Provides services to the residents of the community as determined by the Delegating Nurse/Director of Nursing as documented on the resident’s Service Plan and communicated through the caregiver guidelines. The Med Tech is a leader on the floor with the ability and responsibility to make decisions in the absence of the Delegating Nurse. Medication Technician must hold current state medication technician license in good standing. Med Tech must have sufficient experience passing medications to multiple residents, preferably in a facility setting. Starting range $18

Essential Functions:
Demonstrated compassionate, patient with a strong customer service focus Ability to show tactful compassion in high stress and emotional situations Demonstrate an appreciation of heritage values, and wisdom of residents and understand the aging process. Conduct self in a professional manner in compliance with facility policies Work utilizing guidelines established by Lighthouse Senior Living policies and procedures. Provide care as directed by the nurse or designee to residents residing in the facility. Observe and report changes in residents’ condition both physically and emotionally. Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living. Maintain knowledge of equipment set-up, maintenance, and use. Report observations related to resident care per facility standard.

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Help residents with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration as needed. Monitor residents' physical and emotional well-being and report any changes to the nursing team. Take and record vital signs when required. Assist residents with transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and mobility equipment. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents. Provide companionship and emotional support while encouraging social interaction and participation in activities. Document care provided and communicate effectively with nurses, families, and other healthcare team members. Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures in accordance with facility policies. Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times. CNA preferred but not required. Salary starting at $17.00
