Electrical Maintenance Mechanic
Location: 601 N. Wolfe Street, Baltimore, MD 21287
Hours:8-hour shift, 7a-3:30p on Friday, and a 16-hour shift on Saturday and Sunday, 7a-11:30p
Pay range: $35 - $40 per hour
Responsibilities
Performs maintenance, installation and repair work on electrical/pneumatic equipment, systems and components. This work is performed under general supervision and using the tools and techniques of electrical technology.
Qualifications
Journeyman Electrical Card required
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Successful completion of a four (4) year Electrical Apprentice Program, which is approved/accepted by local or state government.
5 years of related work experience.
Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
Knowledge of safety rules, procedures and practices, including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by OSHA and industry standards.
Applies electrical and safety knowledge indicated herein.
Posses the ability to solve electrical maintenance and construction problems and manage information indicated herein.
Pneumatic tube system, Fire alarm system, and high-voltage switch-gears a plus.

Purpose and Scope

Ensures program compliance with all applicable District policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations, and standards of quality programming and safety. Interprets policies, procedures, laws and regulations for staff and parents as necessary.
Supervises ELP staffs and makes recommendations for staff selection, evaluation, discipline, and terminations to ELP Manager.
Develops activities for implementation at school site.
Develops procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children while on school site grounds.
Develops age-appropriate programs and activities for students in grades PreK-12 including literacy enrichment, instructional interventions, homework assistance, meal time, recreational and structured play and organizes special events.
Implements improvements to enhance services, to achieve goals and to ensure compliance.
Maintains financial records and creates reports as required.
Ensures the maintenance of accurate and complete student records at school sites.
Performs general administrative work as required including entering and retrieving computer data, preparing reports and correspondence, copying, and filing documents, sending, and retrieving faxes and emails, answering the telephone and ordering supplies.
Shall complete at least eighteen (18) hours of professional development each school year.
