing metal components for production by operating abrasive blasting equipment to remove rust, paint, scale, and other surface contaminants while ensuring parts meet quality standards. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities-
Operate abrasive blasting equipment to clean and prepare metal parts for production and finishing.

Remove rust, paint, scale, dirt, and other surface contaminants from metal components.

Load parts onto racks, into cabinets, or barrels for blasting operations.

Fill blasting equipment with the appropriate abrasive media, such as sand, grit, or shot.

Mask designated areas of parts to protect surfaces during the blasting process.

Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications.

Assist with other shop duties, including fabrication, assembly, or material handling, as needed.

Support painting operations and assist with routine equipment maintenance and lubrication.

Work safely while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Follow company safety procedures and quality standards.

Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.

Experience operating blasting or surface preparation equipment is a plus but not required.

Knowledge of general surface preparation methods preferred.

Ability to read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, and manufacturer specifications.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company guidelines.

High school diploma or GED required.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.

Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nesco Resource is partnering with a leading client in Hughesville to hire a reliable Production Operator who takes pride in precision, safety, and keeping production moving .
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate and adjust saws and shop equipment to cut metal and plastic materials to specification
- Assemble products following work orders, drawings, and production instructions
- Use tools and equipment such as table saws, drills, presses, and routers.
- Conduct routine equipment safety checks and report issues or defects
- Load, unload, move, and stage materials using pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Pick, prepare, and complete pull lists and work orders for production
- Label and tag materials and products for production or shipping
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all safety, hazardous material, and waste-handling procedures
- Assist other production areas as needed
- High school diploma or GED required
- Up to 1 year of manufacturing or production experience
- Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift

Produces product by monitoring and adjusting production line operations.
Duties:
- Prepares production equipment for operation by making equipment setup adjustments; assisting with equipment changeovers.
- Documents production and production process by completing production logs; calculating production statistics; noting the receipt, flow, and return of materials; noting bins, racks, deliveries, move tickets and log sheets.
- Maintains quality standards by conducting first-piece and line-clearance inspection; completing production control charts; analyzing recordings and statistics; making equipment adjustments.
- Helps prepare others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures.
- Maintains production line operation by solving production process problems; making equipment adjustments; reporting production and quality data; reporting decisions made; referring questions to the supervisor
