Job Title: Banquet Houseperson

Position Summary:
The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for setting up, breaking down, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all banquet spaces in accordance with hotel standards. This role supports the banquet team to ensure successful execution of meetings, weddings, conferences, and other events.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up banquet rooms according to banquet event orders (BEOs), including tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, and audio/visual equipment
Break down and clean banquet spaces after events, returning all items to proper storage
Ensure all equipment and supplies are clean, functional, and properly stored
Assist with maintaining cleanliness of banquet areas and back-of-house spaces
Respond to guest and client requests promptly and professionally during events
Collaborate with the Banquet Captain and other team members to ensure smooth event execution
Perform regular inspections of banquet equipment and report any damage or maintenance needs
Follow all hotel policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation standards
Support additional hotel functions as needed, including assisting in other departments during slow periods
Qualifications
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in banquets, events, or hospitality preferred
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Ability to follow directions and work independently
Working Conditions:
Physically demanding role with frequent lifting, bending, and moving of furniture and equipment
Fast-paced environment with frequent event turnovers
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varied noise levels

Job Description
The Banquet Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food for banquet events, ensuring consistency, timeliness, and adherence to food safety standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Key responsibioities include:
Prepare and cook food items according to banquet event orders and standardized recipes.
Assist with setup, service, and breakdown of banquet food stations and buffets.
Ensure all food is cooked and presented on time and to the company’s standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, equipment, and storage.
Monitor food stock and report any shortages or needs to the chef or supervisor.
Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and banquet team to ensure successful event execution.
Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food items as needed.
Operate all kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance and represent the brand with pride.
Other duties as required.
